Anthrocon Report
Posted 7 years agoHey there all you fantastic folks.
I do wish to apologize for not updating this sooner; however, as some of you folks may know already, I recently bought a house that has been taking up a ton of my time with cleaning, moving, and purchasing some new furniture. As such I had to wait until I got some free time to go ahead and post this up for your reading pleasures.
I was on vacation from July 1, 2018, through July 11, 2018. My dad and I took the trip together in car rather than on an airplane. Here’s a summary as to what transpired during that time.
Day 1: July 1, 2018
On the drive up to Pennsylvania, we went ahead and stopped at the Fantastic Caverns in Missouri as we always drove by there during our trips up to Pennsylvania. It was quite the fantastic expedition as it was so cool down there in both temperature and rock formation there.
After the Fantastic Caverns, we made it to St. Louis and stopped on the good side for the night.
Day 2: July 2, 2018
The night before, I bought the tickets to go up into the Arch. That morning, we went to the actual Arch. I took a ton of photographs of the Arch itself, me touching the Arch, the new museum underneath it, the courthouse, and so much more. My dad and I even went up into the Arch; however, and I’m not proud to admit it, I got super sick up there. It turns out that, while it does withstand about 150 miles per hour wind, a slight breeze does make it shake. So I got a little motion sickness up there. After that, we went to the Old Spaghetti Factory and ate.
We made it to somewhere in Indiana.
Day 3: July 3, 2018
The drive was relatively uneventful that day. We stopped in the Heart of Ohio Antique store and bought a few things here and there. We actually made it to Pennsylvania that day ahead of schedule. We had dinner with the only aunt that we still talk to.
Day 4: July 4, 2018
I actually planned this out and wanted to get here on this day as I knew this would be the day to do all the stuff that we wanted. The first place we went to was the old Hot Dog Shoppe for some delicious hotdogs for breakfast. After that, we went to the Aviary to explore the zoo and buy some nice goodies. Man…the birds were simply amazing, especially the penguins when we actually fed them for 30 minutes. After that, I went on both Inclines. For those unaware, the Incline was an old pulley train like system used back in the old days. I spent a ton of time with my aunt again and then head back to Maples for a nice, warm, and tasty signature roast beef sandwich. I followed that buy a delicious cluster ice cream from Hanks. It really changed, especially with the new, paved parking lot. Same great tasting ice cream though. The fireworks were amazing too.
Day 5: July 5, 2018
This was the first day of the convention; however, this was also pretty much the badge pick up day. So before I did that, I wanted to go ahead and take a detour to a graveyard. I haven’t been up to Pennsylvania for well over a decade and wanted to pay my respects to my grandma and grandpa. I talked to them for over an hour.
Getting the badge for Anthrocon was relatively easy if you signed up for it in advance unlike the 1,000 people waiting in line. XD
Day 6 through Day 8: July 6, 2018 through July 8, 2018
HOLY CRAP! Anthrocon was freaking amazing! I had such a blast hanging around Mastergodai, Chalo, Nekonny, and Tom Fischbach. That’s just a few to name as I also met up with Libra-11, Jaeh the Bird, Max the Rabbit, Liz, ShoNUFF44, N8Dogg5k, and Dreamkeepers. I also had a blast taking so many pictures of fur suits. Seriously, these outfits were much better than all the anime conventions I’ve been to in the past decade. I went to dance competitions, video tapped the parade for over an hour and a half, chatted with Slaughts and Mislakane, met up with Bone and his mom, saw those two creepy guys and so much more. Seriously, Anthrocon had to be the best con ever.
The panels were the only thing I didn’t like as three of the five I went to were cancelled and the other two were cut in half due to overscheduling.
I had so many hot dogs that it’s not even funny in addition to ice cream. I spent a ton of time with my aunt.
Day 9 through Day 11: July 9,2018 through July 11, 2018
We left Pennsylvania Monday morning after buying $100 worth of pepperoni and cheese popcorn. The first day was pretty much just driving to St. Louis. The next day, we tried to take the helicopter ride around St. Louis; however, it was cancelled due to helicopter failure. Instead, we stopped at the Meramec Caverns. The last day was nothing but driving and heading home.
