New Computer
Posted 7 years agoSo, I got a new computer... Excuse me while I work my way through a graduation from dinosaur to space ship. That being said, I have... ZERO programs. None. Well, I have Secondlife and Discord, but those aren't going to help me make art or finish stories and such. I mean, I COULD type up the rest of Ghost Makers on SL notecards, but that would be ugly af, so no.
So yeah, my to-get list is simple: Photoshop, Blender, and now my fucking Undertale shortcut has died, so I am beyond sad about that one there...
Otherwise, I'm okay. Still alive, haven't been shot yet, just about to give up on getting a fursuit, and hey, rainbow sprinkles are fucking delicious. They turn your mouth a super dark purple and make your mother not want to talk to you for a while. Good shit.
So yes, I'm going to take a comment-style poll here... When I get programs back on here, what would you like to see more of?
Ghost Makers (written and references)
That Pokémon story
Original species references (drazi, avraeleon, etc.)
Journey short comic
Castle Crashers comic
Destiny comic (just an idea here)
Back From Hiatus
Posted 7 years agoI'm back on here, and while I don't have anything to immediately present, I do have plans. Some big ones, provided I get the time and motivation. This might include updates to the Pokémon fic with Shae and Shadmere, but will most certainly include updates to Ghost Makers, both written and otherwise.
Lore is a-changin', but the soul of the story has not...

Holy Fuck, it's Not 2015 Anymore
Posted 9 years agoI just looked down at my previous journal and had a giggle...
Anyway. No, I'm not dead. Yes, I've been having problems. No, I'm not going to talk about them, because I'm working on it... "Still got that good leg," as it's said. Been organizing my priorities and even got a dog to go with me to places... His name is Sven. He's currently the bright and shining star that reminds me in his own one-hundred-pound, bed-hogging, face-pawing, panty-thieving way that I'm supposed to be the sane one of the bunch. He's rad as fuck and I love him... Ori fucking hates him sometimes, but it's a cute interaction. I don't know what I'd do without my boys. <3
Now, on to what matters to your interests...
No ETA on anything, but here are my desires listed according to priority:
Arts for other people (whichisallgrosslyoverdueandIapologizeprofuselyfor)
Continuing Ghost Makers (both art and writing)
Finishing the Pokémon story
A wordless comic targeted at the game Journey
Possibly a start on a massive project I thought up in 2008
...Now to actually haul my sorry ass out of the depressing rut I've found myself in and get the motivation to do these things, that would be greeeeeaaaat...
...Also, I'm going to Dragon Con this year. Keep an eye out for the tactical gear and respirator and please don't shoot me, since that probably wouldn't kill me and that wouldn't end well for anyone on-scene.

Holy Fuck, it's 2015
Posted 10 years agoAnd I'm starting to art again. So there.
Nothing has turned out as I thought it would, but I'm making due. Been through worse and pulled through, and I have to admit, I feel better inside now than I did a few months ago... Even though the in-house RN wrote a report to my boss saying I'm "starting to show signs of stress-induced psychosis..." Which I find funny as fuck.
Anyway, hello again. Not sure how many people remember me on here, seeing as I've been gone for a year and gaps like that tend to make people disappear on art sites, but I'm back. Not making any promises that will make me look like an idiot, like my last journal did, so... Yeah.
And who better to greet the internet again than a pariah? http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18229553/
Pariahs are an epic species and I don't know who remembers them, but I love them, so there.

Things.
Posted 11 years agoThings that will happen.
There will be art... Ghost Makers art, to be exact. Updates in my own art style and how I colour n' shit... That and you guys only have a vague idea as to what the characters look like, anyway.
Also, Ghost Makers updates. Lots of them. I've been cuddling that little red notebook awfully close lately and the hardest chapter (for me) is over with, so there's a lot more going on there. Lots of writing happened all of a sudden, and I am going to get to typing shit out within the next few nights. So there, go start reading on that to get yerselves warmed up.
So yes. Updates. They will happen. Whilst still searching for a job. Going to go sleep off this headache now, since it quite rapidly went from a dull ache to a sudden, throbbing pain at the top of my head... The speed of the change was quite astonishing, really...
EDIT: Now that I'm not nursing a throbbing headache, have the first part of Ghost Makers. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3609282/

A Message to the Depressed
Posted 11 years agoLoss of Childhood Memories
Posted 11 years agoSome of you know exactly what that title was referring to, some don't. For me, it was a bit of news sudden enough to dampen any good in my mood for the rest of the evening.
Robin Williams
July 21, 1951-August 11, 2014
As one of the most influential people from my childhood, ranging from Genie to Patch Addams to one hell of a laugh onstage, it comes as no surprise to hear that such a man is being considered a suicide victim. Suicide... I don't understand it. There really isn't much of a way I can grasp the situation entirely.
It may have ruined the buzz of a good day, but I won't remember him for this. I'll remember all the times he's made me laugh, cry, and laugh until I cried. Whether he be the man trapped in a board game for twenty years or the man who used Spore in such a way that made the platypus look good, he'll always be one massive load of fond memories that helped me learn to live in my childhood.
Rest in peace, you ubermensch, you. Find the good laughs.
Hello, Ohio.
Posted 11 years agoSo, my long-planned and quiet move to Ohio worked out pretty great. Brought two cats with me, enjoyed the whole thirteen-hour drive with them. They have great singing voices... Anyway, so I'm good. Don't know any of my surroundings. Anyone around the west side of Toledo want to come introduce themselves? ...Avraeleons are naturally social creatures, I swear. Toledo, Lemoyne, Maumee, around there...
Working on finding a job, preferably with insurance. Going to need that. Also going to see about looking at new cars... One look at Virus and you'd understand why. In the meantime, I'm going to get more active on here. Do some more art, for the most part. Going to kick up commissions to get some extra funding until I can get paychecks. Because money. And how important it is. So very important.
So there you have it. Just moved, settling in, need money, will update some art when I get back into the swing of things.
HEY! HEY, GUYS!

