Posted 7 years agoIt's been a long time since I've made a journal entry, apparently 2 years. Seems to be a growing trend for me. I'm still struggling with the desire to draw, tho I have done a few things here and there for fun. I don't know, it's just like, I get an idea in my head, and I start thinking, okay, I should draw this up, and then suddenly I'm like, meh, and I don't bother.
Life's okay I guess, nothing really too abnormal going on. Life moves on, but at the same time seems to stand still.

Update
Posted 11 years agoSo, I just noticed that I haven't updated my journal in over a year. Whops. I didn't realize it's been that long.
Let's see, I moved in October last year. Finally in my own home. Few things that need to be fixed yet, but it's nice to have something that's all mine. Ironically it's only 5 blocks from where I used to live. My Step-Brother took over my old place.
My niece graduated high school this year, and my son just started junior high. I can't believe I'm 30 now, I feel so old some times.
I still haven't really been able to bring my self into drawing more. There are plenty of ideas floating around in my head that I would love to get down on paper, but when I sit down to do it, it's like, bleh. I dislike this very much. Just don't have the inspiration to do it.
And when I do start drawing, it's very painful, and my hands go numb after a few minutes. I plan on having carpel tunnel surgery soon, so that I can get back to life.
I gave the auctions a try, and only managed to sell like 3 pictures. This didn't help my moral any. I know I should draw for -me-, for my own desire, but you can't deny the feeling of having been paid for something you worked hard on. It's amazing, and I wish it would happen more.
A lot of the drama in my life is gone now, still some of course, drama is everywhere, no one can really get away from all of it, but for the most part, a lot of the stress is gone. Right now it's pretty much working on a balance of money and bills. Seems like there just isn't enough, ya know? I'd love to be able to sell some things so I could save it to buy a little something special for my self and my family now and then.
Again, I'll let you guys know, that almost everything I've drawn is for sell, if you are interested in something, please feel free to drop me a note.

Tin Cup
Posted 12 years agoHey guys, I've been around. Not to sure how many people even check on my page very often but meh. I've been around, just not very productive lately. Been sick, dealing with life drama, and just not inspired to draw at all.
Anyway, money is still a big life issue right now, so I'm looking for a few more avenues to sell some of my stuff. In that pursuit, I've put up some things on two auction sites to see if I get any bites. I have also put up some things into me DA prints, who knows. I also want to note that almost everything I've drawn is for sell, if you are interested in something, please do note me!

Furbuy
Posted 13 years agoMoney sucks lately, can't seem to balance out, and it feels like life is just sucking away everything, so I've decided to start trying to sell some of my older stuff on Furbuy. You can search for me on there or just go to (http://www.furbuy.com/cgi/listselle.....ywolf&as=c) right now it only lets me list 5 at a time. So each month I'll put up 5, and see how they do. Once I've got all the pictures up there that I care to put up, I'll start re listing the ones that fail. It'll take time, but meh, I'm not going any where... Stuff is up for cheap, so if it pleases you, please feel free to brouse!
I am, of course, still willing to sell most of what is on Here and on DA. People need only ask/offer on something. If I don't want to sell it, I'll let ya know.
I'm still debating on what I want to do with my Fursona. I can't decide. I'm torn between wanting a new look, feeling like I do need a change to be up to what I am now... And then also wanting to keep what I have, because it's been with me for a very long time. It's hard, and frustrating.

So anyway,
I've been thinking about changing my Fursona. I've had her as what she is since 1999 when I made her. I've changed and grown, and life has been rough. I think I need to adapt her as well. I enjoy her being a solid snow white with no other color except her piercing blue eyes, but I think it needs to change. The purity is gone, the soul is harder, and darker. Innocence of youth has evolved into experiences of life and motherhood. Not to mention the fact that should I ever find the money to get a fur suit made, solid white is gonna make me not wanna move. I hate wearing white, I'm terrified of staining it, lol. I think I'm going to incorporate my tattoo into it as well some how...
So, what do you all think? Any possible suggestions on colors / patterns? I have a few tiny ideas in the back of my skull, but nothing really coming up at the moment, not to sure how I want to even go about it, or what I'd want the out come to be.
Not to mention I've been seeing LOADS of Solid White Wolves with Blue eyes, and it drives me nuts. Every time I see a friend upload them I think "zomg she finally did it" then I see the name isn't mine and get sad.. LoL. :)
-Edit-
So working with some color thoughts... this one seems more 'girly' cause its purple rather then red. plus the colors seem to mesh fairly well.

and the second one.. blue and red are my top two favorite colors, i also tend to dye all my armor blue and red, when i play games, I've noticed.... >_< down side is, it appears more masculine cause of the red, which is okay i suppose cause I'm still a bit of a tomboy.

Which one do you think suits me best? Do you have any other thoughts or suggestions?
Also, I didn't copy the colors fro many where, this is what I came up with while talking to my friend, so if it resembles another you've seen some where or own, I appologize. I didn't bother searching for pattern references. I just picks some colors and tested them out.

Okay Then
Posted 15 years agoIt seems I've had an FA account for a long time now, and I apparently forgot. Good thing I checked! Heh. Anyway, for the past few days, and maybe some more to come this week. I'll be uploading some of my stuff. Some of it kinda sucks though. Since the majority of my work is on my DA page, I wont even bother trying to bring it all over here, nor would I want to. I'll be putting on here the people and animals only. Not even sure if I want to put up my humanoid people on here or not. I'm thinking about it. First is the anthro though and the animals. ^_^ I hope you enjoy.

I've been drawing for a long time now, but I'm just starting to get into proper-like anatomy. It also just so happens that a lot of my stuff lately is mature work. It seems to be what I've recently taken enjoyment in drawing. I've taken a lot of my inspiration from Frank Gembeck Jr. Yeah I know he got himself into some heavy shit. I don't much care for the man in that light, but it doesn't mean I'll like his art any less. At any rate, I enjoy using some of his work as reference material for posing and expressions. I'm getting better at coming up with my own poses and expressions, but sampling his art has really helped me a great deal. So if you see some of my stuff that looks familiar, that's probably why.
So, if you see the original image that you think I used the pose from, and I don't have it linked in the comment, please note me and I will add it on there right away! Thanks!

"Look at other artists' work. Look at all kinds of styles; not just furry/fantasy art. By viewing other art, you can get a feel for how the artist works, and that will in turn help you improve. Like how one artist does eyes? Like the fur texture another artist does? Try analyzing it and try it yourself. A lot of artists, myself included, began drawing by copying other artists. That's fine for when you're starting out. The key is to gradually move beyond copying and developing your own style. The less you rely on just one artist's style in favor of drawing together bits and pieces from many artists as you learn, the better, as it will get you going on your own style. Don't ever feel like you have to conform to any given style, either. Your own imagination is honestly your best guide, and a personal style will just naturally emerge over time."
Great words to go by, and I've done just that, and I'm getting better, I'm able to start to look at someones picture I like, and start to mimic it, but at the same time starting to change it into my own style. I keep working like this and soon I'll be able to do it all on my own, without wanting to follow how they did their pose, and to make my own.
So for all you "omg you traced" whiners, shut the fuck up, because I don't fucking trace. So stop being so snub nosed and stuck up.
