Digimon Story: Time Stranger Demo/New Patreon Poll
Posted a week agoI played it. It is a pretty solid opening sequence. Can't wait for the full game.
My 'starter' was Gomamon. I'm not really a fan of Patamon (I don't dislike him, just rather neutral), and DemiDevimon was a Digimon I used a decent bit to get to Lilithmon (either that or Palmon) in Cyber Sleuth, so Gomamon it is..
My final party was Gomamon, Impmon, and Dracomon. Wanted Gazimon but I got Impmon to convert first and my main party in CS and HM was always one each of Virus, Data, and Vaccine.

Me and my commission prices...
Posted 2 weeks ago... For the 5 people that decided to look here...
I've been told that my prices are kinda low. It was only one person and I don't believe this is something anyone else really considers (pertaining to me). However, I will say that my prices are relatively low purely because there's no real demand. Same reason why I don't intentionally do times posts between my Patreon and everywhere else: lack of demand.
Due to my lack of a car and distance from work, whatever money I do get from commissions nowadays goes to travel expenses and supporting others through Patreon for the most part. Overall, no 'profit', just more leeway to use the money I make off of my day job. I probably could get away with taking the bus home from work but I do have to tend to my mother and, admittedly, not spending an hour and a half to get home is... nice, so I call to get a ride.
Not to say I'd ideally would charge over $100 for my work but I'd be more willing to price above $50 if I could. But I'm getting some money, at the very least.
As for patreon, at this point I surmise that I won't make much money off ot it. But, again, it's something. I have no idea how to advertise my patreon, nor do I know how to give any sort of incentive, even for the free tier.
Anyway I am just rambling and wanting to touch base with anyone who reads.

I don't know how to advertise my Patreon.
Posted 2 months agoBut I do have one.

Took a long break but I am starting it back up. This will contain higher resolution versions of my work, and also future polls. Still need to figure things out, though.

Restarting Patreon Next Month/Art Fight 2025
Posted 3 months agoFor a while I halted Patreon payments. And during that time I made my Pateon uploads public. However, on July I'll be restarting payments.
Granted I've already personally spoke to everyone who's actively giving me money, but I'm taking this as an oppritunity of advertising my Patreon.
Also I'll be popping into Art Fight for the first time.

Just a minor opinion piece on gaming...
Posted 3 months agoWhenever I see someone say that there are no good newer games, I assume one (or some mixture of) of 3 things.
1) You haven't looked hard enough, and may be waiting for something to 'fall in your lap', as it were.
2) You are largely apathetic to 'new games' in general and aren't going to be into them regardless.
3) You have a very specific taste in games in which new games are legitimately not scratching that itch.
Also, I am not a fan of the notion that "Back in the day all games were finished and developers worked with heart". Hindsight is picking up a lot of slack, but a lot of the issues of gaming nowadays are just more mainstream takes on issues games have had back then. Games bereft of creativity or games pushed out into the market too early or games churned out to make a buck have almost always been a thing. Some of it has 'gotten worse' over time, but some of it is simply gaming getting more mainstream, on top of games taking years to make now rather than months with larger staff in many cases.
And, finally, no, console exclusive games are not 'anti-consumer', it's competition (in most cases). Getting rid of it as a concept is just going to work towards homogenization and potentially lower game quality. Xbox had the weakest set of exclusive games and now people are saying MS is trying to drop out of consoles while they try to do their 'Xbox anywhere" thing. It's why there's less justification to buy a Sony system and why Nintendo had, generally, did well enough with hardware that is considered "outdated". PC is great and all but I'm not willing to throw away physical media for the convenience of some extra space (but this will depend on the person). I like PC as an option, but I prefer to use it alongside my consoles, not to replace them. And I say this as someone who has used PC as a major means of gaming in the past.
So, yeah.

Selling characters?
Posted 4 months agoWell, I've certainly made plenty and I don't quite use them all, so I am considering selling some characters again for some money.
Granted I am unsure if there is any interest, I've had some issue even giving away some characters in the past, and I'm wondering if anyone would even want some of my characters.
That said, not selling any main-canon Yondard characters, characters I have 'joint custody' of (Mostly the different versions of Elly, PIQ, and Regina), or just certain 'important' characters (Heyuu, Ziggy, Gankuu, etc).

I post some of my art here.