I FOUND MY CHECKBOOK!!
*rejoices quietly*
Okay, so...
Posted 11 years agoSome of you have noticed that I'm faving work that you (multiples) have posted, like... MONTHS ago... That's because I've finally gotten the 400+ messages out of my inbox. lol
So, if anyone wants to see some seriously amazing work, go perv through my fave list. Most of it is from Murcifer and Maelice, but that's kind of to be expected. Otherwise, go have a fucking look. You won't regret it. Promise.
Also, support Fredrik Miller. Because reasons.
My own art? Oh yeah, yeah... I-it's comin', it's comin'! >_>; G-gimme a sec, hang on...
ROLEPLAY, WRITING, ART, AND LIFE UPDATES.
Posted 11 years agoDue to a changing work schedule and some ongoing stress, lots of things have been changed and/or put on hold.
My current priority roleplay is going to be in the Realm of Mystara sims in Secondlife, either as Aparah (my pariah dragon) or as Raevik (my alpine gryphon). It's sort of understood that Aparah's story is kind of sluggish, especially since the custom applications needed for the input of his son are currently closed, and have been so for quite some time, until the administrators accommodate for otherwise. Any scenes I play with him are essentially like comic strips. Just moments in his existence that really don't have a hefty impact on any particular motive of his... Like the time he ran into an old friend and ended up scaring a she-wolf who thought she was going to take her bad day out on the two scariest dragons in Mystara. lol Who's idea was it to try stalking two black dragons at night and call it a good idea? He does have a currently active arc going, but it's not exactly timed and can be filled with "offscreen events" that can stack up to no particular merit until my schedule loosens up... More or less, his soul is in a few different pieces and one person (who died in a past RP) has the largest chunk containing most of his memories and understandings, and another person (who the delusional bastard thinks betrayed him to his death) has a small, but important fragment of it, namely his compassion. The resolution of this could possibly involve a new character application and possibly a major (but non-fatal) conflict, so it's definitely something that will take some time. And I have little room for time. More to come for why.
Raevik, however, is a bit of a different story. He's a happier critter, so it's easier to focus on him. For stress reasons. Don't judge me. The old bird's got some interesting feels going on and most of his interactions with one character are getting a bit cute, so I'm interested to see where that goes. On another note, he's a bit of a social bird and his spring/summer plumage is coming out, so I kind of want to get him out and interacting with other characters... I originally wanted to get him into the children's group as a storyteller, but that takeoff kind of stalled and dropped into the thick Mystarian mud after people went missing early on... So Raevik's story stagnated when it shouldn't have, and I need to get that ball rolling again at some point. Hopefully soon. Maybe. Depends on things.
INTRA SIDERA. Yeah, the epic, ongoing Mass Effect/Born of Night/Dishonored/FURRIES IN SPACE thing me and... Two friends have had going on lately... I had hoped to be raking in some more players to help diversify the as-for-now "private" storyline, but with real-worldly stress mounting on everyone's shoulders and everyone handling it differently, I've firmly decided to put the Intra Sidera RP on hold until the three/four of us get our shit figured out, prioritized, and in proper fucking order. The story is amazing. I've had several people outside the RP wanting a fully organized and printed version of the storyline up and available on here or elsewhere. But we can't be bored, stressed, and clueless at the same time and expect things to be productive. Yes, there are things that need to be done. The Milky Way HQ has been wiped from existence by a supernova, it's Leader has died quite violently, Heller was severely injured in the attack, Edge is... Being Edge, Vohlk is hitting a special kind of puberty, Kooper is somewhere off the station doing something of little impact, Evan is due for showing Edge something cool, and some characters need to be introduced. Yeah, stuff needs to be done. It's kind of important stuff. But we're kind of important too, so until everyone gets their ducks in a row and stops feeling like our little recreational improv is a must-do, the Intra Sidera story timeline is officially frozen. We will re-convene once all of our reactions stop being meme-worthy and all of our lives have straightened up to the point where we don't need to drug our own tea to be chill. lol
The Pokemon fanfic... To be honest, I've got only like... Two (?) more chapters written and completed somewhere on my laptop, and I haven't even thought about it since then. I haven't touched Ghost Makers for the simple fact that the following chapter is... Difficult for me to write. Seriously. I wrote it once, and I trashed it because not only is it seriously unhappy, I didn't handle it very well on a structural level. There are a few decent chapters that can be typed out, once I have the time and get-go to throw the covers down and do it, but again, that motivation will come when real-worldly stress has toned down and I get some free time on my hands... That mythical "free time" I hear about... So yeah, Ghost Makers is going to take priority over the Pokemon fic. Which is how it should have been in the first damn place. Also, art from Ghost Makers. It occurred to me the other night that you guys only know what Sonar and Sigers look like, so I have yet to get references up of *takes a deep breath* Roadrunner, Impy, Nikko, Anna, Chad, Vic, Thash, Valentine, Miley, Lily, Bibi, and Dimitri... Yeah, that guy from the very first damn chapter that has no physical description as of yet. On a related note, I may put up a picture of the giant, goofy bartender Impy kicked a can at early on in the story... It's kind of his one appearance, but he had dialogue, a description, and a name, so it's a whatever thing if someone's curious enough. So yes. Ghost Makers and its character art is taking priority over Pokemon. Duh, me.
Art and stuff is what I'm going to be doing for now. YES, I DO ART. FOR THIS WEBSITE. FOR OTHER PEOPLE TO SEE. I have maybe two pounds of papers worth of sketches from when I worked at the factory that may be funny/interesting enough for people to see, so I may scan those in and let you all perv them... Slowly... So I don't spam FA's front page... lol I'm serious, it's a LOT of pen sketches and little comic strips. It WILL flood the front page and all of my scraps gallery and your inboxes. That is the "no-brainer" part of my to-do list. The one thing I must put dedicated time into is the commission I referred to in the last journal. It's Intra Sidera related, so I've got that going for me. It's also detailed, because one character had to be covered in motherfucking crystals head to tailtip. Literally. But yes, that's what I will be doing for now as my recreational "get my shit together" project. A commission that should have been done quite some time ago. I've got a rough sketch of it, but yeah. Needs to be done.
As for me... Hell, I'm doing fine, I guess. Working hard, got me some money for the student loans that are kicking in, and hey, I managed to pay off that loan I made to bail my parents out of tax debt... Not as bad as it sounds. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay... So there's one bit off of my shoulders. For the first time since I left to try and live in Memphis, my bank account almost reached over 2,500... Of course, I killed that number by paying off the loan, going grocery shopping, making a payment on a student loan, and paying a vet bill, but it was there! lol I lost one of my checkbooks, though, so I have to hunt for that... I have a feeling I know where I left it, and it's probably with my signature knife that I lost on the exact same day, but I have to wait for someone to come back from doing the epic shit he does. And I can do some more of that epic shit with him. With said checkbook. ...Sssssssecretsssssss...
...Loveyouall.
Anyway... So there you have it.
TL/DR, ACCORDING TO PRIORITY: Personal/small project of Intra Sidera with friends is on hold until all of us can stop acting like little shits. Working on a big commission. Putting Secondlife on the backburner, but any roleplay I do will focus on Raevik in Mystara and a little bit of Aparah in there from time to time. Ghost Makers chapters and art will be submitted according to priority, all at the cost of the Pokemon fanfic thing. I'm getting my own RL back in order.
I should pay more attention here...
Posted 12 years agoSo here I am, back and busy. Got a new job, even though it pays less... Loving it, though. My last job excelled at sucking my soul out night by night, and even though it payed $12.26/hr, I don't miss all the douchebags that liked to sponge at my morals and strain my patience... In this job, I get to tell people to quit whining like little bitches and get away with it. Putting people in the floor for being an asshole is fun, actually... Good stress reliever.
On another note, I'm still in some RPs in SL despite my work schedule, so feel free to ask me about my characters in the sci-fi Intra Sidera or the medieval Mystara. My lovely pariahs are still active and scary, despite how difficult it is to find Aparah these days (blame the seasonal weather and how I'm keeping it logical), so feel free to drop in and feel the fear. :3
And for those in Intra Sidera, let's everyone assume my main character (Edge) holds the same work schedule I do... You guaranteed won't see him Friday through Sunday and every other Monday. He's busy doing assassin stuff across the galaxy.
ART. So yeah, I'm going to be starting on a commission soon, and maybe some doodles... I'm going to get back on that before the weather warms up and Aparah comes out of his underground hiding. I have in mind a piece for him, a piece for Edge, some doodles and references, a new chapter of Ghost Makers (HOLY SHIT), and a commission to do... And maybe a collab! I'm looking at you, Charu... OwO
As far as that Pokemon fanfic goes... I'm still working on it. Kind of. And speaking of Pokemon, that bank breaks my fucking heart. I'm going to lose my Arceus, seeing as the event never happened, for some fucking lame reason. I coded for the flute delivery and let the full event run its course without any assistance, so I essentially played everything by the rules... I'm just going to lose my beautiful dark arceus because of some fucking stupid reason or another about the event not happening. Even though it was legitimately coded into the game. So yeah. My beloved arceus. That I actually worked for ingame. I'm not getting her for Y. And there's no reason for it other than the legitimately game-coded event I played through ingame never happened. Thanks for that, Nintendo. Good job baiting us there. Her name was Archea, by the way. She wasn't some fucking lv.100 giveaway with maxed-out stats and an exclusive moveset. She was lv.89. With moves I taught her. Through TRAINING, you know, like you're supposed to do... And yeah, bonding. Never wanted some empty-ass lv.100 machine that I had no personal bond with and I couldn't nickname. I just wanted my Archea. My Archea, that I put my heart into battling, catching, and training. Not yours that you so graciously coded-up and tossed out at Toys R' Us stores for tactless little kiddies and uber-collectors.
...So anyway, there's my rant for now. Going to let my mind wander toward all the other creative stuff I mentioned and... Actually get back to work. Since I'm typing this out at work. lol
Stay fluffy. I'm still fluffier.
