Alright so thought I'd check in and STUFF. There's a few things I want to talk about.
COMMISSIONS!
My commission list is about done, been working out some details with my last client gonna knock that out soon, then go onto the secondary list and see if folk there are still interested in buying from me and if so, if they still want the same thing. Sorry it's all taken so long, to be honest learning to do this as a job has been a lot more work than I expected and there's a lot of balls that need juggling. But thankfully I'm getting on top of it and the next time I open up my list, I'm gonna make sure things are done in a more timely manner.
Streams?
I stream semi-regularly to help make rent between commissions, this takes place here: https://piczel.tv/watch/SmallerGod and is currently the fastest way to get a commission from me. I'll throw up a stream, take some work, do it, and it's done. Typically these pictures are sketches or lineart. So if you're aching for some Jenny work, it'll be there~

Let's Talk Delays (CW: self harm)
Posted a year agoHey there, it's been a long time coming but I thought I should finally put out a journal regarding well, everything.
Mostly the delays to my commission list.
About ten months ago I started having some pretty severe mental illness symptoms. These were periodic, akin to panic attacks just with a little more self harm. Due to the sensitive nature of the attacks I've been hesitant to talk about them but, well this is a business of sorts! So folk deserve an explanation.
With the help of regular appointments with a therapist and doctor I've got a lot more things I can do to head off these attacks, but it was ultimately decided that my antidepressant (Lexapro) wasn't doing the job it should be doing and that I should switch it out. And that's sort of what I've been dealing with for the past four or so months. My doctor rapidly takes me off of one antidepressant, puts me on another and we see if it helps manage my symptoms, both lesser and greater.
So I haven't done as much work on my commission list as I might like. That said, everyone who's paid me something has received something so far, and I fully intend to finish the remaining pieces. If you have paid for something and I haven't delivered and you'd like a refund, you're entitled to that.
I've been doing more work on streams, because they're a little easier on my brain. Log into the stream, take the commission, do the commission, log out. But like I said, I fully intend to finish the list. There's a lot of good stuff there. So long as people are okay with waiting a little longer.
I've started getting used to drawing under these conditions, so that should help in the long run. If anyone has any questions at all, feel free to shoot me a note <3

Thinking of doing Pokemon Themed Streams???
Posted a year agoSo before anyone asks I'm still workin' on that commission list. Got a few down and a few in progress. The list is definitely my longer form thing. While I recover from the medication switch and mental crap I'm going through (journal incoming on that I guess?) I find streams easier to swallow. But aside from that...
What do you think of pokemon streams?! I know mystery dungeon just got released or re-released or is about to be re-released and I know
Garuda_six is doing Mystery Dungeon themed commissions so I wouldn't necessarily wanna step on his toes cause he's amazing and y'all should definitely try and get one!
But Just like, pokemon themed stream commissions in general! Got a pokemon character you wanna roll out? Now's your chance!
I'd make them different, instead of first come first served, I'd do 2-3 a stream and the client would be picked at random from a list of folk who were in the stream and wanted a commission. That way if you're not there first, you still have a chance, yeah?
I'd probably make 'em flats cause you *gotta* see them poke-colours.

Dragoneer and FurAffinity
Posted a year agoSorry it took me so long to write this journal. It's hard to write about things like this.
I mean holy fuck where do you start? Rest in Peace Dragoneer.
To me Dragoneer was always this larger than life figure. The head of FA. He visited my streams when I was starting out as an artist and yeah, I was intimidated. But it also felt welcoming. As I remember this person I think that's the thing I feel the most. He made this site welcoming. And without this website, so many of us wouldn't be who and where we are today. That's so important, that legacy.
For me and many, Furaffinity was where we learned it was okay to have a different gender identity. Growing up in the 90s, trans people were the butt of sitcom jokes, they weren't real people. Not as far as the media were concerned. I met my first trans person online, on Furaffinity. I realised I was was trans. And contrary to the popular media of the time, I realised that was okay. I realised, alongside so many other people, that fetishes were a thing and it was okay to have them. Not only could we like fat furry art and stories, but we could celebrate that fact. We could create art together!
All because of FurAffinity.
And some people might not like some policies. But I'm constantly glad that I'm an artist here. Why? Because alongside his admin team Dragoneer made sure that FA was a stable place to be. He even pushed out the nazis when they tried to make the fandom their home. Could you imagine FA, could you imagine the furry fandom if he hadn't? If every second post about trans people on FurAffinity was some nazi being a bigot? Thank God that didn't happen. Thank God Dragoneer took a stand when he did. Thank God for Furaffinity and Thank God for Dragoneer.
If you believe. I don't really. But I have to thank someone.

I'm on those sleepy time meds
Posted a year agoAlright so here's as good a place to say this as any.
I've been having trouble with my mental health, a lot of trouble. I have trouble knowing when to know when it's time to be worried, but all of the folk around me were worried so that meant it was time to try and find a way forward.
So Doc is taking me off of a rather large dosage of lexapro. I've had some issues with that, which meant the doc's put me on the Jenny's sedation sleepy time meds. Yesterday I was awake for a total of four hours. I'm expecting this number to increase.
Fringles are crossed that things will return to business as usual in a few weeks, but with a happier, healthier Jenny.
If you're looking to help out, I accept shinies and ko-fi and both are dearly helpful <3
Until then I'm gonna be a slow, tired, sleepy creture <3