I post a lot of my not-so-weird art and Yondard stuff.
https://www.weasyl.com/~rippahroojizah
I post art here on occasion. Kinda wish the site saw more activity, though.
https://www.patreon.com/c/itstherippah
Where most of my higher resolution versions of my art is posted. Currently, since I have paused payments, many of the pics there are publically seen.
I also have a Deviant Art but my active profile only has my Yondard art and almost no one watches me there anyway (not exaggeration, 3 years only got me 5 watchers), so might as well push my Cara over it.
FA is generally my main spot and the only one where I post 'everything'. I do dislike social media sites like TwiX, though. Bluesky I use but I admit if I'm not seeing art I'm seeing "Look how bad Trump is" posts, and I'm not there for political discourse. Cara at least has a gallery function, which makes it, for me, the best one so far.

I may make "art of low appeal", but...
Posted 5 months agoHello, irrelevant artist here. I make art that doesn't seem to get much of any attention. Maybe I'm too boring, don't have enough recognizable characters, I dunno (although I've been told a few times my art is visually unappealing in some way). I've been here for 16 years, "give it time" and "improve my art" has proven to not help much, if at all.
But even if I couldn't drum up decent interest in my characters or OCs if my life depended on it, I do find some solace in knowing that a handful of people do like my art. And if I went around saying no one cares or no one likes my art, it means I am tacitly admitting they are not important enough for me to care about.
Appreciate these ones who do care. Thank you.

My quick views on the Switch 2...
Posted 5 months agoName: Dissappointing that they went with the sequel numbering scheme. Granted, Nintendo tends to have really good names, or really bad names, and I guess they decided to go safe.
Console itself: Meh. The questionable compatibility with Switch titles doesn't help.
Price: I'm fine with it.
$80 games: I'm... iffy on this one. Not because of the price itself (I own a copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga, I don't get to complain about an $80 game), but because I don't know how Nintendo justifies it. Similar to Tears of the Kingdom, which I've heard was very much like BotW, was $70.
Duskbloods: A game Nintendo help fund exclusive to Nintendo? My word, the sky is falling!
Elden Ring on Switch 2: Actually kinda funny.
Joycons as mice: Ew.
$10 tech demo: I'm on the fence about this one, I admit.
Everything else: Eh, I forge-
Video streaming: WOT IS THAT FRAMERATE?

Potentially reopening comms (Please read. Or don't)
Posted 5 months agoA couple weeks ago I was in a car accident with my mother going into work. Me, I got banged up but didn't suffer any notable physical injuries to where I need to be hospitalized, but my mother broke her arm and will need surgery soon. At the moment I'm not sure how much insurance will cover, especially given that the guy who hit us, while at fault, is also dead.
My mother still worked up to that point, but we live together and I figured, eventually, income will fall squarely on me one day. And, go figure, it came sooner than I imagined as she is considering retiring.
As such, I have been considering reopening comms for some time, although I know sometimes I tend to be very slow with them, on top of the fact that, lets face it, it's very difficult for me to get any business without outright asking people.
A lot of stuff is kinda up in the air and I'm taking it one day at a time.