Commission info is in all my other journals, go look.
The Legend of The Drazi, The Ironbones, and The Pariahs...
Posted 12 years agoAfter a few years of this creature being in development, I think it's time to talk about the pariah dragons and the ironbone dragons and where they originated. If you roleplay on Secondlife in Mystara, you can meet one in person... The Pariah King, actually. He wasn't the first, but he certainly made history for the pariahs and the ironbones. That said, time for a history lesson fit for the medieval RP they're set in...
----
When the world was in perpetual spring and war was little more than a dark fairy tale, mortal creatures of life shared the same infinite land. The mythicals, commonly categorized as dragons, gryphons, unicorns, and other such creatures, were given the duty to care for all other lives in the world. The majority of drazi, however, were different. They were too proud of their long, lean bodies and shimmering silk-feathered manes to care for the weaker, less colourful creatures of the world. Their silky hides flashed in any light, making a mockery of the brightest fish and birds. Their speed rivalled the hooves of the dashing unicorns and their long legs could even overtake their dragon bretheren in flight. Their eyes put to shame the purest of gemstones, and their lilting voices crossed the winds and left the most hardened of hearts swooned with content. The elements, at times, would even bend to their will and many would tread on fire without burns, dive to the bottom of the depths without death, and leap into the clouds without fear. They cared not for such banal creatures that scratched in the mud and soiled in the water. They hunted and ate without discrimination, and sprawled alone in the open with their bellies to the sun. No creature dared to cross them...
The gods, however, were quite displeased. "No more will you be in paradise," they said to the drazi. "Your hides will be plain and the colour of the deep earth unseen by mortal eyes. Your voices will become hoarse, and no creature will understand your heavy tongue. Your bodies will become thick with the weight of the world's materials, immune to the feeling of touch. Your eyes will become dull and dark, and all of the same appearance. You will find your food in the dirt, under the feet of all other living things that cross the ground. Your eternal spring is at an end, and in this way you will die as alone as you have lived, and without comfort." To the gods' will, the selfish drazi were as such. Their bones split and became iron, and their hides turned black and dull. Their eyes were dark and featureless, and their manes fell out. Their mythical bretheren disappeared from their sight, retreating from them as the gods had predicted. Though they wailed in agony for their hideous change, they were hardly heard over the leaves that fell around them. Their eternal spring ended, and the wind grew cold.
The animals saw them and pitied them. They brought themselves to them, offering food of all kinds to comfort them. "Leave us alone!" They wailed. "We have become ugly and foul! Let us die for this horrible fate!" But the animals couldn't understand them past their heavy tongues and continued to give them food. When they ran away from the animals, they were finally alone to mourn the loss of their supremacy and beg for forgiveness from the gods. As the first snow began to fall, there were three different reactions from the fallen drazi. The first group grieved over the cold and believed they would die alone. The second group relented their own will and, one by one, disappeared into the cold, never to be seen by the others again. The third group nurtured their fury toward the gods, growing bitter and promising vengeance against the gods for their cruelty.
The first group of fallen drazi wept, until they found a large cave to rest in. They forced themselves in until there was no more room, and some were pushed out of the cave from disagreement until they fought their way back in. An elder, unable to find the strength to drag himself in from the cold, lay down in the snow to succumb to it. A silent youth saw this and stepped forward, pushing the elder into the warmth of the others and using his own body to shield him from the bitter cold, then giving him a kiss on his head. The others in the cave saw this and felt a great sympathy amongst each other. They all traded places throughout the night, keeping each other warm in turn and sacrificing their comfort for the others. They cared for each other, keeping their elders safe in the center of them all and kissing each other's heads to show the strength of their bond. When the sun rose the next morning, all in the cave had survived thanks to the efforts of the young one who sat at the entrance of the cave. The youth was frozen into a statue, still seated with his back to the cold, still calmly defending the rest of his kind after death. When the rest moved to leave the cave, all took the time to kiss the frozen youth and none mourned. Instead, they stayed as one family and praised the efforts of this selfless one, praising him as they went into the sunlight. The gods saw this and returned to them, showing pity and offering them their past returned. When the dragons refused, saying they had found contentment in their trials. The gods smiled and were at last pleased with them. "Very well," they said. "Your appearance will remain, your bodies will remain of iron and dirt, but your souls will shine brilliantly where your care was shown. Your bond is your weapon, and you and the rest of those like you will share this insignia that shines with the colour of your souls. Where you have kissed your bretheren, a glass blade will be in its place, and only when your lives pass will it be broken." Just as the gods had said, the dragons' foreheads were graced with a shining blade, unbreakable until death. The gods left them with this, and the ironbone dragons took to underground, waiting for the spring so they could move to warmer lands...
The second group of fallen drazi emerged on the other side of the cold, losing many on the way. They formed groups and planned, facing the cold without fear. They spread across the land carefully, returning to each other with anything new they had found. Some found food, others found shelter, and others still found potential nesting grounds. They kept their minds sharp and avoided the cold where it was worst, only revealing themselves when the winds had stopped and the sun was out. They braved all dangers to find safety, often calling to other animals for help and learning the land through them. When the bitter cold became too fierce, they gathered their things and retreated to the shelters they had found. They gathered all the rest of their groups and huddled close, but even the best shelter they had found did nothing to keep them warm. When many began to fear death, they sent a group out to find other animals and bring them in. They succeeded in bringing many animals to their shelter, using their warmth and in turn giving them safety from the cold. When the sun rose the next morning, all had survived. The dragons emerged with the other animals, and they continued on with their new way of life. The gods saw this and stopped them from their busy ways, showing how pleased they were with their cleverness and their unselfish ways. When the dragons said they had learned well from their past arrogance and would repair all they had done by becoming caretakers of the lesser beings, the gods offered them their past back to them. When they accepted, the gods granted them back to how they had been. "Your crafty ways have saved you," the gods said to them. "You have shown that there is still hope for your kind, and you will now be given back what you lamented losing. Should you return to your selfish ways, you shall return to the dirt and darkness you have suffered before now. Your gifts have returned, and you shall do with them no more than good." The dragons accepted, and the drazi once more turned to unrivalled beauty and grace, using their great gifts to protect all those around them...
The third group of fallen drazi saw the cold and cursed it, knowing well of the death it brought. They did not seek shelter. Instead, led by a wise female, they made their own and immediately took to underground. They carved their way down under the earth, never stopping until they found warmth in the cavernous deep, lit by the fires of the earth. They used their heavy iron bodies to their advantage and no obstacle stood before them that they could not destroy. It was there they thrived, growing in number with the female's promise of revenge against the gods. They bred and their offspring were strengthened, and every night when the weather was warm, they would return to the surface of the earth to show their children how to kill with great speed when the gods could not see. The female lived on, leading them all on this same course of supremacy until the gods would return. At last, the gods had found them in the depths of the world where none else could see, and the female ordered the majority of them hidden before the gods could find them. When the gods arrived, the female kissed her children and bretheren on their heads and welcomed the gods to meet them, saying they had found strength in their close bond. The gods were pleased with this, believing the female's smile to be sincere. When the gods wished to offer them a gift, the female approached. "We ask for nothing more than what our bretheren have recieved," she said. "Surely you have found them pleasing, and we will need nothing more." The gods agreed and gifted them with the speed of their past and the glass blade that contained their soul. The female's horn turned gruesome, however, and was curved like a scythe and covered with hooks. She called the rest of her followers out of hiding and the gods were suddenly surrounded by the dragons that fiercely outnumbered them. She turned on them with the gifts they gave to her and her kind, and with her utterance of one word, they attacked the gods. "We have proven your power is useless," she said to the gods as the war went on. "We do not need your rule, and your decisions will not be considered among us, for we are greater than you and will always be so!" The gods retaliated against the dragons and felled many in the deep of the earth, but they were no match for the unbridled fury they faced. One by one they fell, victims to the brutality they had created in these dragons until one last god remained. "We are superior," the female had said to that final god, "and we will demolish all else that finds comfort in your cruel reign." The god showed pity in the female for her view, then spoke in final authority. "Hear me! Your bitterness is your weapon, and your brutality has raised you up, but your dominion will not reign forever. Behold, your own blood will turn against you, and your end will be as mine. Your rule will be handed over, and in time will fall to ruin. This will come to pass as I have spoken!" The female spat at the words, then attacked with her fangs to the god's neck to sever head from body. She stood tall with her children and was called the Matriarch, and she took the head of the final god and brought it to the surface, throwing it to the wind with a terrible laugh. "Our time is now," she shouted to her kind. "We must traverse the worlds and rid them of their gods and take them for ourselves. For this is how it must be, and no being has dominion over those who feed upon the gods!" So every night in the warmth of the year, the pariahs would rise from the dark depths of the world to traverse the surface, destroying the gods of worlds and all who followed them, then return to the deep when the winter cold arrived...

