Life After AC
Posted 11 years agoBeen forever since I posted on FA.
Putting it short and simple. I got a 3rd job once I got back home from Anthrocon. Everyday I'm working at one or splitting hours between 2. So things are a bit hectic as it stands. (I'm posting from work currently because the store is dead at the moment) So, when I have time, I am working on those commissions.
Until next journal, or something

Life Update
Posted 12 years agoSo, yea. A bunch of stuff happened after AC.
For starters, my aunt kicked my out, which forced me into a local shelter. Had been in there for close to 3 weeks (July 19th - August 1st). I worked through a program which is going to get me an apartment for cheap, though it's a bit out of the way for work. But, yey, apartment sometime in the near future.
My phone had died on July 26th and it's been kaput since, I went to my service provider and asked them if they could fix it and was told no because there was too much "physical damage" to it even though it was under warranty. Having it insured, though, would have gotten me a new one, no questions asked.
My bank account was overdrawn a few times due to a error on Paypal. I was able to get it sorted out but it ended up with me with little to no money for a few days until my job paid me.
And the biggest best thing that happened so far: My mail was stolen. I had purchased a Intuos 4 tablet because my other one died. The UPS was supposed to deliver it and confirm that it was delivered to a person. THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN. The big irony was that it was delivered on July 26th, same day my phone died, while I was in the shelter. I had made the purchase for it a few days before I was actually kicked out. It was left on the porch of the apartment complex where I had been telling my aunt that a package was arriving and to be on the lookout for it. So, I contacted the seller and hoping to open up an investigation on what happened to my package, because it really seems like the driver did not do their job as they were supposed to do. There wasn't even an attempt to deliver notice. So yea...
I'm working on commissions as much as I can while I'm making the move over to the my own apartment to get life situated, all the while still maintaining my job.
TL;DR version: Lived in a shelter, phone is dead, Paypal screwed up my bank account, package was stolen, working on commissions while still working.

What's been going on with me.
Posted 12 years agoHey everyone. I recently had a journal up a while ago but pulled it down due to the drama it was creating offsite. But anyway, as of lately, I've been hopping around place to place to find a temporary/permanent place to stay, with no avail. I end up spending more money on crashing somewhere than I can save up. I am working non stop at my job to maintain it and still have a steady source of income, because my art can't become my income, since I'm the slowest artist out there.
At the moment, I have just about one week to get things together. Morphicon is happening then; the person I'm currently staying with wants me to leave by that time; my boss wants me to make a decision on whether or not I want/can stay working for the store. In any way I've been seeing it, I'm going to lose my job due to the lack of proper housing. I've been calling around as much as I can for places near my job, but to no avail. I'm hoping to hear back from the people I sent out emails to soon.
In lue of this, I have not been working on art. Until I am stable, I am unable to work on commissions, or take any more on. this factor is very stressful for me, because I do like to draw sometimes, but with the lack of happiness, there's been a tough block that's been keeping me from doing it. I'm trying my best to deliver what I can and when I can, but at the moment, I can't. And there have been quite a few of you whom I still owe commission dating back nearly a year in the making. I can't refund money at the moment, but please bear with me in the future I might be able to refund the money, or complete the commission requested.
But that's just about all that's going on so far. If anything happens, I'll post here. For the most part, I update Twitter a lot (mostly complaining about life) but that's just about it. I'm going to be uploading some works I finished a while ago. That's just about all that's been done.

Things on hold
Posted 12 years agoIt's been quite sometime since I've been on FA, so here's the update:
Life: I recently moved out of the house into an apartment with a friend. Along with moving into the apartment, I was able to transfer my job at Meijer over to a different location. In addition to that, I scored a job working night shift at a 7 Eleven 40/hr a week, Tuesday thru Saturday. With that, I've been busy working at night, sleeping during the day, and also working on the day I have off. In all actuality, I only have one day off [Monday] while working the 2 jobs. Aside from that, I've been called back at several places after applying and going through some interviews. So, I have jobs to fall on... just in case. So with working, just trying to relax. Understand that.
Art: I haven't gotten much done with art because due to the lack of interests when I'm streaming, it has made it hard for me to enjoy drawing. Also, not to mention, I don't have internet just yet in the apartment. To those who are still waiting on their commission to be done, if you don't mind waiting, I'll get to you as soon as possible. For those that have waited too long [I'm terribly sorry about the wait], should you want a refund, I will give it to you plus a bit extra for the ridiculously long wait. I'm trying to art more but with work and lack of interest, I'm slowly stepping down from being an artist [like I was much of one to begin with]. If you still wanted to commission me, just send me an email. I'm really only just
Convention: With working, I've been given time off to go to each convention listed on my page. But for the most part, I'm going to be working with the staff. That's just about it.
If you need anything, please email me at sazumw_taishimaru[at]yahoo.com AND/OR sazumeneix[at]gmail.com
The gmail is linked to my cell phone. I would get a notification if received an email

