Been a hectic last couple months for me, but I guess an update is in order. As seen from my uploads today, I had some art kicking around in queues that still had to be done, and still got some more in other queues, but art has taken a bit of a pause for me with the purchase of my first house and all the unexpected costs that go with it. But the move and settling is almost complete, though I still need to see about getting the master bathroom remodeled because it is currently carpeted and that just feels wrong to me, not to mention seeming like it is just begging for mold issues. Since TFF, I had to purchase a new car to replace the stolen truck, as much as I loved having a pickup truck, having 2 stolen in 4 years is just not worth it for me, fool me once shame on me, a second time though....
Also, finally healed up from the nerve issue I was dealing with, an MRI revealed I had a bulging disk between my C7 and T1 vertebrae that was pinching the nerve and causing the pain and degradation of use of my pinkie and ring fingers on my left hand. After giving it a month to recover and physical therapy, I am happy to say the pain is gone and I have the use of those fingers back so that is good news.

If you checked my uploads, you will see I finally got a second character, 20 years with just Shorttail and I finally saw a character I liked enough to adopt so be sure to check out Andara if a large hermaphrodite holographic dragoness sounds like something that strikes your fancy~

Other than that, not too much to report, still living the single life but doing my best in all other aspects.

Post con report, oh boy where to start. Been going through a lot on the personal side going into the convention so I was really looking forward to spending time with friends and having a relaxing weekend and in some ways I got that. For the last two weeks I have been dealing with severe nerve pain in my left arm so that was a struggle as well as the added stress of the buying process on my first house.
But getting to the con was great, a day early to get BBQ with out of town friends at Cattleack BBQ, then many fun memories and laughs with the group I attended con with. Saw some old friends as well and got some new art (coming soon) but sadly the con ended early for me when I woke up Sunday to an email saying my truck had been stolen the night before out of the parking lot. On my birthday to add salt to the wound.
So Sunday was all spent dealing with police and insurance and Onstar in attempts to locate it but at this point, I am pretty sure it is gone since the tracker cannot locate it. Additionally, today I got to finally see a neurologist for my nerve pain and have to go for an MRI because he thinks I have a slipped or bulging disc near my T3 or T4 vertebrae. So just one more thing to add to my plate to deal with and it already feels like there is too much. Hopefully I can take care of these one at a time and put it all behind me but were it not for the great time at TFF and my friends, I would be in a really bad place right now.

Aaaaaalright, as promised in celebration of hitting 2k watchers, I am holding a free art raffle for your chance to be in a picture with Shorttail! Did I mention it was free? Unlike past raffles, this raffle will have a set pose/theme but this time, there will be TWO winners! To enter, simply reply to this journal with a link to your ref sheet or a picture of your character (no text descriptions, sorry!) and chose if you would like to top Shorttail or bottom for hir because we are gonna make a Shorttail sandwich to celebrate. >;3 The always wonderful  blackbloodqueen has been very kind in agreeing to work with me on doing this raffle and both winners will receive a full resolution version of the finished picture as well as an upload version for your own galleries. Entries will close and the drawing will be done at 7pm CST January 27th 2024. (3 weeks away)

Rules: No hyper characters, no excessive number of limbs (or taur trains), and wings will probably be hidden for the picture and ferals will be made anthro or taurs, sorry! To celebrate and thank y'all for reaching 1500 watchers, I will be holding a free raffle for a two character commission with your character and Shorttail. This picture can be SFW or NSFW and you will have the choice of pose/actions that it depicts. I am fairly vanilla so I will ask that it not depict any extreme fetishes, but if you want to float an idea, feel free to ask in the comments. For example, some topics I would Not be comfortable with would be: Vore, Hyper, Watersports, Gore, or NSFW underage characters.

How This Will Work


The picture will be a two character Iron Artist Tier commission from  araivis-edelveys (Example) and the entry is free, all you have to do is leave a comment to this journal and I will reply to you, assigning you a number. The winning number will be selected by a random number generator on May 20th at 6PM CDT. In order to win, you must be watching my account and only one entry per person. The winner will have one week from the end of the raffle to note me or send a telegram message with their pose/picture idea and provide picture refs or a Detailed typed character description or a new winner will be selected. If I am uncomfortable with the suggested idea, we will try to work out an agreeable scene, but ultimately, it is my character and I will have final say but I am sure we can work it out. I noticed I reached 1500 watchers and wanted to say a big thank you to everyone for following, faving and commenting on the art I commission, it really means a lot to me that so many have expressed how much they enjoy Shorttail. I am planning on doing a follow up journal to this one to offer the same raffle I did when I hit 1000 watchers, a free 2 character commission with Shorttail, winner to be drawn using a random number generator and the winner picking the pose and theme of the commission. (I do reserve the right to decline some topics, pretty much only things that neither Shorttail nor I are into such as vore or watersports) As mentioned, the pose would be chosen by the winner and can be SFW or NSFW. Currently, I am reaching out to artists to secure a slot and once that is accomplished, I will make a journal opening up the raffle for 2 weeks so stay tuned!