So there you have it. The drazi, who obeyed and learned and went back to how they were in paradise; the ironbones, who reformed and went above and beyond with no wish to be gifted in return; the pariahs, who built upon their bitter fury and tricked the gods into making them superior to them... In Ghost Makers, drazi are a rare and exotic breed of dragons that still retain some level of control over an element relative to their bloodline... You'll learn which one Roadrunner has toward the end of the story. He makes it very clear. lol The ironbones were featured in Mystara for a time, and there was a major plot that led to their complete extinction because of poaching... So yes, the ironbones are gone for good, and it was a pariah that did the last one in... The Matriarch, to be exact. And now there is Aparah left in Mystara, the Pariah King who has armies ravaging all kinds of different realms behind the scenes. As of right now, the pariahs only exist on Secondlife, as far as solid designs go. Aparah, played by me, and his son Nazari, played by my sister, are the only pariahs out there right now... And they're just awesome and I love them and you need to see them sometime. lol
So there. Have some awesome reptiles. I'll get to writing about skraines again, now that they're totally finished, and I'll have another journal for the terraeleons and the avraeleons now that they're renamed... No more fokkles. That's a silly name.
Anyway, still unemployed. Still hurting for munny. Have some commission info.

Welcome Back, Markoh.
Posted 12 years agoHey, FA. I'm back again. I'll go on and break things down in paragraphs... Easier on everybody.
Secondlife. Lots of people on my list know I'm heavily involved in Secondlife. If any of you are interested some story-driven sci-fi RP with minimal combat, I highly encourage you to join me and my friends. There are only four of us involved right now, and one of those is typically a morning person, but we're a pretty passionate group, to be certain. So far we're mainly operating around Furry Abyss (sim name Designed Chaos) and sometimes in sort of unpopulated clubs. Place called Naughty Paws Club was pretty good last we went in. The RP we run is heavily based off of a mixture of the League series by Sherillyn Kenyon and Mass Effect. There are six galaxies: Milky Way, Andromeda, Pinwheel, Alexander, Alethia, and Saggitarius. There is a Galactic Representative for each, heading the HQ of the League of the Order Assassins Republic. They are the driving authoritative force, but they aren't a divided one. They're feared, yes, but not evil... Just scary powerful. If you want info directly related to the LotO and what they do, send me a message on Secondlife. As for a random heads-up, in case you want to join the RP as a well-loved civilian, the Andromeda galaxy is currently undergoing the notable worst of an intergalactic anomaly of supernovae and black holes, having the most of such. Traffic rates are a little scattered, mostly on a "let's get the fuck out of here" trend. There is all sorts of interesting things to know. Just IM me or send me a notecard. You can find me as Shifty, or Doctor Adagio. Yeah, it's a mostly furry-driven RP, but humans are welcome too... And cyborgs... And AIs, to a certain extent. Just have to give me a really good reason to have a feral involved... I won't go too far into it here, though. IM me if you want more.
Pokemon Y. Fuck yeah. Yveltal is Bahamut Zero. This game makes me far too happy to be able to pet a life-sucking satellite. Elite Four is about to be destroyed. That is all.
Ghost Makers. It's almost done, actually. The handwritten copy is down to its final three chapters and I'm currently working on getting the digital copy underway. It's not going to end like I'd initially planned, and depending on how I want the characters to turn out in the sequel, there is still a little room for variance... Yes, it's still going to be sad. All war stories are. Just how sad depends on how I want the city to turn out, or if it'll be there at all... You'll all see what I mean by chapter eight.
Income... I got fired today over stupid shit. Commissions are open, as always. Prices are unchanged. I will get back to arting when I'm done prepping for a contingency plan.