End of the year
Posted 13 years agoWell, it's the end of my convention year. And time to get really hammering down on commissions and job hunting. I will hardly ever check FA for now so if you have any questions regarding your commission, please contact my messengers on my page or send an email to my yahoo which is sazumw_taishimaru@yahoo.com. Please title it "Commission info", a link to your FA, and ref sheet and what you ordered. I've accidentally done more work than was needed on a few commissions so please help remind me what it was.
I'm fairly busy with a few commissions at the moment and hope that they are quality to what you ordered. I might have forgotten a few so if you haven't heard from me since after a convention from when you commissioned me, then chances are I have forgotten and need to be reminded. I do encourage all people that commission me to write down their information in my book AND send me a note to remind me so I can get started on a rough sketch. And I know I've done a few off script commissions so it is best to remind me.
From time to time I might be posting some art ahead of others in queue on the list of commissions. I am not trying to brush aside your art. I am only trying to get everyone at least a rough sketch of things, even if the commission is a sketch. I also might be posting some personal art, cause artists need to express themselves, right? Oh man do I have a lot of that.
But anyway, I do hope that you guys can understand this and hope that you all have a good holiday and new year.
Until next year everyone.

Home from MFF
Posted 13 years agoSo MFF was fun and whatnot. Hung out with old friends and made new friends. Best part of the con, getting into the elevator and cracking racist jokes to someone random only to realize that person would happen to be
narse
Sat in Artist's Alley one day and
bismarck came up to me with this complete look of awe on his face. "What are you doing in here?" was his response. I told him that I was drawing. "I never knew you drew G-rated things." he told me. I'm like, "What is this a G-rated room?" I really was thinking this was a joke but NOPE! There was actually a G-rated room for MFF that I unknowingly sat down in. So I moved over to another room, grabbed my guitar and played a few songs when there was nothing really going on. It was even better when I broke out "Hey, What's Going On?" on the guitar and the ENTIRE ARTIST'S ALLEY sang with me. Saw Kalya-Na there and chatted with her a bit. Hung out with a few fursuiters and just jammed it a bit with one named Diego Wolfox. Wish the con would never end but dragons have responsibilities to do. So, back to normal life and drawing arts.
Until next time.

Sat in Artist's Alley one day and

Until next time.
Will I ever have time for myself?
Posted 13 years agoBlah blah blah, dribble dribble dribble.
McDonald's interview on Sunday. And then find out when the "next" interview for that will be. Even though MFF is just around the corner. Found out today that I got shorthanded money from my paycheck for Halloween City. I only got paid for 11 of the 14.5 hours I worked before the store closed. Have to make some phone calls and yell at people.
Area Manager comes into the store, who I never met. Engaged her, and she was completely upset with my ignorance of her seeing as though she's passed by me 7 times before I finally noticed her. I'll be lucky if I can keep my job. Working again today. She might be coming in and "checking up" on everyone.
Sleeping habits are amazing[NOT]. I'm supposed to be asleep right now, but I'm writing this journal because I can't even. Might have to take the time to go see a doctor about my sleep habits because something is keeping me up and forcing me up daily. Feels not good, man.
Commissions are slow to be worked on. I've done 4 so far and sent them out to the ones that had them. I'm still doing as much as possible with work, finding more work, lack of a full nights sleep, and convention planning. STAFF AT ALL THE CONS! But yes, I'm not dead. Just "dead" tired a lot and forcing myself to get things done. One is currently in the beginning sketch phase and that involves a certain "Tree."
Do I have to do the MFF MEME?
No? Okay then, on Thursday for MFF, I'll be the very stylish guy working registration. Dressed in an all black suit and a black striped fedora. Looking to meet some new people and hang out too. Might jump into Artist Alley and do traditional badges to make some type of money back. Hoping to see friends and make new ones.
Also, please: I do what I can when I can.