Breakout of Expenses:
Money Spent at the convention $1,458.89
Money spent on Food 558.71
Money Spent on Hotel Rooms 1,249.58
Money spent on Entertainment 789.58
Total Expense $4,056.86

Update of Updates 062018
Posted 7 years agoHey there folks!
Man…it has been awhile since I’ve updated this journal. It’s no surprise to me on my end as I have been super busy these last few…two months it seems. XD
No but seriously, there has been a ton of stuff going down on my end. The top five, at the moment would have to be…
1) Buying a house! That’s right. I bought my own place and plan on moving in shortly. In fact, I’ll be closing in on it this Friday.
2) I’m going to Anthrocon. A couple of my good friends in real life and online are heading on up there. Instead of going to Florida, I thought I’d go ahead and swing up there instead. Plus, thanks to a buddy driving with me, it won’t be too lonely.
3) Tax season is over, and with that, a new raise.
4) My social media managing business and consulting services are growing at a steady pace of up to five paying clients per month.
5) I got a new iPhone 8!
My bad for not posting as of late, but sadly, I have no more commissions or work coming in at the moment. Once Anthrocon is over with, I’ll be taking on more. Additionally, because of the house, I’ve pretty much cut back on all commission spending until my secondary sources of income start picking on up.
=========================
Salutations all you incredibly fine folks and folketts out there!
I really need to get back to updating these journals as they’re killing me. I’m afraid I do have quite a bit to say, but for the most part, I’ve been kind of quite as life has been super busy with family, friends, work, and a new proposal that I’m about to share…

12.22.17 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
Posted 7 years agoYeah…not going to lie, but I think I might have epically failed at updating this Journal every single day as I promised at the first of the year. I have no real excuse outside of the whole life has been busy in and out of the CPA field.
Seriously, I’m not evening kidding about the previous paragraph. Outside of a coworker being terminated near the first of the year and inheriting all her work, I’ve been pretty busy this tax year with a ton of new client work. Additionally, thanks to a significant raise, I had to work twice as hard just to keep up appearances for a new raise this year.
Outside of work, it has been pretty hectic on all fronts. From an investment standpoint, most of the stocks I’ve been getting into have tanked. Fortunately, I’m cashing out any dividends and capital gains I can get my hands on, especially on mutual funds as those have surprisingly gone up. From an art perspective, I’ve been doing some more flat commissions that have surprisingly picked up thanks to my fans out there. Seriously, thank you so much. From a real life perspective, I’ve been volunteering more in my community from the soup kitchen to the theater to the Pokemon Go Discord Channel to home improvements and so much more. Still haven’t found the lucky girl yet, but there is always next year. In fact, next year, I plan on moving to a superb closer to family and friends.
But for now, I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Happy 30th Birthday
Posted 8 years agoI'm taking the day off to enjoy the big 30. See you all tomorrow.
103017 Another Journal Update & Happy Halloween
Posted 8 years agoYeah, sorry folks for not updating this Journal on a daily basis like I promised, but sometimes life gets in the way. I will say it has been quite the busy year as of late due in part to tax season. I’ve also been quite busy with going to Church, hanging out with friends and family, and doing a ton of social media managing for quite a few people. I should really do a better job of updating this, but that’s for another day. For now…
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

060617 MegaCon Summary
Posted 8 years agoDuring my trip, I stopped across multiple small towns and ate at quite a few restaurants. Here are some of those pics from my trip to Florida. I ate at some familiar fast food changes on the way to Florida, including Waffle House and McDonalds. I will say that there were several small towns hitting on hard times.
As per our tradition, we made a stop at Duck Dynasty to take a tour of the warehouse to get a free hat, free duck call, and a free figurine. This is a $55 value for $20 only. It’s also an opportunity to see what changes occur. They’re adding in a virtual reality experience there.
Instead of heading directly there to Orlando, Florida, me and my dad made a slight detour to the Battleship Park in Mobile, Alabama. We both went into the gift shop, the airplane hangar, the submarine, and the USS Alabama. It was a blast exploring so much history and taking these sweet pictures.