Back-ish
Posted 12 years agoBack from VA... Didn't go any better or worse than I thought it would. Subtle mockery, being hauled around places, saaaaaaaaaaand... That Friday was the highlight. Walk the beach for a bit (surprisingly, no sunburn this time), patch up the foot, go eat at a desceptive little in-ground boat that nearly doubles in size when you enter... All-you-can-eat seafoot buffet. Quality I've never known anywhere else... Then the drive home the next morning. Drove the truck, for a change... Parents said we made good tome cming out of Memphis. I said it was because I was driving. I could go into the whole unwritten road rules thing again, but I'll spare you all.
Dog was put down. Was a rough time, yes, and I was quite drunk for awhile. So there's that story.
On SL a lot these days. Working on the RP and how it will go... Anyone interested in sci-fi furry RP, let me know. Got a small group going and we're working on plots and things. IM Doctor Adagio (that's me) or Dagger Evanier (my sister) on Secondlife if you want any info. Note: Yes, this does have something to do with Furry Abyss. It is, in the future, our major waypoint and will be likely our go-to sim when it is finished... The remodel is coming along spectacularly. It's only a matter of time and that lag-free beauty will be finished... It looks like the Presidium. Just saying. Go see it.
Also, commissions are going to open again. Have a lot going on financially and I'm starting to lose money at a discomforting rate. Commission prices have been in every journal I've made so far, so go on ahead and look around. I plan on getting more active on here and I've been hammering away at Ghost Makers while I'm at work... Either no one's seen me do it or they just know better than to confront me about it. Either way, the written part is almost done and I'll be typing that up soon now. Pokemon fanfic will also be finished within the next three chapters, so be ready for that as well.
Some species have been renamed and some new ones have been made... Art of everything will follow. Some names inclue: Durvin, avraeleons, terraeleons, pariahs (a couple of you have nightmares about these), and some small side-species like nimas and reili... Needless to say, there's a whole new planet available. Ghost Makers ran out of room, apparently.
But yes. I'm back. Not as fluffy. I'll be more active soon. Commission info available in other journals, since I don't have time to copypasta right now.
Disgruntled Update
Posted 12 years agoSorry I've been so... Absent. It's been a stressful time for me on my end, and the days seem to have blurred together in a very disappointing fashion. Truth be told, I'm beginning to wonder where I'm going and what I plan on doing with my future. I've lost quite a bit of artistic creativity in the past few... Weeks? Months? I dunno. Picked up the tablet the other night and was endlessly frustrated by how I simply couldn't get anything to look right. I've gone everywhere from losing my voice, to losing a good friend, to getting into more family arguments, to nearly losing a pet all in the same... Time span. I've lost track. I normally don't stress. In fact, I'm so mellow and neutral most days, it's very easy to see why my fursona is an undead... But all this is getting to me. I think sending the mares off to be bred is what did this. They're not on my property, and I can feel the distance between me and my big little sister... And it's agonizing.
My house is an excavation site because my aging mother can't seem to settle for a design and my father can't say no to doing all the renovations single-handedly. Everything is in complete and total disarray, and the chaos has my mother breathing down everyone's necks, not to mention continuously spouting political bad-happenings in that god-awful soapbox voice of hers and becoming so much more of a Bible-thumper than I ever imagined I could possibly tolerate. She's started a rather unsettling change over the past three years that's made her not only wickedly controlling, moreso than her usual guilt-tripping, but she's now picked dominion over everyone else's decisions, like they have to be cleared through her first... And before any of you start being friendly and telling me to confront her about this... One doesn't just "confront" Markoh's mother.
Some of you know this job of mine, and what it does to people... More accurately, what it does to the shapeshifter personality. It dulls, corrodes, and eventually completely ruins any good, graceful, mannerly, or otherwise intelligent habits one might develop over the years. My attendence record is flawless, only because they only give you seven chances to take off and it takes a whole fucking year to earn a day back. Just one fucking day. This is the major source of my frustration on this lovely spring night. This attendence policy occurred to me just how unfair it is. The friends I so desperately want to visit won't see me, simply because I absolutely don't have the time to be physically present because of this policy. My year mark is coming up, so I get a week's vacation... And it's being spent in VA during the first week of July. I cannot describe to any of you just how badly I do not want to go, but I do so because of my brother and his daughter, and the insistence of my mother and (to a small degree) my father wanting me to stay close to the family... A reasonable truth, you might say, but when my brother is typically a psychological weapon my mother uses against me to contrast my failures, the visit to the itchy, salty, smelly beachfront city is made even more bitter by the knowledge that I will not only be ignored for the greater part of the visit, but I will be subtly made fun of the whole fucking time... And people wonder why I can't handle being made fun of at all, even in a joking manner. I bet none of you really knew that, did you?
Long story short, I'm slipping back into a lifestyle I thought I'd left behind years ago... And it's honestly depressing me. I don't GET depressed. I'm usually cynical enough and full of dry humour that I can clear the air and keep things chill, but I find myself extremely short on patience and constantly wanting to... Talk. About this. I don't fucking talk about my problems, ever, but here I am, talking all about them. Well... The most recent ones, anyway. Why can I not just deal with it, you ask? Because that's all I've been doing for the past sixteen fucking years, that's why. On top of it all, I have a dog that's been family for years that can no longer get up without assistance, and my mother has been talking about putting her down. She was the guardian of my territory since we first got her. She moved with us when we moved and let me show her the boundary, and she'd keep it. She'd chase hawks, for fuck's sake. And even though she still smiles at me when I come home, pink bloody muzzle and all... She's going to be put down. My right hand, as it were, who not only adopted and defended all the animals I put into her care, but actually managed to kill other predators her size...
I guess it's just years of "dealing with it" coming to a head tonight. But enough about that, on to things that concern you.
I've been writing in Ghost Makers again, and it's coming along nicely, I think. I've currently finished eight more chapters in the past... Unknown time span, but I seem to have hit a typical block in my latest, so I'm going to slug away at that stupid little pokemon fanfic I'd been writing on. After all, I left you watching a tense apology take place the last time you read anything... So I'm going to start on that. Maybe not seem so dead and useless here, at least. I'll see what I can do.