Third Job and updates.
Posted 13 years agoSo, went in today for my McDonald's interview and got the job. Will be getting a call back to come in for training. I'll be waiting on the 24-hour McDonald's to give me a call as to when my interview for that one would be. But yea, work, work, work. I have 3 days to work this week. This weekend is McDonald's Training.
I've been working on commissions as much as I can with work, I've only gotten about 2 done so far. With both my sleep schedule and work hours, I'm extremely tired and try to relax when I get home. Daily, I wake up at between 4am - 5am, when I go to bed at 12am. So, not many hours of sleep, and it's starting to become a real case of potential insomnia. But with work, commissions, work, plans for MFF and work, I hardly have much time to myself. So I can hope people can understand with everything being extremely slow this month.
I'll probably upload a few older pictures that I have done, but eh... It's all I can offer for now.

So like...
Posted 13 years agoI might have inadvertently gotten a third job. Went in to a local McDonald's, talked to the assistant manager who relayed my availability to the store manager, who in turn told me to write down my name, submit an online application and wait to hear back.
McDonald's was hiring for third shift, and since Halloween City is temporary, I could use something to fall back on, while still working my first job. They were looking for 3rd shifters and people for the weekend. And if I get hired for the weekend 3rd shift, I'm fucked. Cause I'd lose a lot of sleep with Job 1 needing me in at 10am to 5pm and then McDonald's needing me 9pm to 5am. If it's money, I'll work for it. I will be checking back tomorrow after work to talk to the manager.
I'm still working on commissions, as slow as it is, because I'm basically on call with Halloween City, and my weekend job. I've sent a few of those their WIPS through notes, but I'm still working on them.
Tomorrow I get to find out if I can go to MFF or not. And that there are going to be secret shoppers in the store evaluating our product demonstrating skills.

Back from Furlaxation
Posted 13 years agoYup. Spent about 23-24 hours volunteering there and had a great time, got some commissions and played in the variety show [as usual]. But anyway, I have about a week off from work, or until my boss calls me in for work at Halloween city. Getting re-accustomed to the drama back at home but going to be hammering down on commissions. *yawns*
Aside from that, going to MFF for sure. It's essentially in a month.

That was unexpected. [1 month hiatus]
Posted 13 years agoYesterday, I went into the local Halloween City and gave the manager my application. After a brief conversation with her she said, Give me a few seconds to check the schedule." A few seconds later she comes out and says, "Yea, I'm hiring you right now. I like you and you seem to have a great personality." I will have 2 jobs starting in October. I have been working as much as I can with commissions, what with my first job and also looking for another job. Right now, I'm going to have to put everything regarding the commissions on hold today. I'm going to be going to Furlaxation to help my friend as it's his first time being in head of the convention. And then, during October, I'm going to be working weekdays and weekends. I do hope that people can understand my having to do this, but when I do have the time I would be contacting a few people in regards to the commissions and give them some information.
But yay, second job get!

It's too late for me now.
Posted 13 years agoAs you have failed to probably see, I'm posting this on advance.
I have given up on life. I'm sorry everyone, but it's too late for me now. I'll miss you all and I wish I could have been a better person.
(This journal had been updated as of February 23, 2015)
After which I will proceed to ease my suffering and become nothing more than a forgotten memory. Goodbye.

New phone and Twitter
Posted 13 years agoWell everyone I gots a new phone. It's an LG Motion 4G. It's really nice and the plan is super cheap for a lot of features. If it ever comes to you needing my number for things, please don't hesitate to ask me through any of my messenger handles on my profile or through a note.
Also, I just made me a Twitter account, though I would rarely use it, I can update everyone with the things that I'm doing, answer some questions if some should arise and throw out commission specials. I say it's generally going to be used while I'm at conventions if anyone wants to follow me. [Please?] My Twitter name is SazumeNeox [BECAUSE THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE "SAZUME"]
If anyone has a twitter just follow me, but I'm also good for texting and stuff like that. Hope to hear from anyone who wants to chat.

