That's right. I've finally gotten all my work onto my new FA account,  twelve. This account is now officially dead! I hope you will follow me at my new digs! There's already a lot of stuff here, new and old (mostly old), that has not been published here.

So as some of you may know, I've been working on changing my fursona. Because of the way FA is built, FA has been most difficult for me to change. I had to get the staff to give me access to an account that was abandoned (which they eventually gave me), and I literally have to start over, unlike Weasyl and Inkbunny, which are built in such a way that the staff can simply change my name for me, Then there's SoFurry, which allows me to change my name at whim (but I haven't yet because a barely active guy has it and Toumal (rightfully) won't just give it to me).

Anyway, FA's change has been the hardest, and I am reluctant to leave this account, but after all I've gone through to get it, this is GOING to happen. I am in the process of migrating everything over to the new account.

When I say everything, I mean all my old stuff from before my FA days on my very first FA account, all the stories and commissions from this account, and anything else I can find that I haven't published before. Except maybe my attempt at art like a decade ago. Those may be able to safely burn.

Anyway, I would appreciate it if you guys would follow me on my new account. It will take some time (particularly now as I sprint stagger crawl toward the finish line of my college career), but eventually I will get everything over there and the world will be right again.

As you can see, I have survived, and so I hope to begin writing again. I do other types of writing now, which I hope to keep separate, but I hope to start with some commissions that I owe some very patient and awesome people. :3

Yep, I got it! I pre-ordered it back in June. PlayStation seems to be more of an ecosystem than a console right now, so add me! I'm LupeOneLeo there (I wish I could change it).

It's been a very... something couple of months. Back in October I got an iPhone 5s (more out of necessity than desire, and after selling my old phone for 200 bucks). This month I got a 27-inch iMac (dire necessity, old computer wasn't cutting it and I needed it for college, had to stretch my student loan to do it) and now a PS4 (pre-ordered back in June when I was working full time and actually had a little bit of money).

All that, yet I can't even afford a tank of gas. I'm friggin broke. I had to sell two of my PS3 controllers and use a coupon just to get a game for my PS4. All I can say is God is good, and I'm going to have to work to deserve it and put it to good use.

In the meantime, Killzone: Shadow Fall... pew, pew....

For the first time ever, I, Lukos, am opening slots for story commissions! \o/

I've never done this before, but I've taken two small commissions, and a request, and a gift, just to try it out. The request and gift are done (gift has not yet been posted). One commission was completed but has not yet been posted (will post it soon). The other has not been started yet, (waiting on details) so just consider one slot taken.

Really, I've always wanted to do commissions, but I have a big reason for doing it now. College is quickly coming back upon me, and I really need some extra cash to send to my school bill. Really, at this moment, you can consider this to be donations to a college student's bill with the reward of a free story, lol. As such, I would really, REALLY appreciate it if you would spread this around, even if you don't want a commission slot.

Anyway, what I've decided to do primarily for this, especially since I'm an "official commission" virgin, is offer one kind of slot, with the option to expand upon it.

The main thing I'm offering is 2500-3000 word stories for just fifteen dollars. If a little extra is required to tell the story well, I will add to it with your permission and upon my own discretion, AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. They can be pure plot, backstory + yiff scene, or if you prefer, just plain yiff scene. You may choose up to two characters of any gender, but if you have a really good idea I'm open to doing more. I'm open to kinks, but please, no scat, watersports, extreme violence, blood, etc. If I'm truly uncomfortable writing your kink into the story, I'll let you know. I reserve the right to refuse to do a commission for any reason, but the biggest reason I'd probably refuse one is if it consists of something I am truly uncomfortable writing about.

If you would like your story to be LONGER than 3,000 words, then please let me know before hand. The extra charge will be just 10 dollars per 1,000 words extra. A 3,500-4,000 word story would cost 25 dollars, a 4,500-5,000 word story would cost 35 dollars, and so on.

I will try my best do write commissions in the order in which I receive them. Should anything jeopardize that (e.g. writer's block), I'll let you know immediately.

for all the drama since last night. If you meet me, I'm like the happiest, most positive guy ever, but I also don't like taking crap from people, or seeing people bullied about like U18chan has been doing to  Jaleo. Sadly that isn't solved, and probably won't be, but I do intend to spread the word about how U18chan's administrator treats artists. Hey, if you guys have some art to post somewhere, I totally recommend Fchan. They've been around far longer than U18chan, they're very popular, and they respect artists' wishes when they don't want their for-sale work given out for free. Or at the very least, they don't cuss them out for it.

As for this, the admin of U18chan is apparently going to sticky the thread in question. I'm guessing he wants to try to make me public enemy #1 over there, but that's okay. If I can, I'll always stick up for people when I feel I need to or speak my mind when I need to. Some might think that's an asset, others a fault, but really it's just me, it's just how I am, and I'm not sorry for it.

Nobody is stealing it you stupid prat, not one of his images have been posted. The thread is not being removed, but will eventually fall off the /rs/ board after a while unless the images are posted. The art is bad enough that most likely nobody will post it, so stop getting mad over a nonissue.

Reply from an Admin over at U18chan, who happened to reply to my previous journal with a link to the thread. Recognized his name (if you can call anon123-something a name) so I took a look.

Oooof course. Dickwads like that--and an admin of the site, no less--with lame claims like "Oh well it was just the advertisement that was posted and not the actual pictures."

Had he an IQ higher than that of a bean burrito he would have read the parts that said I was upset about how he and the other "stupid prats" that infect that site handled a legitimate artist's simple request not to share his work.