Our deter continued with a trip to the National Naval Aviation Museum at Pensacola. I had no idea it was even there. We both had a blast taking hilarious images on the Nixon helicopter. I also took a ton of pictures of all the planes…all the freaking planes there!
Thanks to an old timer, we learned about the tallest lighthouse in the USA and decided to climb it. It’s a museum with a ton of history to it, including a wooden statute that’s supposed to guard it or something.
After a slight trip to my grandparents’ house to spend the night and hang out with them as I hardly sees them, we finally arrived at the La Quinta in Orlando, Florida that was literally walking distance of the convention itself.
MegaCon itself was rather…lack lustering in some areas. Don’t get me wrong; I had a blast hanging out with some familiar peeps, chatting it up with some of the comic artists, artist alley peeps, and dealers, in addition to meeting some celebrities such as Gabel from </Scorpion>. But this MegaCon just felt like it was too much of a craft show more so than anything else. Additionally, the prices were outrageously high. Seriously, I paid $120 for a four day pass and only got a wrist band…A FREAKING WRIST BAND!?!?
And last but not least is the cosplay! And I have to say that there were some pretty epic ones this time around. Seriously, just take a look at all the Overwatch, a very popular one at that I might say. That’s in addition to Wonder Woman, my personal favorite.
I almost forgot all the sweet stuff I bought this year. Special thanks to

041917: Tax Season is Over
Posted 8 years agoThat's right folks! Tax Season is finally over. I can now go ahead and get back to work on updating all my galleries, working in on comics, and helping some of my close friends while working on my personal life to. Stay tuned for some great works!
Texas Furry Fiesta Journey
Posted 8 years agoHey there folks!
My bad for the massive absence here in these journals, but tax season is ripping me a new one, both metaphorically and quite literally. But I thought I’d take a moment to tell you what happened on 03/26/17, the last day of Furry Fiesta.
Due to tax season, I wasn’t able to attend all four days; however, I still wanted to go to at least the Sunday one and grab some sweet deals. So I hit the road at 7:00 AM and drove nonstop to Dallas, stopping at the local Grandy’s for their legendary breakfast buffet. As for dinner, I decided to go to my favorite restaurant, Spaghetti Warehouse. My bad for the Fossil watch image there, but I’m also using these images for my Instagram account, https://www.instagram.com/themramp/ .
I arrived at the Dallas Inter Continental around 9:35 AM CST and decided to explore Artist Alley and the Vendor Rooms. I met up with Skidd and Phuufy in the First Floor Dealer’s room. Chatted with them for a bit and bought some sweet merchandise from them before heading upstairs to the Artist Alley and Vendor’s Room. That was one item I would like to note that was pretty weird…two dealer rooms. I also had the pleasure of meeting SteelDragonFist from the Picarto streams and Lann from FurAffinity. I even had the pleasure to meet @Boneitis’s good friend, FeretStudios (https://twitter.com/FeretStudios). I also had the opportunity to chat it up with Miu, the creator of the Ask Jam series and saga. I did buy a few prints here and there, but I mostly ordered commissions.
I didn’t actually attend a single panel this year around. There were a couple of writing ones I wanted to attend, but I missed them as I was completely blown away with the sweet fursuits. Seriously, I’m a fan of cosplay in general, but I have never seen such intricate designs, details, and patterns in cosplays. I had the opportunity to chat with quite a few of them and was shocked to learn that some of these took several hours and hundreds upon hundreds of dollars. I will say that they were rather playful with their mannerisms and quite open with their hugs. So here are a few of my images.
And here are some additional images. I was switching between Photo and Square.
And as always, here are some pictures of some of the sweet merchandise I bought at the convention. I will say that I did buy quite a bit in UberQuest and some art books from Miu, not to mention some con exclusive prints from a couple of unique artists. As for expenses…
Convention Ticket…….$ 30.00
Meals……………………… 47.22
Books and Prints…… 160.55
Gas……………………… 42.23
Commissions…….. 80.00
Total………………… $ 360.00
=========
Overall, this was a pretty cool con to go to for one day. I wish I could have gone for all three days, but my work won’t allow me to take the time off due to tax season. If you folks could, I seriously suggest heading to a furry con as it’s quite the experience.
