I'm Still Alive
Posted 6 years agoIn a bit of a tight spot though. I have a condition in my feet known as plantar faciitis and it has been preventing me from working full hours at my day job. I've opened sticker commissions back up at a increased but fair rate. I enjoy making stickers more than any of the other things I do, so I'm gonna just take sticker comms to ease myself back into artwork.

Posted 8 years agoOkie! So I've had a number of folks commissioning me for reference sheets. So I'm gonna lay it all out right here.
Reference sheets start at $25 per character and are subject to increase by increments of $10 if your character is complex (custom markings, custom wings, etc. etc.)
Reference sheets can fit up to 6 Style Slots. Each Style starts at $5 per style and are subject to increase by increments of $5 if the outfit is complex. (Full body armors, Victorian style apparel, LACE!! UGH!!, etc. etc.)

Posted 8 years agoHappy Pride Month everyone! Whether your gay, bi, pan, trans, etc., love and celebrate who you are! Cuz, you're all awesome in your own way. =D
On that note, after a year of serious thought, (and about 20 years of casual thought) I've come to the decision that I want to begin life anew as a woman. I am MTF Trans. This might come as a shock for some folk, and that's understandable. I don't post here often enough (I'm getting better! I swear!) for folks to really track my life and actions. Those who talk to me a little more on the regular have said, "Duh! Friggin finally." and weren't really surprised, again, another sign that it's the time to start my transition. I don't even know who still reads these things, so I might just be speaking to an empty room, but all the same, it's nice to finally get it off my chest.
Of course, I come to this decision a few weeks after I updated my reference sheet, so I had to re-re-update my reference sheet to better suit my mental image of myself and my sona. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out, I'll be submitting shortly.
To those of you out there who've been my friend for longer than we can remember, I'm still me, just gonna be going through some physical changes to match how I feel inside. No biggie. Carry on.

Posted 9 years agoOkay, I've got most everything that I had on my account pre-hiatus uploaded and set, as well as a bunch of stuff that hasn't seen the light of the internet. I'm making an attempt to get all the things art related to me on here so I can have a more organized place for them. Being in this fandom for as long as I have been, I've gone through 3-4 hard drives over the years, so a lot is buried in backups of backups. As I hunt for things, I will post as I find them, but the majority of the post spam is done.

Posted 9 years agoGot a lot posted today. I have a lot more but they contain a certain otter and memories that I'd rather let go by the wayside. As much as I want to, I can't bring myself to delete the art that contains that otter, not for any respect I may harbor for him, but respect for the art and the artists. If anybody wants the art they drew of Addik and I, ask, and I'll email them to you, otherwise that era of my life has been obliterated from my FA and shall remain that way. He was the whole reason I disappeared from FA to begin with... ...but enough with the drama.
More to come, next wave will be art that I've done.
I also have many pieces from myself and others that I don't have digital copies of. Need to procure a scanner.

I like that FA has folders for submissions now, that's a nice touch. Done with the badges folder, next will probably be commissions I've gotten throughout the ages.

I'm Back (2016)
Posted 9 years agoPulled out of retirement. Back from the dead. Anari lives again!
Reasons? Multiple. I've gotten married. Found me a handsome husband who is also a furry. He encouraged me to resume my ottery mantle.
I've moved to Minneapolis, and trying to get back into the swing of furry after being out of the fandom for so long. Well, I was never really out of the fandom, just temporarily removed I guess.
Anyway, yeah, I'm back, remodeled. Going back to my roots. Some folks might remember Gaius the Ottergoth. My original fursona all the way back in 1998, if not, then you'll get to see the evolution of my fursona all over again as I repopulate this account with all my character art again. It's going to be a bit of a process so bare with me, I have everything backed up, I just need to dig it out and touch it up.

Posted 13 years agoI'm retiring my fursona. While I have many good memories of my ottery self, I have A LOT of bad ones too... To the point where considering myself an otter is leaving a foul taste in my muzzle.
It's time for a new beginning, it's time for something different, I've reached a point in my life where I need to let go of my past and look on towards the future.
That being said, I'm not leaving the fandom, although, most everyfur knows that I haven't been active for a very long time, and I sincerely doubt I will ever be as active as I used to be... School has been replaced with work, and I'm working two jobs now. Bus boy by day, cartoon producer by night. Stereotypical actor stuff.
I'm shutting down this corner of the internet for myself though. NRG will be a dead user, submissions are gone, journals are gone.
