Posted 16 years agoDoes anyone know of a site where you can enter kanji [and radicals.... if that's what the second symbol is] to get decent quality images of them? [preferably ones of black on white.]
I'm working on a sig/watermark using those three but can't find decent pictures of them. I was able to get somewhat good ones of

2) The commissioner MUST have an FA page.
3) No cub [sorry but that just makes me uncomfortable.]
That's about it I think, anything else is more a preference than a rule. Such as:
-Male greatly preferred,
-Gay preferred,
-If Female/straight/bi/lesbian content is involved then only clean is allowed (though I may make exceptions,)
-For fetish work that will be handled case by case.
=====PRICING====
I'm sorry about this but I can't be as cheap as other artists, I will be charging at a rate of $8 per hour [about a 1/2$ under the UK's minimum wage.]
Average price will be $16-$24.
What I'll do is look at the piece you want coloured and compare it to my other pieces to estimate how long it will take and then give you the price based on that.
I will require $8 of the payment upfront once I agree to do the piece. [I think that paying for the first hour will ensure there are no time wasters, plus it will make me want to get it done as soon as possible (I hate owing money ^_.^)]
When the piece is done it will be sent to you and then you will pay the rest [I won't "hold it to ransom" I'll do this on the honour system.]
If the piece takes less time to complete than expected then you will only pay for the time it took me [this will be rounded up unless it takes less than 15 mins over the hour,] if it takes longer then I will increase the charge at the half-price rate of $8 per extra hour.
I can only accept paypal [can't work out how to do the lindens>cash thing even though I can buy them with paypal.] Taking Paypal also has the benefit of making it easy for me to refund people's cash with ease (as I can just send it back to where I got it.)
====WHAT YOU GET====
-100% of the rights to the art:
~~It's up to you if I can upload it to FA/yiffstar
~~It's up to you if I can upload it to my personal website [still not been made,]
-You will receive two uncompressed copies of the picture in JPG [1 with watermarks and 1 without.]
-You will receive the complete paint shop pro [or photoshop, if I learn to use it as well] file that will contain all layers of the piece [allowing you to easily change things if you wish to.]
-You can use it in commercial ventures [art CD's, portfolios, anything] without paying any royalties (though gift's of cash are always welcome ^_^) <I will request however that if you do use it for such that you use the watermarked version.>

Tamen proposed a nice idea to me to perhaps help with my complete lack of commissions.The idea is to team up with an artist[or multiple] and offer commissions where the artist does the lineart and I colour it.
What do you guys think?

That frigging hurt! (Lazer surery pt2)

I don't know if its cause I had to wait 15 mins after the drops before I had the surgery, whether they lied their asses off, or if the drops just wern't effective on me, but the surgery was the most painful thing I've been through in my life.
The rest of Monday was horrible for pain too, but after I got some sleep it was much better.
Pains gone now on Wednesday, just got sore dry eyes. Both my eyes are a bit blured but the left eye has already recovered to 20/20 vision, and the right [healing slower] is at 6/12 [driving standard.] They expect the right to equal the left and for them both to get better than they are now.

Laser eye surgery?
Posted 18 years agoI've just booked an appointment for a consultation on the 14th of may and I'd like to hear from any of you that have had this done.
What is the consultation like? [All I know is its 1.5 hours long and they put drops in your eyes which blur your vision.]
What is the surgery like? [All I know is they numb your eyes and attach stuff to your lids to stop you blinking, no idea of time or discomfort.]
What is recovery like? [I know nothing, is it painful? How long before your vision clears up? Stuff...]
Is it worth it? [Personally, I think anything is worth freedom from wearing glasses, I've worn them for 17/22 years and never liked them for even a single day.]

If you have any pieces you'd like me to colour then post the link(s) and I'll pick from what is offered.
I do not know how many pieces I'll be doing but it will be a decent number, so don't worry about posting multiple links. Also, if i've done work for you in the past then please post something, I'd love to work with any of you again.

Now here's the strange part.
It seems the screen-name, matches mine exactly. In fact, someone was talking to them and it poped up in my window and I could see the other persons half of the convo (but not my own/the id theives.)
I have my IM's connected almost 27/4, so you'd think this would have happened before now (especially as the person s/he was talking to tells me they started talking 2 days ago.)
1) How the hell?
2) Why would anyone even try to steal my ID? I'm not a popular artist, I don't do commissions or even create art. People on my contact lists tend to know about the real me and wouldn't be fooled (especially by talk of doing an art project *rofl*.) Seriously... wtf?

The way this whole shit-storms been handled disgusts me, both sides have posted hateful things and very little considered debate has occured. The staff and the users should have done better. (I've not even read 1% of all this crap and its sickening.)
For those of you leaving over this, well I respect and understand your descision and you will be missed.
For those of you telling them to GTFO/STFU/don't let the door hit your ass on the way out/etc, maybe you should take your own advice and STFU. Try looking at it from their perspecifive, many people have valid reasons as to why cub porn disgusts them, not everyone shares your interests.
As for my views on all this. Personaly, I find cub art uncomfortable (dependant on the ages of those involved. 16/17, no problem, that's legal. 13-15, ok if with others their own age but not younger or much older and not explicit <as that's natural>, any younger and hell no.)
I don't care if 'they are animals and everyone knows animals are sexually mature at age 3,' last I checked, sexually mature animals look like adult animals because... they are adults in their species. Drawing them age 3 would be a few months old in their life spans. Also, your drawing humanoids, therefore they should be following a humanlike developement timeline (and humans are a species of animal anyway.)
Cub art is no more important to me than any other extreem fetish, they are all as repulsive/acceptable as the individual chooses to find them. A child/womans life is no more or less important than that of an adult/mans (something that anoys me about new reporting, where they specifically state how may of the dead were children/of # nationality.)
In closing....
To the staff: FIX THE DAMN FILTER SYSTEM.
To the users: show some damned understanding for each other.

It cost �95 per 1GB stick ($180.46 each,) but it was worth it. Things work much better now than before though I'm gonna have to be damn careful with my money till the next part of my student loan comes through in january.

I really wanted to do it at least 3 times today but the weather had other plans and heavy downpour canceled further jumps :(
Still... first day in the mountaineering club starts monday so yay.
(Monday 17:00-18:30, Thursday 20:00-22:00, Sunday 15:00-17:00.... we have our own climbing wall *glee*)
May also join the archery club.
In other news, our dorm rooms have smoke detectors (unlike the kitchen which has a heat detector so cooking doesn't set it off,) so what did the guy in room 5 do? Iron a shirt directly under the smoke detector in his room setting it off.... that thing is one constant deafening noise.... so funny.
P.s. still looking for Genus male #1 *flutter* sell to meeeeeee.

Posted 19 years agoAfter a short correspondance about things on the web, I decided to post the current list of web comics which I read (I check these every day, except the finished comics,) I will update the list as I read more comics (I have another list of ones i've yet to start/catch up on.)
Most of these comics are furry in nature (though not all) and some contain gay characters.
