Hey, everybody. It's pretty sad times, right? I'm kind of bad at this kind of stuff, especially since I try really hard to make the fandom my happy place. Positive vibes only, you know? But I would feel awful not saying anything about Dragoneer. I'm not eloquent enough to properly eulogize him, and I didn't know him personally beyond a few brief interactions, but I'm forever in his debt for revitalizing and maintaining this place.

I've been here just about forever, and FA is really special to me. That includes all y'all, too, since I would otherwise just be posting into the void. I guess I just wanted to make sure you all know how much I treasure every little interaction we have. Thank you always for all the comments. If ever anybody in my cast has felt real to you, made you smile, or even just supplied some horny energy for a bit, it means the world to me.

I don't know what the future holds, and I'm more than a little terrified that this might all go away. I desperately hope that it can keep rolling on, that we can keep interacting, and that my little gallery can remain a tiny bit of warm, friendly light in a difficult world. If that should not happen to be in the cards, I wouldn't want to go out without you all knowing how I felt. <3

Yep, turns out I'm at TFF this year! I'm hanging around the excellent  Caedere and  Valsalia, but I don't really have much of an agenda beyond that.

Hey there, everyone!

After an even longer day of travel, I'm finally back home. I spent most of my time in Singapore working, but I was able to spend the evenings wandering about and having some truly excellent food. I'm exhausted and jet lagged, and it seems simultaneously like ages ago and just a few moments ago that I was strolling through a hawker center in Chinatown and being enchanted by all of the cooking smells.

I'm glad I went, but I'm even more glad to be back home. I have some posting to catch up on, too!

Okay, I only thought the flight from LAX to Tokyo was rough. The San Francisco to Singapore route has it beat by five hours, and my legs may never feel normal again.

Anyway! I'm out here on business this time, but I ought to be able to get in at least a little food tourism before I have to head back. I'm still reachable, but on a much different time zone than usual, so there will be a delay.

Hey again, everyone!

After another super long day of travel, I've returned from Japan! I'm still a bit jet lagged, but I'll get by. I hope you all had fun while I was gone!

Japan was a crazy good time, and the food was completely out of this world. I'm glad to be home, though! I've been a desert rat my whole life, and I'm pretty dang uncomfortable with being in a place where there's that much moisture in the air.

All of the Japanese language study did turn out to be helpful. I was able to fumble my way through basic interactions with people, and navigate well enough. Interestingly, I found that the most useful bit by far was being able to read katakana. I get the feeling that, even if I couldn't also read hiragana and some very modest kanji, and if I couldn't speak or understand the language at all, just having katakana would have gotten me pretty far. Being able to pick the loan words out of sentences on signs and product labels is huge, and you can generally get most of the rest of it from context.

Anyway, it was a blast, but it's good to be back!

After the longest day that I've had in a really long time, I've arrived in Japan! I'll be here for a little bit under two weeks for a bit of a vacation adventure. I'm still around and still reachable, but there will probably be a pretty healthy delay before I can respond to any messages.

This will be a quick one. I have to get up early in the morning to catch a plane back home, I'm writing this from my phone, and I'm sure you all don't need a novel from me anyway. ^_~

2016 has been a rocky year for a lot of folks, and my heart goes out to all my friends out there who have experienced hardship. Please keep on trucking.

Politics in my country aside, things are working out pretty okay for me. I bought my first home just two weeks ago, and I'm being promoted into my boss's position when he leaves the company in January. He has some big shoes to fill, and I'm a little scared, but I'm ready for the challenge.

I'm hoping to be able to turn my commissioning rate back up in the new year, now that I'm no longer saving for a house. Thank you to everyone who has stuck around to watch my silly little gallery this long, and here's hoping we all continue to have lots of fun with it in 2017. You guys rock. <3

Hey, everybody! I just reset my password after the security audit, and I'm back in business. A great big welcome back to all of you, as well!