General Yondard Char Development notes
Posted 5 months agoI will briefly go over some character development notes for what I had intended certain characters to go through.
Rahtinah- Her agreeing to train Taiga was her attempt at socializing, which she is bad at. Generally speaking, Rah will not speak to most she doesn't know due to the way she speaks. Also it takes her some time to articulate her "Time dialated perception" due to how difficult it is to quite say it. But, over time she does open up and tries to be a bit more patient. She typically is less likely to 'help others' than Taiga is, initially, unless she really wants to.
Taiga-The designated 'leader' of the group, he can be bossy at times. Also, due to his stance on life, he is very much against killing, and this would cause some friction with E'elwaltz (Despite it very much being an accident, Taiga in his youth still exiled him). That said, he's generally dependable and is the most capable of general social interaction of the group.
Fennia- Generally speaking, she doesn't really want to live. Not so much suicidal (at least, not after she meets with Kolruu), but she has little desire to live. She's also a bit nuts and *will* laugh if she hears Yondards say something that can be construed as innuendo (when she was human Yolonda was not above some dirty jokes, and she knows that Yondards absolutely have no idea what coitus is) in a tourettes like fit. Except Mertens. Fennia knows that Mertens knows about humans so it's less funny. In any case, she does become closer to the others and reveals, eventually, that she lied about having amnesia.
Kolruu/Kira-Kolruu was a Yondard created by an incomplete Kira who remained dormant until after Rezzard betrayed him. Despite what Kira does, he wants what's best for Kolruu, but due to the nature of what Kira is, Kolruu has to eat other Yondards. Eventually, Kolruu will become a semi-pacifist, but largely because so long as Kira remains relatively dormant, and Kolruu refrains from using his abilities, he staves off the hunger for Yondards for much longer. He also has little to no respect for Taiga as a leader, finding him annoying and too bossy for his liking.
Mertens- Unlike the others, Mertens is a relatively late addition to give the other 4 of the main group an additional ally. While her personality is somewhat set, I haven't quite settled on themes yet.
Zumina- She does what she does purely to protect Minah, her creator. Prime wants some number of Yondards killed every so often and orders came down to Skubasti and Minah to take over Black Maw. But Minah did not want to hurt anyone and made Zumina to take her place. Minah is almost always around Zumina, but since Minah can turn invisible, almost no one notices her. Like Taiga, Zumina holds loyalty to somoene in high regard. It's just that Zumina had to do a lot of bad stuff to ensure Minah is safe.
Rongbok B'gok- It's hard to tell but he's very much someone who developed what he is thanks to kung fu movies (while sunlight hurts Yondards, electronic light is less fatal. Still, a young Rongbok made due). He does very much love Rahtinah as a daughter, but when he was tapped to become a prime unit, he felt he could be a part of something bigger, even if some of the things he would have to do was not quite desirable. Like Rahtinah, Rongbok was a semi-loner who had issues opening up to others. And while they don't quite see eye to eye, Rongbok was considered to be almost Skubasti's best friend.
Skyecrab- SKYCRAB BEST AUTYON THERE IS! TALKING AUTYON WILL LOSE! SKYECRAB BEST AUTYON, PROVE WITH GREAT STRENGTH!
Rezzard- He is one of those knowledge seeker types, he knew Kolruu since some time after Rahtinah absorbed Yonnie. While Rezzard played the part as mentor to a largely angry or frustrated Kolruu, he was merely observing him, knowing there was something special about him... or inside him. Kolruu finding out is what caused Kira to fully awaken. While this would grant Kolruu more power it came at the cost of a voracious hunger for Yondards. Rezzard would eventually become one of Prime's group, but Rezzard was able to find more and more information on it and humans, and eventually decided to attempt taking Prime out to gain access to knowledge and power.
Skubasti- Does what he has to do, even if he becomes 'evil' to do it. One of his goals as one of Prime's underlings is to monitor Yondards and ensure that any Beyondards, if not prevented from occuring, are killed quickly. Skubasti himself was nearly killed by one long ago right after it was 'born' (Being Kira). He is not totally heartless, however, as he has some respect for some Yondards.
Hromaki and Mephamb- They don't recieve much development, they're already a working, married couple.
Hector/Fokamune/E'elwaltz- All caught in a bad situation and making due with what opprotunities they can get when Taiga's group arrive in Rio Manage. E'elwaltz himself needs to deal with his feelings towards Taiga, especially when he accidentally triggers Taiga's transformation.

General Yondard Story PT9
Posted 5 months agoI do not have the entire story and sequence of events planned out and set in stone, but I want to have somewhere to post a general overview of what the story would have been without going into many minute details.
This is the end of the story. Or the jist of it. I never really came up with a definitive end, but I was close to it.
Rah and Taiga take on their respective rivals at the same time. Even with the abberant forms (which they did not revert to intentionally, they simply were unable to hold them back in this fight), they are not able to stand against them. But, nearing death, the two decide to risk it all for one final plan; absorbing each other (Remember, Rahtinah can absorb others, and with their connection, Taiga can do so as well in this scenario). They do so and take victory, but eventually their seperate forms would become one: Hope.
"Hope", while retaining the memories of Rah and Taiga, is still its own being. It decides to, for now, look around at the surface world as it is no longer harmed by light. It doesn't have much issue keeping out of sight of security, and it watches the various humans while remaining cloaked, noting similarities and differences with how Yondards lived. She eventually finds an older man on her way to her ultimate goal; a meeting with Yondard Prime. The old man seems surprised but unafraid of Hope, noting that it reminded him of how much his deceased wife was very curious about Yondards. However, Prime deemed her and others a nuisance and a threat and imprisoned them. That was the last time he saw his wife, Yolonda.
Hope makes their way to Yondard Prime, easily taking out its defenses. Despite what Prime believes, though, as it prepares to defend itself, Hope has no desire to actually fight. But Fennia, who also arrives and is changed, wants to kill Prime. Only, she wants to do it as "Yolonda". The three fight until Hope subdues Yolonda, and demands that Prime stands down. Hope extracts what's left of Kira as Yolonda begs them not to take her remaining friend, especially since Kolruu, Rah, and Taiga are gone. Even telling her that they are comprised of Rah and Kolruu doesn't mean much. Hope 'reverts' back to Taiga and Rah (well, revert is not the best term. "Taiga and Rahtinah" are still Hope, but also Taiga and Rahtinah's personalities.) and tries to console Yolonda, which takes some time.
Meanwhile, Prime admits that it has done some awful things, but had become jaded with constant uprisings from humans and Yondards for many, many years. No matter what, it was hated, and over time it became less and less concerned with being 'kind' and more about trying to get control of things.
Admittedly this is where it ends, as I never decided on what happens after the fight.