Shameless SL Advertising... And small update as well.
Posted 12 years agoOkay, Secondlife RPers. Have you ever pulled up your search bar and typed in "RP" or "roleplay" before? Know what you get? Medieval. Fantasy, gorean, and the ever-so-classic description "dark." I dunno, maybe you're into that kind of thing. But have you ever searched "sci-fi" and found a furry-friendly sim that looks halfway decent? If you're like me and actually want GOOD RP, then you get this a lot... And don't you dare reccommend Doomed Ship. It's restrictive and dumb.
BUT!
After many moons of searching, holding out for hope that I'd find one sci-fi furry sim... I found one! I invited Night, and she took it upon herself to include links and do some fancy photo work, found in her journal here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/4267173/ It's called Furry Abyss. It's a somewhat empty city-station right now, but it's seriously got so much potential, it's incredible. A lounge club, apartment rentals, a mall area, and SO MUCH ROOM for roleplay, including a forest that seems to have plenty of cuddle oppurtunities. The forest is beautifully done, complete with ponds, tree-bridges, and little toy boats floating in the water. The city, however, is my favorite place to dwell... Simply because it was so heavily inspired by the Mass Effect series's Citadel Presidium. It's a bright, clean place with realistic trees, animated water, and--get this!--NO LAG. Now, I don't have a badass computer... In fact, it's a bit of a dinosaur with top-of-the-line [for its time] guts, and I tend to lag and crash in certain commonly-visited areas... I couldn't turn shadows on facing the sea in a sandbox. But this place is outstanding in the sense that it is so beautiful, yet it doesn't lag hardly at all, even though they are building another city level up in the sky. If the admins get their way, this wonderful place will be open to the public as a meterless free-form RP sim. So why not pay a visit? Give some linden donations, help them buy a stream, and hopefully get that club up and running so they can hire some DJs to spin some epic tunes to some RP! I mean, really... How cool would it be to roleplay in a club? *does that anyway at laggy-ass IYC*
So, there's that wonderful bit. And as for my update...
Some of you know what a shapeshifter is. Really, more on a social level, more literally known as a "social chameleon." I've gotten extremely good at it, right down to fooling some of these "naturally discerning" folks that are supposedly impossible to fake in front of. Well, there's one thing that can really wreck a shapeshifter's mind, and that's falling for their own mask. Buying their own role, so to say... And I've done just that. I got a brutal reminder today that I've begun to lose myself to this face I present so often to others in hopes to make my job easier... Well, my job did become easier, but it's taken a few anxiety attacks to realize that I'm literally erasing my true self. My voice is different, I hold myself differently, my reflexes... I won't even get started on the panic attack I had when I realized my reflexes had changed... Either way, this "reminder" I had cleared my head a bit... Had an extremely loud rant to myself up in my favorite mountain, probably scared some nearby residents, and I feel loads better. So here I go, trying to shift back to my former self... Thank God I was reminded before the transition became too difficult.
EDIT: lolWHOOPS. Put the wrong link in for a bit there... Aaaaaanyway...