An ADMIN behaves like this? An Administrator. I've been a site administrator before. Which of you would support a site run by an administrator that goes out of his way not to handle the situation appropriately, but goes out of his way to actually INSULT an artist and his work? Which of you would support a site that refuses to stop the possible theft of someone's honest work and behaves like this toward people who try to support him?

From a Mass Communications major (graduating soon! :D) who studies copyrights, let me tell you a little something about copyrights. Jaleo posts work that he creates to a website like FA. Assuming here that he is American, because he created it, he has a copyright over it. A copyright exists from the creation of the work. And yes, according to the description Jaleo himself wrote in http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11058980/, "hundreds" of the images in there are indeed his creations. Because he uploaded the works to FurAffinity, the artwork is also FurAffinity's "Intellectual Property." Say this was a bigger deal. Say this was Jaleo's way of making a living, self-employed through his artwork. Many artists, furry and otherwise, do just that. Despite the fact that other artists' work is included in this art pack, say someone DID post his art pack there, and Jaleo suffered damages because U18chan was giving his work away for free--and so clearly and rudely A: facilitated that theft by refusing to prevent it at his own polite request and B: mocked and slandered him and his artwork. If they could afford it and if they wanted to Jaleo could register his copyright with the government and both he and FA could sue U18chan for not only those damages, but if the circumstances are right, libel.

Obviously it's not that big an issue right now, but in answer to what someone said on that thread, yes. Jaleo does indeed hold the copyright to his own freaking work. *eyeroll* As for the other art, unless he has permission to sell those from the artists that created them (because they hold their own copyrights for that work), then no, he can hold no claim to those.

You know what? Spread this around. I used to like U18chan because I enjoy furry comics and many (free) ones were easily accessible in one place there, but now that I know what runs it? Now that I see how they treat people with simple and completely legitimate requests, how they insult artists looking for nothing but to defend their hard work, how they mock them and anyone who tries to defend them when THEY are the ones both morally and legally in the wrong, I personally think they should be shut. The heck. Down.

I'm familiar with U18chan. I used to visit to enjoy Doujin that people translate into English (from Japanese). And yeah, it's true that people do post much more than that there, taking things that they can understand and could easily purchase (when actually for sale) and posting them for free. Sometimes, those artists catch wind of it and have their stuff removed. Jaleo's case is no different.

He went to U18chan and contacted someone there, asked them not to post his art, and to remove any of his art that was elsewhere on the site. They responded by cussing about him, mocking him, calling him names, because they feel like he can't do anything about their actions, and because by default (and like F-chan), U18chan requires no logins and guests can post anonymously. No one has to see their usernames and be upset at them. It's crap.

This is what I had to say about it:

I mean every word. Sure, you go there, you see things that are good that you probably couldn't access otherwise unless you pay for it, it's intriguing. Wrong, yes, but it happens. But this atrocious response when the artist politely asks people not to steal his stuff? This is the furry community we belong to? Now that I've gotten into writing a little more, and started some stuff beyond normal., I've been toying with the thought of doing commissions. I'm trying hard to clear my college bill so I can go back this coming semester, and after blowing 400 bucks on a PS4 preorder (I REGRET NOTHING!) I could sure use the extra cash. I was thinking of starting with something like 10 bucks for a 2,000-3,000 word short, clean or adult, any two characters. Simple, inexpensive, just to see how it goes. If it goes well I'll probably make a few increasing tiers.

Is this something any of you would be interested in, or does anyone know anyone who might be interested in this?

I'm colossally behind on thanking people for watching me. I know, I know, to many that's unnecessary, but I'm truly grateful that folks out there appreciate my stories and my characters (Hopefully everyone also appreciates the artists who draw my characters enough to give them faves and watches too! ^^)!

I've been excited to continue normal. I have many ideas for it, but not exactly for the part I'm at now. I'm a little... well, stuck. I don't expect the writer's block to last for long, and in an effort to keep myself sharp I've started doing a few one-shots. I'm learning from them, and I'm working on keeping things concise enough to do some real shorts soon.

It's been quite awhile!

College has a way of draining the extracurricular inspiration from ya. In fact, I've barely been on FA or Weasyl at all over the past few weeks. My creativity and motivation to do much of anything has been rather low. My FA submission update list got into the two-thousands.

I hate the feeling of having a million things to do and not having the willpower to do any of them.

HOWEVER, it's coming back now. I feel myself returning to normal, and I'm feeling motivated to do things properly again. I've finished normal.5 (sort of, I may redo the end) and I've started working on normal.6, and I'm planning a second part to a certain story I wrote about an orca. I'm starting to look for artists to commission again (which I shouldn't do, because I'm broke). I don't know what that wave of... SOMETHING was, but here's hoping it never comes back.

I'll be active again really soon here guys. I just need to get through classes and work today, clean up my room (it's a mess), and finish an assignment that's due tomorrow.

It's a little late, but let's go for it anyway!

I've finally started on normal. five. Once I've set up this universe correctly (no matter how many chapters it takes!) I plan to write one-shots within that universe with various characters, many of which probably won't belong to me, and some of which may show up again within the main story itself!

I read back over what I've submitted so far of normal. and noticed things that I needed to explain better, or correct. As such, there are minor changes to normal. zero through normal. three. Hit F5 and re-download (if you downloaded) or reread if you feel like it to see what's different. However, normal. four is brand-new and totally safe to read! Let me know what you think!

Well, I'm back at college. I've got the day off tomorrow before the new semester begins on Tuesday. I have a lot to do tomorrow, but I do hope to get normal. four at least mostly finished, if not totally done and posted on FA and Weasyl. Only time will tell!