General Yondard Story PT8
Posted 5 months agoI do not have the entire story and sequence of events planned out and set in stone, but I want to have somewhere to post a general overview of what the story would have been without going into many minute details.
Although somewhat fragmented part, this is nearing the end of the story.
Also of note, i admit, this story has had many, many tweaks over the years. Mertens is a relatively recent addition to the story and I've yet fully figured out her role up to this part, so she is more or less absent here.
While the group is resting after recent events, they are attacked by Zumina and Rongbok (I can't believe I've been misspelling his name all this time), among likely other enemies, although the two are transformed and don't seem to be fully cognizant of their actions. They are also much stronger than before, while Taiga and Rahtinah are still weakened and are no match. Kolruu has to get Yolonda prepared, and while E'elwaltz is trying to help, Estill simply watches, only protecting E'elwaltz and not the others.
They escape, but to give them time, E'elwaltz stays behind to give them time along with Estill. Taiga is having none of it, but he is restrained long enough for E'elwaltz to give his life to protect them, much to Estill's surprise.
The remainder flee, defeated, and down to Rah, Taiga, Fennia, and Kolruu. Rah and Taiga are especially demotivated, as Rah seems to have lost her father figure, and Taiga, once more, unable to save anyone. All the while they have stronger versions of Rongbok and Zumina on top of Rezzard to worry about.
Kolruu realizes that they are very much outmatched, but he and Fennia figures they might as well go out fighting. Rah and Taiga decide to take a vacation, to Kolruu and Fennia's surprise. They go somewhere to have fun, to be entertained, and then, finally, they get officially married. During this time, however, Fennia notices that the two are not doing well, and then realize the two are effectively doing what they want to do out the way before they die. Once all that is said and done, the group split up. Kolruu and Fennia go to look for, and find Rezzard, riding a large vessel piloted by Skyecrab. His plan was, ultimately, to take out the "Yondard Prime", the very being that all Yondards came from. This also means he had intended to betray Skubasti eventually, as well as tend to the transformed Zumina and Rongbok, having those forms forced onto them as the rest were seen as a threat.
The vessel is able to move above ground, and Skycrab and Rezzard are protected. They and Kolruu/Fennia battle it out in the skies before finally damaging Skyecrab enough to enter. They face Rezzard, who both uses a device to enhance his own strength (this is what Taiga's capture led to, the finishing touches for this device), and another device to extract Kira from Kolruu. But Kolruu has just enough residual energy within him to fight Rezzard, damaging his device and causing him to mutate. With what little mobility Fennia can muster, she attempts to knock Rezzard out of the ship, but isn't successful until Kolruu helps. They hit the ground, but both Rezzard and Kolruu burn up, leaving a dying Kira (he is not weak to sunlight, but he is still an 'incomplete' Beyondard in need of a vessel to reside in. )
Knowing that Rah and Taiga are likely dead, as well as Kolruu burning up, Fennia finds herself alone again. Whereas before, she was depressed. But now, she was angry at losing yet another 'life', all thanks to Yondard Prime.
Although somewhat fragmented part, this is nearing the end of the story.
Also of note, i admit, this story has had many, many tweaks over the years. Mertens is a relatively recent addition to the story and I've yet fully figured out her role up to this part, so she is more or less absent here.

Posted 5 months agoI do not have the entire story and sequence of events planned out and set in stone, but I want to have somewhere to post a general overview of what the story would have been without going into many minute details.
A little more fragmented than previous parts...
Rahtinah and Taiga are both on the loose, transformed. Mertens goes to tend to the two, revealing her own secondary form that she kept secret, while Kolruu and Fennia go after Rezzard, whom had ransacked Merten's home and, while suffering a setback from Taiga's escape, largely has what he needs. While Kolruu ends up facing off against Creysha, Rezzard's assistant (and knew Kolruu in his youth as well) and taking her out, Mertens find Taiga and Rahtinah, whom fight each other. But with some focus, the two regain themselves and transform back.
B'Gok decides to test Rahtinah, although he had orders to dispose of her through any means, as well as Hector and his group. He meets Hector first, but Rahtinah stops him. She finally defeats him and he explains to her why he did what he did.
-Taiga faces off against Zumina and Sinaga together, and is livid when he hears that most of his people are dead. However, as angry as he is, he realizes that Zumina has taken no joy in their deaths. She is not apologetic, but it almost seem painful for her as well. But the realization comes when that other Yondard, a rat-chameleon, Minah, took a blow for Zumina after she was defeated.
-Skubasti decides to take matters into his own hand. Fennia and Kolruu return soon enough to briefly drive Skubasti away (all the while seeing Skubasti triggers Kira), he returns to take on Hector, Fokamune, and E'elwaltz. Despite their best efforts, Fokamune is killed, and Hector is severly hurt. Under extreme mental duress, Hector ceases using his power on himself (blah blah read his profile), causing him to 'die'... and create Estill. Skubasti tries to take him out, but Estill kills Skuba. And also kills E'elwaltz, but while Estill doesn't have all of Hector's memories, he feels a sort of... deep familiar adoration towards him.
-Taiga and Rahtinah are feeling some ill effects holding back their transformations, but are largely okay. With Skubasti killed, and B'Gok and Zumina defeated, they imagined they would try to figure out what to do next, outside of Rezzard's plans...