Status, Commissions Update, and Game Info (ME4, etc.)
Posted 13 years agoFirst of all, Happy Doomsday and Merry Christmas to everyone. Was pretty entertaining catching up on news and handling things here, even though I felt a little bad for the people camping out near the Mayan ruins by candle light. Some friends of mine were having parties, but I flatly told them I'd be working through the end of the world, so there we have it. Went to work, survived Doomsday, and I still work with zombies anyway. lol
Now, to business. I've got a couple commissions in my queu, but it seems... I have lost that queu. Embarassed fokkle is embarassed. I can name one off the top of my head, but I would like if anyone has commissions for me to send me a note as a reminder. Been lots of things going on for me, hence my lack of mental processing and creativity, and I could use a refreshing bonk on the antlers to remind me what I'm doing. Going to be doing a lot of reference sketches to warm up my hand to holding the tablet pen again, so now would be a great time to learn what the hell a Livestream is... Because headset. And I need to stop being lazy.
Also, I've caught wind of the whole Mass Effect 4 thing. How Bioware is asking fans whether it should be a prequel to all the games or a showing of after the wars... Personally, I'd like it after. We've got the comics they're releasing to give us that "prequel" sense. For a lot of us, there was no closure at the end of ME3 (been there, not getting into it again). There was too much left open to the imagination for there NOT to be a future setting for ME4, and I think Bioware would be shooting themselves in the foot if they went back and covered in a game what the comics (and books) already cover in detail... Unless they use that as a time-filler and simultaneously work on a future-set game, or ME5, and I don't know if they've got the energy and manpower to do something like that, tbh. I'd love to be proven wrong, mind you, but that is my current thought on that matter. I obviously have done little to no research on the existence of ME4 beyond simply knowing that Bioware is asking fans about time setting, but I do sincerely hope they choose to give players a chance to see what happened afterward beyond ME3's little clip of Liara's time capsule in the "oops" ending. Just putting that out there.
TL/DR? Mass Effect 4. Let it be AFTER ME3. Everyone knows what happened before ME1 already.
Lastly, a few of you know I've gotten a hold of a PS3. I only have four games on it. Dishonored is the only one that kills things. lol The other three or Journey, Flower, and flOw, the first of which I simply cannot put down. The entire game lasts as long as a feature-length movie, and has about the same impact as one. Many of you gamers know about it's award this year... I'm not surprised in the least. Best consol-specific game of the year, I believe? I haven't been keeping up with that bit, but I did hear about it. I've completed it 100/100, found all the little nooks and crannies, all the fun easter eggs and lovingly left-in extra things, the little happy accidents... And I still play it up and down with all my heart. It's a truly inspiring game, and such a beautiful story with such loveable character designs. I know what at least two of you are thinking, and you're exactly right... I'm going to be making a short comic of that, too. Will be good practice for my environmental and colouring techniques. Will probably start that once I get a Livestream, or something... If I can figure out how to do it. lol
And for the record, quite a bit off topic from the rest of this journal, I may be abandoning my Gmail accounts. Seriously. Google... Youtube is Youtube, and my username SHOULD be used to log in, not my Yahoo account... And you shouldn't be asking for cell phone numbers when I try to log into ANY of your products... Which should be a bit more easily accessible than they are. I should be able to go from my Youtube account to my Gmail account, both of which are different TO REDUCE MY CONTACT WITH YOUR SPAM, without having to be bugged about my personal information... Or my Yahoo account. Which I don't even use. At all. So... If any of you really want to get a hold of me, contact me here, on Secondlife, or on Skype... Which I have. And I'm getting used to it. lol
So that's that. No more Gmail for me... Fucking Google.
...I'm squeezing this Lil' Richard plushie so much, I'm worrying the people in my house.

