Small Coms Website Update + New Com Type! (COMS ALWAYS OPEN)
Posted 9 years agoAs usual, my commission queue is ALWAYS open! There's no waiting for me to release slots, you can order whenever you're ready and able to pay for one! (They're worked on in order of payment don't forget.)

So I already posted a pic about the new com type, but I thought I'd write it here too for anyone who pays more attention to journals than submissions (who does that? who are you? why? xD).
I now offer Dakimakura art!
These commissions are ONLY for the art. There is no printing or physical pillowcase included.
You get the Low Res RGB for posting online, and a High Res CMYK for getting printed if you chose to.
If you allow me to sell the print design to everyone via inkedfur then you'll be able to purchase the pillowcase through them instead of organising your own printing (which may be difficult as many places only allow bulk orders and no single case orders, so this saves you a little stress I think.)
So that commission type has been added to the pricing page and to the order form!
I've also done a small update to other parts of the website.
- ✮ An addition to the 'yes/no' list under 'prohibited in all art'.
- ✮ Removed the Patreon discount from the prices page as I no longer use Patreon.
- ✮ Increased the price of chibi/headshot badges.
- ✮ Changed one of the speedpaint videos on the gallery page.
- ✮ Will be updating the rest of the gallery page with more recent art and deleting some old art from it later today.

Though I don't celebrate it myself (bein wiccan and all, already did my celebrating of Yule (the solstice) on the 21st), my family do and it's good to spend time with them. so i'm gonna be doing all that jazz for the next couple of days. i might draw some personal stuff but no com/ych work will be done.
I'll also be away from 30th dec to 3rd jan cause i'm spending new years with my bff at their place and wont have my PC.

and to those not celebrating anything, have some nice chill time while everyone is going nuts over their holidays <3

Posted 9 years agoSo, I've closed my patreon.
I felt like I wasn't able to give as much content as I would have liked to it due to most of my art having to be commissions and having little time for personal work (besides occasional fan art done for stress relief.)
I just felt like I wasn't giving my two pledgers enough despite them never complaining and it was kinda piling on the stress. I'm very thankful for all their support though!
maybe i'll restart it in the future.
though i will be starting one for another project that I've mentioned a few journals back, it'll take a little as I have to have free time to start that project first and get the basic content done.

Upcoming comic project!

I'm currently working with
killedbycuriosity, who is writing for the project, to produce a comic! Curio's writing is lovely and I'm excited to be working with him.
I'm aiming to get the first chapter (or at least the first few pages of it) done before the end of the year, featuring a well known and loved snep ;P
The comic will be ADULT RATED.
After we have some content made, we'll be setting up a patreon to help fund the comic's creation.
The comic itself will be free to access, there will be no pay wall for the actual pages.
Some of the rewards will be cameos in the comic, and perhaps even a starring role or two ;).
Other rewards will include sketches, character designs/profiles, the chance to vote on which characters to include and on some themes, and other work done for the comic.
Goals will include creation of a physical book, which pledges of a certain amount will get a copy of as part of their reward, merch, and maybe down the line, a game and an art book featuring art of other artists ;0
The money pledged will be used to pay a basic wage to me and Curio, and to pay anyone else we involve in the future (eg for the art book and game).
Am I ambitious? You bet your ass I am. I aint a Slytherin for no reason, my friends.
We'll also be auctioning off starring roles in the comic.

Please remember that notes are mainly for questions or non com related stuff and that any commission orders made through them can't be accepted.
to get a commission from me you MUST fill out and submit the form here: http://masacomms.weebly.com/order.html
why? there's a few reasons:
1) the form asks for all the info I need to complete the commission.
2) it keeps all the info in one place so nothing gets lost or missed if it's spread over several notes. and makes sure i can access it even if FA is down.
3) it keeps your personal information SAFE. After that last hack to FA I don't want to risk peoples personal info. It's only held on the website that hosts the form until the commission is completed.
4) the order form contains my ToS which you have to agree to and sign, this makes my ToS legally binding and outlines what you can expect from me in the process of getting a commission. and covers both our asses should any legal issues arise (not that I expect them to but they have in the past).
5) the site the form is stored on allows me to download it as a PDF for my records, which i store on my PC for 7 years after the com is completed (as required by UK law). and allows me to access the order form and continue work even if the internet isn't working.
so if i point you to the form when you've given me com info, please don't take it to mean anything bad. i just need it in the form instead. it's better and more reliable for all of us.

The biggest difference to commissions is that I am now ALWAYS OPEN for new commissions. the only time I wont be is when I feel I need to take a break.
The only thing limiting you if how long you wish to wait for commissions based on my current queue
Commission Types:
I no longer offer painted commissions. they got little interest and when I did do them i found I didn't enjoy them as much as I thought. So they'll now only be available through YCH auctions.
I now offer headshots! (this covers drawings where only the head or up to the shoulders are visible. anything below that goes into half body)
I also do headshot badges now as well as chibi badges. and I still offer terrarium badges. (all badge prices include shipping costs)
Extras:
So far the only extra is close up shots! Close up shots cost +30% of the normal commission price to cover the time it takes to draw them.
Discounts:
I've added some discounts that will ALWAYS apply. They're not a one time thing.
Chibis are 20% off regular commission prices.
and Tauoni or Cervitsune specie characters are also 20% regular prices.
plus the usual 20% off commissions for $20+ patreon supporters
Complications Charges:
Complication charges apply when a character, background or prop have significant details that will drastically increase the time it takes to draw them. eg complicated markings, intricate tattoos, buildings, vehicles, a lot of water, ect.
Complicated Character +10%
Complicated BG +20%
Complicated Prop +10%
other than that, the only change to the comms website is layout based.

