After nearly 4 weeks, my AC is finally got fixed! They ended up having to replace the entire condenser (big box unit that sits outside) and my house is finally below 85 during the day for the first time in a month.

Now that I don't stick to my tablet when I draw, I'll be able to get through my queue much faster.

My AC broke Friday night. It's been hot as balls here, so it was less than pleasant. Someone managed to get it temporarily working on Monday, but it keeps going in and out throughout the day. We are currently in the process of getting a new unit. Unfortunately, since we can't afford to outright pay for one, we are having to go through our home warranty to get it replaced.

Why is this bad? There is a waitlist for new ACs so long that they cannot even give us an estimate on how long it will take.

The weather is currently hovering around 100F +/- 5F and shows no sign of cooling off anytime soon. I'm mostly just too fucking hot to draw even when I can keep my computer on. Traditional doesn't really work since I'm pouring sweat.

TL;DR: The sun is trying to kill me, art will be slow. I apologize to anyone waiting on art, but I will get it done!

but yeah, got back into Final Fantasy XIV for Heavensward only to realize I hadn't finished the Realm Reborn content, so I've been going through that as well. I play on Ultros if anyone wants to do stuff.

on the art front, I've been working on a big illustration with a detailed background, really trying to push myself with this one. I also learned a new skill: building backgrounds in SketchUp! It certainly has made things much easier after I got the hang of it.

I was planning on doing an intro journal at 50 watchers but it looks like I missed it by just a tad!

Anyway, I'm shushup! You can call me shush. It comes from the Japanese name of the pokemon Spritzee. I am a largely self-taught artist, and I use Manga Studio 5 and an Intuos Pen and Touch for my art. If you ever have any questions about my process or art, feel free to ask or note me! I really love Pokemon, dragons and hooved critters, especially in porn. I'm not terribly chatty in journals, but I will respond to any comments and notes sent to me. Also I have a separate blank account that I use to watch and comment from, which is why I'm not watching or faving things over here just yet.