Posted 5 months agoI do not have the entire story and sequence of events planned out and set in stone, but I want to have somewhere to post a general overview of what the story would have been without going into many minute details.
A little less fragmented than previous parts...
Hector and Fokamune knew each other in their youth. E'elwaltz cane a bit later, becoming their protector. He was banished from Black Maw by a yount Taiga, who even then stressed how important life was after E'elwaltz accidentally killed someone out of anger.
The three would remain in Rio Manage, but notes that Skubasti had, at some point, taken the city under his control with his own batch of shady characters (which is more or less an open secret to certain circles). The three would eventually get information on his travel habits, and decided to take him out while he was on a train. They know the train is guarded, and know that someone is with Skubasti, but the trio was confident that they could do this.
Skubasti defeated them easily. Even if he had trouble, B'Gok was with him as well. Skuba considered killing them, but Hector made a deal: Their survival for their services. Skubasti would take the deal; depite how much he loathed Skubasti he wanted to save E'elwaltz and Fokamune more.
After some jobs, Hector was tasked with seeking Rahtinah and Taiga within Rio Manage. He sees Taiga alone on his own search (I do plan on having them meet already, and Hector being not necessarily the main one he's looking for, but would have been a bonus), and they have at it for a bit until a group of other Yondards, led by Rezzard, appears, capturing Taiga.
Having been gone for too long, Rahtinah searches for Taiga on her own while Kolruu and the others are on standby. However, over time Rahtinah would feel ill, with bouts of numbness and pain.
Hector, Fokamune, and E'elwaltz finally get to meet again, in secret, to discuss what they've been doing. Upon hearing whom Hector met with, E'elwaltz is shocked, but they are interrupted by Rahtinah, whom had spotted and followed Hector, and is flanked by Kolruu and Fennia. Not wanting to deal with them at this point, the other three take a vehicle and drive off, with Rah's group following them close behind. But Rah's condition coupled with E'elwaltz' power and some driving from Foka, they escape.
E'elwaltz is very concerned over Taiga, and the three figure out where he's being held. Despite E'elwaltz's mixed feelings, Hector and Foka agree to help out and head to the research facility Taiga is held in. E'elwaltz splits from Hector and Foka; while Hector and Foka sees some info pertaining to invasive experiments done on Taiga, E'elwaltz sees the prince himself and attempts to carry him out. However, Taiga pushes him away, telling him to stay away from him. E'elwaltz gets angry and yells at Taiga over what he had been through, but stops when he sees Taiga convulsing. Rezzard attempted to trigger an abberant transformation in Taiga, whom is considered special in not just his manner of birth (Black Maw rulers have a particular ritual) plus some sort of 'connection' to another.
The alarms go off from Taiga's transformation, also spooking Foka. The three reunite with a transformed, bestial Taiga close by, fighting off both Hector's group as well as other guards trying to subdue him. Taiga and Hector's group would escape their own way.
This connection to another was that of Rahtinah, who would also succumb to her own transformation shortly after Taiga.