Because I'm sick of paying customs fees for a damn t-shirt, when the customs + handling come to the same price of the t-shirt.
I'm looking for something that you don't have to buy wholesale from, that print per item on order demand. Because I don't get enough interest to do pre-orders so i can buy bulk.
And especially anywhere that does all over print t-shirts?
and is a similar or better quality. + hosts the shop and handles order fulfilment?
I'd still keep both my stores on those sites, but having a store for EU customers to buy from so they dont have to pay those stupid customs fees for a freaking t-shirt would be A++. plus shipping would be cheaper and faster.

Coming out day & TMI TUESDAY

And despite knowing everyone (or at least most) ppl here already know this or at least parts of it, I'm still nervous writing it out haha.
I'm a trans guy. Though my gender presentation is pretty fluid sometimes. And I like being a cute/pretty boy. I don't much care for being overly masculine. I only use He/Him/His pronouns. But I dont mind people using They/Them for me.
I'm pansexual, though I have a preference for guys, I know I have the potential to be attracted to any gender, and gender isn't really a deciding factor in me being attracted to someone. (just seems to happen more with guys of any kind, be they cis, trans, ect.).
As for relationships, I'm grey-romantic, and would be open to polyamorous relationships in the case where I do find myself romantically attracted. I don't really know what makes me romantically attracted to someone, but it's extremely rare and I rarely see the point in romantic relationships at all (for me that is). And even when I am romantically attracted to someone, I often don't want it returned or anything. (though I will admit to currently kinda wanting my current romantic attraction to be returned. bleh.)
Also because it's also Tmi tuesday (though i'm a bit late opps), if you have any questions about anything to do with being trans, pansexual, grey-romanitc, even if they're a bit intrusive, I'll do my best to answer them.
And despite knowing everyone (or at least most) ppl here already know this or at least parts of it, I'm still nervous writing it out haha.
I'm a trans guy. Though my gender presentation is pretty fluid sometimes. And I like being a cute/pretty boy. I don't much care for being overly masculine. I only use He/Him/His pronouns. But I dont mind people using They/Them for me.
I'm pansexual, though I have a preference for guys, I know I have the potential to be attracted to any gender, and gender isn't really a deciding factor in me being attracted to someone. (just seems to happen more with guys of any kind, be they cis, trans, ect.).
As for relationships, I'm grey-romantic, and would be open to polyamorous relationships in the case where I do find myself romantically attracted. Posted 9 years agoI've come to realise lately that I've been feeling this weird mix of being totally content with the professional part of my life, so happy at getting to do art for a living, but my personal life is a total mess and as a person I don't feel as good about myself as a person as i did at the start of the year.
Since coming out as trans, i've done a lot of introspection. And a lot of things still confuse me to the point I just don't want to think about them anymore. like my sexuality. or my inner views on romance in relation to myself.
I'm very firm in my knowlege of who I am in respects to gender but sexuality and romance feel so fluid to me and my views on them change so constantly that I've just given up trying to label them and fully understand those things about myself. Maybe it'll happen sometime, maybe one day it'll just click and everything will fall into place, like my gender did. I just makes me so annoyed at myself that I feel so damn unattractive all the time and like no one I'm attracted to will ever find me attractive because I'm chubby and i'm into guys mainly but i'm always worried guys either wont wanna be with me or treat me like a guy in a sexual situation cause they'd be faced with tits and a vagina.
And with my gender... I firmly know I'm a guy. but my expression of that, being outside whats considered the norm, especially for trans guys, makes me feel so insecure to the point that I'm terrified to start transitioning medically, because I'm scared I wont be taken seriously because I don't fit the norm of wanting to be like a stereotypical guy. Even though I know there are plenty of cis guys I know who are just as non-standard as me in the same ways. mainly with self presentation.
I wanna enjoy myself and keep wearing things I love and things but every time I put on something like Fairy Kei, and look at myself, I think "look at you, you look so dumb and no one is going to take you seriously as a guy. Yeh you should just ignore that cause it doesn't matter but you're probably gonna be too much of a coward to ask to get refereed to a GIC any time soon, and dressing like this before you medically transition is just gonna make people think you're not serious about your gender." And it's gotten to the point where I rarely go out at all and just the thought of leaving the house makes me so sick with anxiety that I can't do anything. And that in turn makes me feel even worse about myself. and it's just becoming a bit of a vicious cycle of negative emotions.
Buh... I'm rambling... I rarely talk or write anything at all about how I feel because I never know how to word it and always think I make no sense and just get really worked up and my brain is constantly telling me no one cares no one wants to hear it or they'll think I'm fishing for attention because hey if it was just a need to get it out when I could just write it somewhere no one would see. And it feels like if i share my feelings I'm opening myself up to attack. by talking about being trans and related issues I feel like I'm going to be attacked by transphobic people or something. Maybe I'm just over cautious. but idk maybe I just want validation and comfort that what I think about myself isn't true.
aaand I'm probably going to delete this later. but hey at least I did something for once I usually give up half way through writing and delete everything lol.