And one last thing before I sign out for you fine folks. Skidd and Phuffy had a life size cut out of Sesame from UberQuest. She’s only 5 feet tall. Even in the real world, she’s smaller than most people. XD

02/19/17: Audits
Posted 8 years agoOkay, I know it has been awhile since I’ve updated the journal, and there is a reason for that. Normally, when I have some down time at work, I have time to sit down and actually write up Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr posts in advance in addition to my journal entries. Sadly, I’m working on HUD Audits. For those that don’t know, these HUD Audits take about two to three days of 40 units (or 15 minutes per unit) to perform uninterrupted. So…literally no time to do anything else.
02/01/17: A Break
Posted 8 years agoSometimes, we all need a break. That’s why I took yesterday off from the internet. That…and I’m on the computer quite a bit at work and it looked like I was getting some kind of pink eye from straining my eyes due to the computer monitor.
01/31/17: Twitter Updating
Posted 8 years agoHey there all you cool happening folks. Thanks to some sweet research, I found a killer app that allows me to go ahead and schedule my Tweets on Twitter in advance. Granted I can’t tag anyone in the photos I upload, I can finally schedule these ones instead of having to be online at work. For those that don’t, you can follow my anime/humor/political Twitter at…

01/30/2017: One Month Down. 2.5 Left to Go…
Posted 8 years agoWith January here and almost gone, that means I only have February, March, and half of April to go before tax season ends. I will say that I’m kind of looking forward to it. But while I do have some down time, I’m currently looking for potential employment opportunities elsewhere just in case. After all, money is important to life to some extent anyway, and I would like to be paid what I’m worth.
01/29/17 Tax Returns Today
Posted 8 years agoToday, I’m going to go ahead and do my brother’s tax return because he was too stupid to not save and get it paid for by the end of this month and my folk’s tax return because they’re nagging me about it.
01/28/17: Pushing On
Posted 8 years agoSometimes life isn’t easy. There’s always this or that or even some of this going on that you would like to do, but you also have some of these, over there, and come on to take care of too. I get it. It’s rough. What you have to do is simply push on through it. If you simply whine and don’t do anything about it, you aren’t really going to fix your life. You’ll simply be in the same spot doing the same thing over and over and over again.
01/27/17: Music, Art, Pancakes oh my!
Posted 8 years agoJust to let you all know, I did three fun filled activities this week. I first went to a music concert for an hour. It was quite nice; but I had to jet as I had to be at work the next morning and wanted to catch some sleep. I then went to an art gallery today and was amazed with all the ceramic art pieces there that the students at a local college created for our viewing pleasure. Finally, I plan on going to a pancake feed for a local charity before heading to work. I’ll be up at 6:00 AM. HURRAH! :( XD :)
01/26/17: Backups
Posted 8 years agoFolks, one of my former employees decided to delete our server today, and they were quite successful as they were caught in the finishing part of it. The police were called and she was arrested. Did that stop my workflow? Did that destroy my employers?
NO!
You know why?
Because they have a backup of the entire server that is updated each day.
You see folks, it’s important to have a backup of everything, and I do mean everything just in case life hits the fan.

01/25/17: Clean Bill of Health
Posted 8 years agoI AM TOTALLY EXCITED!!!
My dog that I rescued from my brother after he finally grew up and realized he couldn’t take care of him properly received a clean bill of health from the vets. In all honesty, I was afraid that I would have to put him down since he hasn’t gone to the vets in over two years.
01/23/17: Technology
Posted 8 years agoYou know what? I hate being that guy, but is it just me or do the elderly not know how to use technology that well? Before you complain, please read below.
