Respect is a two way street artists; if you dont have time to make new friends thats fine, but BE HONEST ABOUT IT.
DO NOT just start avoiding someone cold turkey, and presume they will just forget. Thats insulting to yourself and them.
If you dont like someone, at least tell them why instead of just saying 'because I just do'.

Posted 13 years agoI am noticing more and more artists going to 'auction only' for commission slots. Not even with one of their characters or a TCBY, this isis just to have art done by them.
I know that these are hard economic times, and we are all trying to get some extra cash; but auctioning off commission slots just seems a tad bit pretentious.
This is just my opinion though on the matter, throwing my two cents in for those who will listen.

Mass Effect 3 Ending Revisited SPOLIER ALERT SPOILER ALERT

There with that out of the way, if what I read spoils the ending for you it is your own damned fault.
I may amend this later as I am on a smartphone and it doesn have the best editing abilities.
The Catalyst said the Reapers were a solution to the problem of Chaos.
Chaos is when things run amok, run unchecked and everything behaves unpredictably. It said that in the chaos organics would create synthetics, the synthetics would eventually rebel. The example of this is what happened with the Quarians and Geth. Now imagine if EVERY sapient species had that happen. Humans, Asari, Turians, Salarians etc. Not a very nice existence for organics to be drifting around space for centuries.
Also organics behave irrationally; the Genophage is evidence of that. The Krogan were subdued because the rest of the galaxy was in peril. Chaos brings misery and suffering eventually.
The Catalyst's solution was to perform a controlled and precise culling, pruning...reaping if you will via the Reapers. They come in every 50,000 years and eradicate advanced life for new races and civilizations to have a chance to grow and flourish that the other races might not have gotten if they weren't removed from the galaxy.
Also all the older species were utilized to create the Reapers as cybernetic (synthetic and organic) lifeforms, thus the reapers are the proof the others species exist. Also it is indicated if the reapers just wanted to they could selterilize the entire galaxy of organics if they wanted, but they weren't.
Harbinger and the Reapers goal was to preserve the balance of order and control of existence, so that everything is allowed to exist for 50,000 years before the galaxy becomes chaotic. Its like euthanasia; put the suffering to rest so that others can take their place. It is the cruel calculus, but logical and consistent as well.

An Epiphony...sort of
Posted 14 years agoIt has been so long since I have been able to relax and be happy I think I have forgotten how. Anyone care to help?
EDIT: I am not going to delete this but I am going to elaborate more. It has been a long time since I have felt happy and it felt almost alien, most of the time I worry how I am going to survive ans pay my bills, deal with asshole roommates who change the rules regarding rent when it suits them; trying ti appease management at work who guns for me all the time and denies every attempt ti get back ti full time status.
And I almost forgot that tonight when someone got me a very thoughtful gift. Ans I turned around and let the downers get the offer better of me. I am sorry my friend, I never meant to hurt your feelings.
What I should've said was this:
It has been so long since I felt happy I almost forgot how. I hope someone will bear with me as I overcome this sensation and help me feel happy more and more.
