Sticking this journal here because I don't really write journals much :D It's not that I'm any particular level of social, more that I just don't have that much I think to say here that my close friends won't figure out by talking to me anyway! Rawr n' such! Now that FN is about to launch their commissioning system and things over there seem to have gotten active, I've gone ahead and made an account over there. I won't remove anything on here for old times sake, but anything new might only go up on one site or the other because I'm lazy and I'm not very good at maintaining multiple accounts :D Besides, most people that watch me have moved over there already anyway >.>

Yay, Furry Network Beta! I'm Quirc on there if anyone wants to check me out :) I plan on transitioning to the site once it's out of beta, but in the meantime I'll be hovering around both. It's pretty awesome so far! Anyone else got an account yet?

This'll be my second time there, had a lot of fun last time :) Hoping to meet up with some friends and enjoy some room parties. If all goes well you should be able to find me fairly easily - I'll be the bronze dragon with the flight suit on, most likely accompanied by my wifeysnout ;D

Yup, CitizenCon was awesome. We met Chris Roberts, bought him a much needed drink, got a photo taken of the three of us, bought an 890 JUMP, Chris signed the brochure and also apparently the back of my shirt.

Yeah, I'm that much of a Star Citizen fandragon. Going with my wifeysnout to Hollywood to party out with the Star Citizen dev team and likely watch them fail at streaming the event (as is tradition). Should be fun :3 Back later!

My starter Pokeman is a fennec fox. I have named him Fluffy, Destroyer of Worlds. He burns people alive. Once he gets enough experience he will become psychic and kill people WITH HIS MIND.

Best game ever.

A decent while ago, I bought a factory-new Benelli MR1, dropped about $1300. Ever since then it's been scopes, more ammo, improved magazines, and other upgrades... xD

The entire weapon system (before ammo costs) is sitting pretty at $2300 now. Most recent purchase for it was a Leupold VX-R Patrol 3-9x40mm scope + rings, which MSRPs at about $850 (luckily a friend helped me get it for a fair bit less!). I'm also sitting on $400 worth of 5.56mm for it x.x

My poor savings. If only target shooting wasn't so much fun... I'm starting to feel like a gun nut :P

Took  sarmanikan to see Blue Man Group at their theater in the Monte Carlo and she had a great time x3 We're also up $60 from the casinos. Somehow. Also things that I'm not going to talk about :P

My dragoness is sweeping me off my feet and taking me on a trip to Vegas, just the two of us ^^ We're staying at the Monte Carlo. I'll be home Sunday but until then, off the radar!

Today I walked into the desert with my mate  sarmanikan, climbed a mountain and sat on an outcropping with her. She put her arm around me and we looked out over the city and landscape, and I felt truly content. A year ago on this day I was sitting in Wisconsin and trying to piece together a new life, having little to nothing of my own - and now I have a great job, a great partner, etc. The strange truth of it all is that Athus' death started a chain of events that brought me to where I am now. It's a very strange mix of emotions I get when I think about that. I didn't want to write anything here on the 11th or around it because I wasn't feeling up to it, and there wasn't much to say that Sarmy hadn't already said on her own journal anyway. I do wish I could bring him back, though.

Going to be Geocaching with Sarmy and some of my other friends, and we're going to start leaving these little scalemail flowers. The titanium rings holding the five scales together (each scale colored to represent one of us) will be blue to represent him, seeing as he was the one that brought us all together. I'll see about posting a picture of one when I can.

Seems I get to spend the 30th down here!

Yes it's on the 30th, and yes I'm so cheesy of a person that the only thing I genuinely want (besides a '74 Charger, $50,000, and 24 hours of legal immunity wrapped up in one delicious package) is to be with my mate in person for longer than the span of a vacation.

That landing was fucking awesome to behold.

Got home last night, proceeded to do unmentionable things and then get three hours of sleep before a full and overly hectic workday :P

Heading down to Phoenix to be with my  sarmanikan, won't be back until REALLY late on the 25th. Yay for being able to hug her again ^^

Flying down on the evening of the 26th to see  sarmanikan and my other friends there :) I'll be there until mid-April. I'm really looking forward to being with my love again, felt like the happiest dragon in the world the last time I visited... ^^

From what Sarmy tells me, I'll get to cook for her this time around! It's been years since I've cooked regularly (not since spending some time with my human dad, from whom I learned to cook in the first place as a kid), so I'm bound to be rusty, but it's still something I've wanted to do for her ever since falling in love with her. Hopefully she doesn't end up hating whatever I make xD

I'll be there longer than I was the last time. I'm hoping it will give us a chance to slow down a little, take our time with each other a bit more than we were able to before. If nothing else, it'll be a longer period of time to enjoy her smile and her company :) Can't wait to hug you again, hun!

The trip back here was long and felt like I was going in the wrong direction.

I originally went to Phoenix with the intent to figure out once and for all whether  sarmanikan and I could work as a couple in person. I was nervous about what her family and friends would think of me, I was nervous about visiting her workplace and having all these people that didn't know me sizing me up or whatever... XD

Pretty much nervous for nothing. I've come home feeling like I've left my heart behind in Phoenix (amongst other things...  narse, I'm pretty sure you now own a couple pairs of my socks!). I've made some new friends amongst the  baddragon crew, and I can easily say that I haven't felt more welcomed and emotionally centered anywhere else for a very long time. My only regret was having to get back on a plane after ten days.

I miss you, dearest.