While I was helping the folks take care of adopting my brother’s dog (I’ll go into that next post), my mother was having issues with her phone. There was a rotating circle on her iPhone 5 next to her battery. I looked it up online, confirmed my suspicion, and updated her phone. The rotating circle went away. So can someone explain to me why she couldn’t look it up on Google or some other search engine?
01/22/17: Semi-Back
Posted 8 years agoHey folks. Sorry for being MIA these last two day, but let’s just say quite a bit has been happening on my end. Well, not really. Rather, it was just one massive thing.
After waiting for a week, my folks finally adopted the dog that my brother neglected, almost abused with lack of attention, for the last few years. He’s at my folk’s house now. I must say, it’s really sad. The poor dog is malnourished, hasn’t been to the vets in at least one to two years, hasn’t been groomed for one to two years minimum, covered and patted in dirt and grease, and I can go on. He went to the groomers today, and he’ll be going to the vets Monday. In all honesty, I don’t think he’ll be alive that long as he may have heart worms. If anything, at least we’ll be giving him a better final days than what he had.
01/19/17: Too Professional
Posted 8 years agoIt’s rant day, at least that’s what I’m calling it. And I have a good one today too.
I recently received an email saying that my email was too professional. I wasn’t offended or anything. In all honesty, I laughed for a good 5 minutes. I never responded back to the guy as I kind of decided to not take him on as a client because of that email. I mean seriously, I was offering a serious proposal here. I mean what was I supposed to do? Say something like this.
What is up dawg? This is Mr. AMP from the east side ida with my 401K and my MBA mother tucker!
I’m just dropping by to thank you for showcasing my shorty and to throw down some FYI that you might dig about social media pimping like a boss on your behalf. In exchange for representing you on the social hood, I’d like some points to get some free kicks on the down low. Hit me up if you’d be chilling with this sweet proposal.
If…If I were to be serious when I said that above paragraph, I’m vaguely certain I would be slapped in the face. All I’m saying is that there is no such thing as being too professional.
01/18/17: Hashtagging and Keyword Searches
Posted 8 years agoHey there all you cool happening folks. While randomly exploring Twitter, it occurred to me that I should ask a quick question as I’m curious to know something for research purposes.
Whenever you’re online, what hashtags or keywords do you normalize use to search for various stuff online? For that matter, what hashtags or keywords do you or have used to find your favorite art pieces and your favorite other related stuff? Also, does it matter what site you use, such as DeviantArt, FurAffinity, Twitter, and Tumblr?
If you feel like giving me a list, then go ahead and comment down belong and give me as much detail as you possibly can.
01/17/17: Mutual Respect
Posted 8 years agoOkay, this has to be said because I’m getting quite tired of having to hold this in. My apologies in advance for the rant.
There is this bookkeeper I know that does work for a CPA that are not related to my office. The bookkeeper always does work for the CPA and have gotten along for what I assume are years. The CPA told me that the bookkeeper has been pressuring her to do her tax returns free of charge as she has been working for her for years. The CPA finally did the bookkeeper’s tax return, which shows a huge tax owed. On the next client, the bookkeeper told the CPA that this client information was too huge to go through.
Here’s the point I’m trying to make. There has to be some mutual respect between the professions here. If you’re a bookkeeper having a CPA do your tax returns free of charge, don’t get mad at them and simply act unprofessional simply because you owe some money to the government. This applies to all fields really. For example, let’s take the artist and writer scenario. Writers should respect the artist’s thoughts and ideas instead of forcing his/her agenda down the artist’s throats on top of demanding free artwork. Artists in turn should stand up to their ideals while still showing some gratitude for their writer. If things go sour, then there needs to be a cool down between the two.
Essentially, there needs to be mutual respect and mutual appreciation towards both parties.
01/16/17: Getting Ahead
Posted 8 years agoWell, while I was at work today, I took a gander at my images that I have set up for both Instagram and DA/FA and couldn’t help but notice that I have two weeks’ worth of material for each one. I must say that I’m rather impressed given the circumstances of my work. That’s the beauty of some occasional down time. That way, when one isn’t working on anything important, that person can get caught up with and generate that much more stuff in the future.
Also, a my bad if anyone is getting kind of tired of the