So this was pretty cool...
Posted 13 years agohttp://www.16personalities.com/intj-personality
That's what I got after this extensive personality test... Pretty spot-on, if you ask me. Go ahead and browse through all the links that have INTJ in them... You'll find out just how distant, cold, and socially awkward I really am. lol
One thing I've always wanted to see out of personality tests, more exclusively these more accurate ones, would be possible entries on how these personalities came to manifest in the individual. Things like traumas, dreams, momentous events... I just think it would be an interesting tidbit to add. Saying things like "such-and-such an event could have affected the individual's mind to take this action instead of this one and continued on, leading to such-and-such a personality trait." If these experts can figure out my 0.8% occurrance in the population, I'm sure their psychoanalists can figure out the leading causes of such mental patterns... That's just me. Thinking out loud after some vodka.
Also, art will be commencing soon. I do realize I actually have some commissions in my invisible list, but only one or two are coming to mind and that's got me all of miffed, disappointed, and worried... So all you who have commissions pending from me, yank my antler toss me an IM. Just as a reminder.

Also, art will be commencing soon. I do realize I actually have some commissions in my invisible list, but only one or two are coming to mind and that's got me all of miffed, disappointed, and worried... So all you who have commissions pending from me, yank my antler toss me an IM. Just as a reminder.

My preferred method of payment is through the mail. Solid cash, checks, money orders, it's all good, so long as you put it in an envelope you can't see through under light or include a paper note to disguise the contents if you're unsure. I will use Paypal if there is absolutely no other option for you.
Note!: If you are a returning commissioner, you may get a thank you surprise in return to your address! :D
Hey, careful out there...
Posted 13 years agoJust setting this out, hopefully to avoid some rather embarrassing moments in the future. There's apparently someone going around randomly trolling like a knight-templar, mainly picking on the betters for... Honestly, comical reasons. This guy seems to be in the mood for pointing out "stolen" species, unoriginal characters, and... Uh, people not wanting to do commissions, in one case. Now, play nice. I don't encourage trolling... But seriously, if you're up for a good read and some comedy, go spying through his page shouts and see what he's said to others. Pretty damn funny. Again, I don't want anyone acting harshly towards this person. Everyone has those days where they get a hair up their ass and wants to go postal on people... Luckily, they're here for our amusement.
Here's a good one.

This is by far the funniest one.

(Bravo, Maelice. Always love your wordthings.)
In the meantime, thank you, sir, for truly making my night. Had a horrible time with people who actually know how to backstab, so it's rather refreshing to see someone utterly fail at the attempt.
Update (again)
Posted 13 years agoMainly just taking down that journal... I was drunk, and I'm a fucking angry drunk, as you can see... Don't mind it.
Though I do thank those who commented as you did... Much to you lot. Means a lot. On a side note, I'm... Better. I'm doing an epic job of keeping my mind distracted with stupid/funny things, but it's not going to help much... Anxiety, and all that. Got something I've got to do in the morning that I will not like... Won't be sleeping until I'm done, but yeh. Better than I was.
Commissions are still on hold at the moment... House is a bit torn apart and a lot of my things are packed away to save room, including my tablet. I'll resume arting once the general chaos of my realm settles down and I'm able to think artistically.
Egoraptor And Bidding to Save a Good Cause...
Posted 13 years agoWhile those of us in the central US have been enjoying some saught-after relief from the record-breaking drought because of the rain caused by Issac, those down further towards the coastlines haven't had so much luck...

If I were to reiterate anything here, it would be somewhat redundant... Check the link, feel the feels, and pop a bid in there for an awesome cause... This is one of those things that doesn't need to disappear.

Update
Posted 13 years agoOkay, sorry for my silence as of late. Things have been very tough on me over here, just on a personal scale, and I haven't had much time for myself lately... Been talking with some people and venting and I feel better now, so moving on. Slowly, but surely. It's keeping me away from the bottle, and that's what counts.
Friendly reminder, I am still open for commissions. Have a character you want to RP? Need to revamp your current design? Have some creature idea you want to see done? I'm all ears... We avian fokkles have some pretty huge ears, really. My prices are set steady, and I don't plan on changing them anytime soon, and here's the list of them all.

A Homeless Friend and (leGASP!) Stolen Art!
Posted 13 years agoMost importantly, please read on about Fredrik here and his problem... It's unfortunate this world is falling into shambles, and I'm seeing the fruits every time I turn around. Please, help if you can.

Also, I'm a bit flattered... Unabashed, shameful pride with a great measure of personal annoyance and all-too-well-known paranoia, but flattered.

Do note, the only roleplaying I do is on Secondlife, so yeah, it seems I've fallen prey to the "I wanna be this guy but I can't do it myself" group of people. lol Flattered... But no. Forum RPers, you should be ashamed. lol
PERMANENT NOTICE UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN EQUALLY BOLD AND NOTICEABLE LETTERS: I do NOT roleplay anywhere but on Secondlife, and with only one account name, and that is Doctor Adagio. Under no circumstances will you find my art/characters/plots ANYWHERE but on this site, under the name Doctor Adagio on Secondlife, or as I meet you face-to-face. As of this moment, unless otherwise stated, these three sources are the ONLY means of finding any of the results of my brain. If any mention/reference/image of my characters and/or the worlds they reside in, fictional or otherwise, appears on a site other than these three given sources, it is not my doing and not by my permission unless explicitly stated. You may NOT use my characters/art/plots in any of your RPs, regardless of how nicely you might ask me. I cannot be more literal than that.
Personally, I think it's funny that I've been bitten by the poser plague... I saw it floating around in various journals, but I didn't think I would actually catch it. XD Anyway...
As you know, my commissions are still open and for very fair prices (hey, RPers! Want an ORIGINAL character? :D) and I highly doubt I will ever close unless I run into some troubles on my end... So feel free to commission me. :3 My commission info is as follows...