I'm sure there'll be lots of drama about the recent outages, but you won't find any here. I'm just glad to be able to use the site again and share lots of fun art with you guys. Come and celebrate with me! What did you guys do during the outage? I just finished Chronos on my Oculus Rift CV1, at level 57 age 54. Not too shabby, I think!

Speaking of which, what's the deal with my posting rate lately? Don't worry, I'm not losing interest in the fandom, but I am diverting some of my funds towards saving up for a down payment for a house! I've finally gotten tired of my little apartment, cozy though it might be, and I've been squirreling money away since January of this year. I want to save up for a full 20% down payment before I buy, so it'll take me a bit to get there. In the meantime, I'm having so reduce some of my spending to help save up, and that means lowering my commission rate a little bit. Don't worry, though, I couldn't bring myself to stop! In fact, I have one lovely piece that I'll be putting up soon. As always, I have several active commissions in the works, too.

I'm thrilled to announce that I rolled over to 5,000 watchers this morning! I know that hardly holds a candle to some of the big names around here, but it's certainly far more than I ever expected would be interested enough in my cast.

I saw Zootopia last night, of course, and it was completely awesome, of course. Not that any of you need my recommendation, but it's a great film that's worth a watch. I bet you'd enjoy it!

It's funny... I'm fond of saying that I don't really identify as a furry, but it would be awfully hard to deny that I am one. I have a job and plenty of hobbies that are outside of the fandom, and it isn't something about me that my non-fandom friends even know about, though I clearly do enjoy the heck out of the fandom, and I spend a lot of time and money on it.

Anyway, it's easy to be in a sort of quasi-denial about it all, but then I go and see Zootopia, and the credits sequence grips me with the thought of "good lord, Gazelle is hot as hell. Look at those hips!" Whoops, turns out animal people are sexy! Caught myself being a furry, I guess. ^_~

What do you guys think? Do any of you have my same weird relationship with the fandom? "Oh, I'm not a furry, I've just gone to two conventions and I spend silly amounts of money commissioning pictures of the cast of anthros and quadrupeds I've dreamed up personalities for in my spare time." Have you ever been hit in the head with a reminder that you're a furry after all? Maybe that Orangina commercial from a while back? Tell me stories!

Hey, gang!

It took quite a while to sort 650 submissions, but my entire gallery is now categorized by character. We've got one folder for everyone in my cast, plus one for guests. Have a look if you like, and if you find my folders helpful, I'd love to hear about it! I plan to update the description text now and then when I'm feeling inspired, so it's pretty sparse right now.

I really dig the folder implementation FA went with! Ever since they started talking about folders, I was really worried that they would either do away with the main gallery view, or they would make it so that a submission could only be in one folder, excluding either the main gallery or other applicable folders. It's great to be able to categorize submissions, but it would have been a huge bummer to lose the ability to just go through someone's whole gallery by submission date.

It's like Gmail's labels system, honestly, which is pretty neat. What do you guys think? ^^

My primary PC developed this bug a couple days ago, but my phone isn't doing it and nobody else seems to be complaining. Has anyone ever seen this before? It's a new one on me! It just happened between refreshes.

I've already ctrl-F5-ed and cleared my browser's cache. I'm running ABP, but it's disabled for FA.

Otherwise, how's everybody doing out there? Any big weekend plans? ^^

I'm preparing to fire up another commission with someone, and I thought I'd have a little fun with the idea! This is an opportunity for someone out there to have their character be part of an adult piece with Slither. Did I mention that I'll be paying the full cost? That means we're in a Free Porn Situation, folks! Hold on to your hats and prepare for a barrage of creepy suggestions! ^_~

If you would like to see your character getting busy with Slither, please comment here with a description of your idea and at least one visual reference suitable for providing to an artist. I will wait up to a couple of days, and if there is an especially awesome idea, I may select it and work with you and an artist to see it created! ^^

I'm doing this for the fun of it! I want to find and select an awesome idea, but I reserve the right to not pick an idea at all if none suggested appeal to me, and I reserve the right to call the whole thing off at any time if you end up making the process not fun. So don't be a jerk. ^^

Who Can Propose Ideas?
Any adult with an FA account who was watching me at the time this journal was posted. No complaining allowed if I pick somebody I know, though. ^_~ The goal here is not to get more watchers, but to have some fun with my friends and fans present and from years past, so please don't go around signal boosting this journal or anything like that.