General Yondard Story PT5
Posted 5 months agoI do not have the entire story and sequence of events planned out and set in stone, but I want to have somewhere to post a general overview of what the story would have been without going into many minute details.
These are effectively just some ideas I have for this part of the 'timeline' of sorts.
-Fennia would, at some point, learn to fly. Given that she is missing a wing, she was under the impression that she could not take flight, but lacking a wing does little to hinder her. Fennia is also the only one, Autyon or Yondard, to have outright immunity to sunlight. As such, provided any passengers are inside her, she is able to go straight through light shafts where others would have to go around them.
-Taiga and Rahtinah helps out a village whom was captured and made to work by a group of bandit Yondards. The leader of said Yondards is another of Zumina's group (While I've had this set role for a while, the character is still going thorugh some redesigning). He is little more than a hired hand, but Taiga decides to take him on while Rahtinah saves the others. Taiga wins, and gets some information from him pertaining to Zumina's current plan, being to take over another large area with the help of an Autyon called Skyecrab. This would aid in refocusing Taiga, as he is, at this point, largely trying to figure out what to do beyond traveling.
-Kolruu and Fennia also stumble upon plans with Skyecrab, facing off against him as well as Rezzard, a Yondard Kolruu is very familiar with, and is effectively Skyecrab's creator. Rezzard and Skyecrab would escape to prevent major delay in their plans.
-At some point Rahtinah would be the first to face off against Skycrab during his approach to one of the larger villages, with Taiga coming soon afterwards. The force is comprised of Skyecrab, Rezzard, Zumina, Sinaga, and some troops and golems, although, despite this being "Zumina's plan", she is only observing. Kolruu and Fennia join in as well, as golems are not as dangerous to Fennia, while Zumina and Sinaga fight Taiga and Rah until Skyecrab is disabled.
-Taiga and Rah stumble onto a few turrets that take aim, but are then met with Mertens. Initially seen as intruders, they hold Mertens off enough to convince her that they are not threats. Afterwards, despite her demeaner, Mertens is quite hospitable.
-Taiga sees Zumina investigating a strange area and decides to go on the offensive, but the two are quickly captured by humans using UV lights to subdue them. They are kept in a large cell, bathed in enough light to weaken them and lower their vision, but Taiga notices that there's a third Yondard there; one that Zumina is very protective of, but *isn't* Sinaga. Taiga never gets a good look at the third Yondard, but they call a temporary truce to escape, which they do. While Taiga doesn't know who this other Yondard was, he notes that she seemed fearful, and heard her name muttered, Minah.
-Due to some event, the group is lead towards Rio Manage, the largest Yondard city. While they would meet beforehand, Taiga sees and is chased by Hector, a hired hand, although not by Zumina.

These are effectively just some ideas I have for this part of the 'timeline' of sorts.
-In their travels, Rahtinah and Taiga would meet up with one of the splintered Galbald tribes, which Rah was a part of in her youth. While the others are greatful of her return (and Taiga being impressed with how well they are treating her), Rahtinah wants nothing to do with them. They also reveal that 'Rahtinah' is not her actual name, it's simply the name she came up with after she ran away, as she loathed the name 'Croakless', and didn't want to be known, being part frog, for her inability to proplerly croak like a frog.
Eventually, they capture Rah and it's revealed that Rahtinah is part of a 'set' of Gabalds that are meant to fuse and become a guardian Autyon, with Rah serving as, effectively, the brain to a limited degree. When Rahtinah ran away, the village splintered off into smaller sects, doing their own thing. While not wholly unfazed by the revelation, Rah still refuse to carry on with the plan. Taiga decides to save Rah the best way he can: Reading. Looking through the the various documents and books, Taiga crunched to come up with a way to legally cause the village to have to give up on her. He eventually would, bringing up a loophole pertaining to the fact that she was his wife, and had absorbed a part of him (which is true. Taiga's Jacket, even if not physically attatched to him like a body part, is a part of him. And under Black Maw law, the jacket acts as, for all intents and purposes, is equivilant to a crown. And giving his jacket to Rahtinah to keep (even if he's still wearing it) acts as his marriage to her.
Taiga would retrieve Rahtinah, who is nonplussed about the revelation that she married him. He would later tell her to consider the 'union' null and void. At least they're out.
Rahtinah and Taiga would also eventually run into Mephamb, whom Rahtinah knew in his youth. He doesn't like her very much due to how she broke up the tribe. How the meeting would fully go, I don't actually know.
One place would have a fighting tournament, where first place was a grand prize. However, neither Rahtinah nor Taiga are interested enough to enter... but they decide to watch. One of the entrants is a cloaked figure, and watching him fight, Rahtinah slowly realizes who he was. The figure easily fights any opponent that faces him, but he eventually points out Rahtinah in the audience. Taiga would note the fear and apprehension in her face, but she acquiesce to the demand. They fight for a brief period, with Rahtinah seemingly holding her own... but she knows her opponent isn't trying.
He would eventually uncloak himself. While Taiga didn't know his fighting style, he instantly recognizes the face of one of the ones who aided Zumina in taking over Black Maw, Master Ongbok B'Gok. Rahtinah was unaware of this as well.
Ong merely wanted to test his former pupil out and quickly defeats her, leaving her and Taiga, but claiming that they'll meet again soon enough.
These are effectively just some ideas I have for this part of the 'timeline' of sorts.

