Anyone Play Warframe?
Posted 11 years agoFigured I might as well give this a shot.
So I play Warframe and I'm one of the leaders of a small Shadow Clan (close to 30 members) and we've recently begun to explore Dark Sectors and Solar Rails.
I'm curious if there are any Tenno Clans amongst watchers in the Furry community that might be interested in an Alliance?
Thanks to any who reply. ^.^

Commissions Due To Be Posted
Posted 11 years agoSo, I've been running around a bit and getting commissions from various artists. But, since things have been rather busy lately and I'm an easily distracted fennec, they haven't really been posted.
So, with the new reference sheet having been getting a work out, let's see about fixing that...

Going to MFF!
Posted 13 years agoJust as the title. I'm wondering who else I might know is going?
Got Game?
Posted 17 years agoOkay, I know I don't post much despite earlier claims.
So I'll keep this simple.
I've got Left 4 Dead and Gears of War 2 for Xbox 360. My gamertag is ParadimKit.
I'm interested in playing sometime with some friendly furs online. Thank ya.

Your Eye and Pedestals
Posted 17 years agoSo, something this new book (Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain) keeps expounding upon is that anyone can learn how to draw.
This is rather difficult to believe, considering the works I've seen here on FurAffinity. Could I ever match Zen? Is the muscular detail of Moonstalker's works within my grasp? Are the raw emotions seen in BlackTeagan's art possible for me to put on paper?
....Yeah, I'm dubious too.
What this book says is that it's not in the hands. It's in the eyes. Once you're able to see in the proper fashion, then you'll be able to draw. The book quotes several artists with similar sayings... And it can be rather understandable that this is really an issue of perceptions. If it's one commonly accepted thought, it's that artists see the world differently. The real question here is, can I learn how to see that way too?
On thinking of it, it really seems like a spiritual thing. A shift of paradigm (no name jokes please), if you will. Reading this author, it almost seems like learning how to draw is akin to finding religion or becoming a prophet. Now there's a funny thought, Neoneon in a nun outfit...
I know lots of people venerate artists. They're able to grasp the world around them in their hands and put it down onto paper. Not even just the world around them, but things from the sheer realm of imagination. That's amazing stuff and frankly, a bit intimidating.
But... Maybe it's possible to learn that ability. Maybe I can perceive things like how they do.
I dunno... Guess I'll just have to keep my eyes open. ^^

On Kitsunes and Drawing
Posted 17 years agoWow, I don't think I've ever really used this thing. I think it's been gathering rust! Well, time to oil the hinges and perhaps start recording some thoughts.
I've never really thought I had the ability to draw. Stick figures are the majority of what I'm capable of. This frustrates me very muchly as one thing I do have is a very active imagination. I stretch that imagination daily, typically through my regular diet of fantasy and science fiction books. I take words on paper and translate it into whole worlds. But words are a pretty poor medium to tell people what they need to see, what they need to imagine.
So, I really want to learn how to draw. Maybe if I can put some of the things I see in my head down onto paper, so that others can have a chance to see what I see, maybe my brain won't hurt so much with it all.
My roommate recommended to me a book. Drawing on the Right Side f the Brain. I'm not entirely sure why I took his advice and picked this book up, especially considering I never see him drawing... But, upon reading the Introduction of this book and the beginnings of the first chapter, some things are becoming clear.
In an effort to keep a practice of some kind of journal, I'm going to try to make updates here on my thoughts of learning how to draw. Who knows, might be interesting?
Let's find out.

Idle musings...
Posted 18 years agoWould anthro-horses need horseshoes?
Would the shoeing techniques be similar to those used for normal horses? Like hot-fitting where the metal horse shoe is heated to over 300 degrees before having a fitting burnt into the sole of the horse's hoof?

I wonder if anthro-horses go through it just for the enjoyment of seeing all the other anthros wince and shudder?