What Characters Can Be Proposed?
Qualified applicants will be:
--Adult, quadruped non-anthros.
--Your original character. No characters from games, movies, books, or commercial works (like Toothless), and no characters belonging to other people.
--Female or male! That's right, all you gay and bi dragons out there. This is a rare chance to hump on Slither!
--Not a spider. :X
--Not hyper.

How Can I Improve My Idea's Chances?
--Appeal to my interests! If you've been watching me for a while, you most likely have a pretty good idea of what sorts of scenes and subjects I like. I'm much more likely to pick an idea that sounds fun to me.
--Appeal to the character! Slither has his preferences, and is much more likely to get with somebody he's interested in.
--Amuse me by foiling Slither! You may have noticed that Slither doesn't always get what he goes after in adult situations. If his efforts are foiled in an amusing way, it's more likely to get my attention. This is an excellent path for interested male characters to get a piece of Slither. ^_~
--Suggest a female in any pose or suggest a male giving it to Slither! Slither chases after the ladies, and is unlikely to be on top should he get wrangled by a horny fellow.
--Suggest a dragon or avian! You can totally still be selected without doing this, but you'll have to work harder.
--Take your time! My gallery is full of pictures with usually very short little stories attached to them, since I love that sort of thing. I'm much more likely to go with a fun description of the action and how it came to pass.
--Be a cool person! I'm allowed to play favorites here. ^_~ People who are articulate and friendly are much more likely to be selected. Don't be a jerk to other commenters! D: Rabblerousers and bullies will be disqualified.
--Don't be weird! I'm highly unlikely to pick anything involving a kink that has never been glimpsed in my gallery before.

What Should I Include?
Mandatory: A visual reference of your character sufficient to let an artist draw it. A brief description of the action.
Optional: Suggestions for the artist to work with. A more detailed description (no more than a few paragraphs, please, and no RPing at me). Extra visual references. A brief written reference for personality or important features.

Fine Print
I reserve the right to not make a selection at all. I will pay the full amount of the commission fee, which gives me lots of authority over the process. If I select your idea, I will work with you in private to develop and finalize the idea. Once you sign off on it, I will shop the idea around with some artists and see if I can get a slot with any of them. To be part of this, you must consent to me being the sole point of contact with the artist, which includes giving me permission to use your character in the piece. I will involve you in the process as much as I can, and I promise to be as faithful as possible to the idea we agreed on. I do not torture artists with countless revision requests, so your ability to request changes to the piece will be limited to what I consider reasonable. You must give your consent to make this a public piece, with you, the artist, and me having permission to post the piece in our galleries, both on FA and abroad. You must agree to be bound by the artist's TOS, should they have any. Regardless, the artist will retain the ability to profit from their work, including selling prints and using the piece in their advertising materials.

Hey, everybody! I feel like having some positive feelings up in here! :D I know FC is just wrapping up, but does anybody have anything fun coming up this year that they're looking forward to? Are you commissioning anybody for a piece you're really excited about? Tell me a story about it!

In a couple of months, I'm flying out to an island to visit my folks. It's pretty much paradise out there, and I'm super excited to see them again, get away from this cold weather, and have way too much rum and seafood.

Hooray, we're live! It's great to see you guys again. <3 How did you all spend your surprise FA vacation? I came down with some really awful food poisoning and missed a bunch of work, so I hope you all have some better stories than I do!