General Yondard Story PT3
Posted 5 months agoI do not have the entire story and sequence of events planned out and set in stone, but I want to have somewhere to post a general overview of what the story would have been without going into many minute details.
This is the part where the story starts to get a bit fragmented, and I don't quite have all the connecting pieces and all the ideas set.
For the time being, Rahtinah and Taiga recoup in Potts. Taiga is frustrated seeing his 'loyal' guards take orders from the one who took over Black Maw to capture him (although, for all intents and purposes, they were forced into that position). It's less obvious what Rahtinah is going through, but, while still dealing with the pain of her arms (and not quite fully assimilating them yet), her Time dialated perception has gotten worse (Rahtinah 'percieves' things at a rate that everything is slower to her, which leads to some impatience on her part. Also she *hates* it when someone talks too slow). Not only that, but Rahtinah hates her absorbtion ability, and the fact that she had to use it, to her, shows her weakness. And her weakness is, as far as she knows, why her master 'abandoned' her.
While Rahtinah had wanted to train Taiga, she has to reacclimate to her perception changing as well as her new arms. Tensions are getting high, and the two eventually get into an argument, with Rahtinah talking about how Taiga was too weak to keep his country, and Taiga calling her a murderer (by this point he knows a bit about the incident where she had to absorb someone to live when she was younger). Rah doesn't take this lightly, punching Taiga through a wall and a good distance away. Alas, the place they are in has a policy for patrons to repair damages they caused, and Rahtinah is quickly given repair materials. Taiga, hurt and slightly embedded into the ground, mulls over what he had done. Despite how he felt, Rahtinah was right: he was too weak.
He decides to talk to Rahtinah again, and meets back up with her, still repairing the wall (and Taiga is also given repair materials). It would take some time, but the two would reconscile.
Kolruu is elsewhere, buying more food for Fennia (although he gets that, for some reason, she finds the food disgusting. Yondards don't quite have the palette of a human). He already had his 'meal' and it would satisfy for the time being, although he dislikes that he had to do this. He bumps into Rahtinah, and Kolruu recognizes her... and in him wells up considerable anger, causing him to transform slightly, but restrain himself enough to not cause much surrounding damage. Despite her pleas, Kolruu isn't having it and attacks her. Rah is unable to do much of anything to Kolruu, and she is subdued. He goes in to devour her, but he hesitates... eventually forcing himself to calm down, as if this outburst isn't quite of his own volition.
He lets her free and leaves.
At some point Kolruu would tell Fennia what's going on with himself: he himself is little more than a vessel, almost an autyon himself. Inside himself is housed a weakened Beyondard named Kira. While he wouldn't get into the details he has to eat other Yondards for Kira's sake. And his attacking Rahtinah was due to Kira's influence.
Fennia, Rahtinah, Kolruu, and one other, Yonnie, were all friends in their youth. However, due to an incident, Yonnie and Rahtinah suffered severe burns from a light shaft. Neither would have survived, but Yonnie let her absorb him so that she could survive. Kolruu, however, hated Rahtinah for it, as it was her fault her and Yonnie were in such a situation, and while they were previously all friends, Kolruu and Yonnie were almost brothers. Yonnie's death would end up breaking the group up for a long while.
General Yondard Story PT2
Posted 5 months agoI do not have the entire story and sequence of events planned out and set in stone, but I want to have somewhere to post a general overview of what the story would have been without going into many minute details.
Additional note, Fennia would have generally been the character to explain stuff to for the sake of exposition, while Kolruu would be Fennia's support, compared to Taiga and Rah, whom are effectively the two mains.
Yolonda would find herself laying on the ground, missing her right ring. She is unable to move and is somewhat delirious. She recalls being a human... but also having memories of a Yondard. She remembers being experimented on and being combined with said Yondard. There were others, but she seemed to be the only success... if barely, as the Yondard side of her mind was fading. And with that fading was her ability to move (There is an explanation but that gets into what Yondards *are* and that I will save for another time).
She tries to escape, but something, a bat-rabbit Yondard blasted her wing nearly clean off right as she was about to fly off. The fall did the rest of the job, removing the damaged limb.
At this point, Yolonda was slowly dying... very slowly. She has no idea how long she's been lying in that same spot alone. As there's no sun nearby she loses all sense of time. She fades in and out of consciousness for long periods, practically begging to die.
She would eventually wake up, seeing a band of bandit Yondards having stumbled upon her, and trying to figure out what to do with this 'Autyon'. It may have been beat up, but it may be useful still. But the bandits were tailed by a large Yondard. Despite being outnumbered, they are easily defeated and devoured. It was an odd being with some glowing fur, but for some reason Yolonda... the memories of the Yondard that was a part of her recognized him. She called out to him, Kolruu.
Her conscious faded, but came to relatively quickly. It was Kolruu, albeit looking a bit different... no glowing fur and overall less dangerous looking. He offers some edimas (Edimas being the general term for 'food', Edible Mass) and she eats it... finding it disgusting. While Yolonda asks why he doesn't just eat her, Kolruu mentions that she's far too large... plus she's an old friend. He recognizes her as Fennia... Fennia was the one who was forcibly fused into Yolonda. That said, both Kolruu and Fennia are much larger than the other remember, but neither get into explaining it. Knowing that her knowlege of the world under the surface is rather low, Yolonda takes on the name "Fennia",and claims to have some amnesia, caused from the incident and whatever amount of time she spent half dead. This also means she avoids having to explain her current situation.
While 'Fennia' clearly saw Kolruu eat some Yondards, Kolruu isn't quite fine with it. However, due to a condition, he has to eat a Yondard every so often. Fennia has no means to go against him and agrees to help him. Kolruu does seem to be glad to have someone to talk to, even an old friend, Fennia basically sees her life as out of her hands. She can't move on her own (although, being an Autyon now, Kolruu is able to control her movements by riding inside her), and her old life is now a distant memory.
Kolruu is effectively a nomad and just traveles around. But with Fennia, travel is easier, and he eventually makes it to Potts. And he's there purely to find a Yondard to eat before moving on...