So fucking happy!
Posted 13 years agoI got a job. Just got a call from the person that interviewed me saying that I'm now their new worker.
Product Demonstrator for Meijer company. I'm the guy that says, "Hi, would you like to to sample some of this good shit?" and then give you a coupon or direct you to sales.
This is be my first ever job. EVER! It's so exciting and I get paid for doing the orientation to.
Commissions are still in the works.
Oh happy days. I start work on the 15th. Orientation is this Thursday.

Posted 13 years agoNothing really much to say. Just working on commissions.
Sometimes it's really hard.
Posted 13 years agoWell, today at 11am,
rezzi's grandfather passed. It's really hard to watch someone's life slowly come to a halt. The funeral is scheduled for sometime this weekend, so I'm not going to be going to IFC. I probably am going to go on a small hiatus for a bit as I try to keep my spirits up and Rezzi's spirit up too.

Stuff
Posted 13 years agoI probably might not be going to IFC. Aside from not having a ride, I would like to be here with my friend,
rezzi
Her grandfather is nearing the end of his life and the entire family has come out to visit him before he goes. At the moment, his vitals are slowly coming to a halt. His breathing is shallow and his extremities are starting to swell. The underwent a surgery last week and since then, his kidneys and liver started to fail and he just got more ill. I never got to see my mom, my great gran, and others go but I feel that me being here at least is better than not showing up at all. Although the sight of watching someone's life slowly come to a halt scares me, everyone in the family has been telling me that I've been the biggest supporter of being here.
I really don't know what else to say, but I'm going to play a few songs before he goes, because he told me that I liked my singing and the sound of me playing guitar for him.
I'll be around somewhere.

Who's going to iFC?
Posted 13 years agoI need to get a few people for making example badges for traditional artwork. If you are going to iFC please, link me a reference link of your character and I'll have something up for you for showing off at the convention. They would be Black and white on card stock and laminated.
You would receive it at the end of the convention, or you can contact me on FA and I can mail it to you.
I will open about 5 slots for now for those attending iFC for badge examples.

Update on injury
Posted 13 years agoSo recently I posted that I had cut my finger on the door at the library. Well, later that day, the bandaging that the EMS had put on my finger started to numb it due to it being fairly tight. So I had my friend,
good_dog help me take off the bandage. And much to my dismay, the bleeding had not stopped. We quickly wrapped it up and headed over to the ER at the hospital. Turns out from what the doctor told me, I had scraped well past the epidermal glands in my finger and into the nerves, which is why it would not stop bleeding. So the doctor stitched it up and sent me on my way. I have pictures, but they are fairly gross and should you be weak of the stomach, I'd advise you not clicking the links.
Once again, if you don't want to see blood, I advise not clicking the links
Taking the badage off
The cleaned up wound
The stitches
But anyway, the thumb is wrapped up and throbbing occasionally but I won't be able to draw for close to a week and a half's time. I just thought I would let everyone know the update on things.

I'm a very thoughtful person
Posted 13 years agoSo, just a few minutes ago, I went to the local library because there is no internet at where I am. There are a couple of people behind me as I enter the building, so I turned around and held the door open. I felt a quick sharpness and instant pain on my thumb. After everyone was in, I noticed a pretty well sized hole in my right thumb and blood just slowly trickling down it. Now, I'm biting my tongue as I cradle my hand and one of the people I held the door for holding the door literally says to me, "Are you coming in or what?" I say nothing and immediately go to the front desk and ask someone of a medical kit and the EMS.
So pretty much I hurt myself trying to be a thoughtful person. Because of the condition of my thumb, I cannot draw until it heals. I guess I'll be giving everyone the thumbs up wherever I go until then.
*sigh* I hate my life right now. -.-

Power and stuff
Posted 13 years agoWell, I won't be able to stream for a bit until the power at the apartment gets turned back on. Since the friend forgot to send in the bill to be paid, the power has been off and I've been basically running from an outlet outside of the room in the hallway. And just a few minutes ago someone complained about the cord plugged out there and pretty much just shut us down...
So until then.... TT^TT

Finally

As soon as I get it in, and learn how to use it, I'll get to mashing down on commissions.
Thanks you guys....gurls?