General Yondard Story PT1
Posted 5 months agoI do not have the entire story and sequence of events planned out and set in stone, but I want to have somewhere to post a general overview of what the story would have been without going into many minute details.
Taiga, once the prince of Black Maw (In this context "Prince" just mean a ruler who hasn't had the experience of being a full fledged King) finds himself without a kingdom, having suffered an attack on his people, with him being the only one who escaped. While his teleportation has its limits, he usually keeps this ability hidden to use as a trump card. Once escaped, he tried to seek help, but found no one really capable of helping him, and few even knew of Black Maw.
In a rut and needing time to really figure out what to do, he ends up in a village named Potts, washing dishes. One day he would glance at a travelling Galbaldian having issue trying to get an order out, with an odd manner of speaking. While they do see each other, the patron leaves. After work, outside the town, Taiga would train using his abilities. He would then spot the Gabaldian from earlier. They would talk, the other referring to herself as Rahtinah. Much to Rah's pleasure, Taiga is able to understand her speech. They speak, snark a bit, and get to know each other more, although Taiga doesn't reveal his royalty.
After spending some time together, they reach Potts, spotting 2 Yondards that Taiga recognized as Black Maw knights, as well as something he knows as a Golem, one of the creatures that helped overthrow his kingdom. Taiga elects to take another route, but Rahtinah is impatient, wanting to just get it over with. The knights find Rahtinah suspicious and reveals to her that he's royalty that they are trying to apprehend. Taiga decides to come out, realizing that the knights seems to be working with the one who took over Black Maw. Angered, he demands answers, but the knights command the golem to capture Taiga. Rahtinah, however, is not relevant. The two try to fight it off, but to no avail due to its rocky armor. Eventually, Rah is captured, and her arms crushed and ripped. Before the golem could fully finish the job, Taiga teleports, grabbing Rahtinah and taking her to a safe place... at least, safe for a few moments.
Rah's condition did not look good, quickly fading away. He sat his jacket over her and effectively decided to go out fighting, seeing yet another Yondard he couldn't protect. He quickly gets back to the Golem and fights it off, doing little more than slow his approach, until someone jumped on top of the Golem... Rahtinah. With the last of her strength, she would absorb some of the mass of the Golem into herself, granting herself a new, larger set of arms, and weakening the Golem. It was also this absorbtion that allowed Rah to get that bit of energy by absorbing his coat (although it remained whole).
With the Golem weakened, Taiga and Rahtinah join forces once more, destroying the Golem with Taiga's crystalized energy and Rah's fists. The Black Maw guards run off, but Taiga doeesn't take up the chase seeing Rahtinah in pain and tired.
While Taiga would take Rahtinah to recoup, the knights find a hiding spot, but are quickly accosted by another Yondard... standing much taller then them, it kills and devours one of the knights.

Who do I owe art to?
Posted 7 months agoI apologize but I've been in a major rut as of late and I can't quite explain it. No matter what I drew it didn't seem good. But I really am trying to get this done.
So, just to be sure I got everything down (I know it's at least 3 requests, a trade, and a commission), I want to know to whom do I owe art.
