Posted 12 years agoAlrighty, so due to his pay raise and with the money that you guys helped me raise, my boyfriend is now all set to stay here! I cant thank you all enough! BIG CROC KISSES FOR ALL OF YOU.
As for another thingu, Im going to be changing up my commission prices a tad. I will be going by an hourly rate. It will be $5 for each fifteen minutes, which is $20 an hour. This way, when you want to get something that isnt flat rate, you could maybe be getting something for cheaper. More bang for your buck!
I'll be using a timer and will be streaming all commissions from now on to guarantee that I'm not lying to you, and so you can see what I'm doing as well! And you know the whole pause when Im goofing around etc etc, I have a good system down~
Flat rates for badges, icons, ref sheets and doodle derps will still be in place, but only offered through special journals or something.
Also auctions. Yes.

Posted 12 years agoOverall I'm feeling a bit better about my style "dilemma". There were some good points posed, and some not so good. For example a lot of people were saying that being varied is good since you can draw you know...in a variety of styles. Now, some people said drawing too varied can lead people confused as to what the fuck are you doing you crazy omg.
That being said, it's really difficult to try and find a proper style without being "original". Everyone is influenced by others, so reffing off of other people's styles IS OKAY but copying is not. I'm not sure how to really explain it? Like, I ref off of certain people for anatomy or for a certain pose (HAH BECAUSE I DRAW SO MANY POSES AMIRITE....GUYS....GAIS.) But um...yeah.
Same with coloring styles and such. For example, for cell shading and hard lines i ref off of squeedge, BUT when I do that i draw like squeedge, not ink and color like her. That's the real problem.
When I get a ref sheet from someone for me to draw for them I always seem to like....incorporate the style of the ref sheet JUST A LITTLE BIT since that is what I'm drawing, you know? Commissions are basically when one person pays you to interpret their character in YOUR style....idk..

I have no consistency and even when I try to find a style for ME MYSELF to stick to, I honestly go and ref off of other's styles, such as Squeedge, Hoot or someone else or whatever.
I'm honestly shocked that some of you guys commission me when I can't draw the same thing twice LOL.
As for the two people I owe, I'll be getting yours done eventually. If you'd like a refund that's totally fine.

Rawrgimmeahug, aka Beka or something, has sTOLEN HINA ARTS HALP. DIS MUST STAHP!!! Reason for all the vent art [long]
Posted 13 years agoLooking through my gallery you can see four pieces that are all baw. These have been in the span of 2 weeks. I’m sorry to all of my friends that were like “omg let me help you” or “talk to me” and I just blew them off. These two weeks, well…month really, has been probably the most stress I have ever dealt with in a long time since 5909XIII (that’s a date and a number).
Finals happened, which was honestly not stressful, only real stressful part was taking the government final. Now, my dad made a proposition for me that if I got a 3.0, he would allow my boyfriend to fly out here fot this concert thing in February and then out again in May for prom. But…if I got a 3.2, he offered to pay for all of it. Now, that being said he literally said this TWO WEEKS before finals so I was kind of like WELP –stress-. I studied a little bit and such, enough to pass in order to get a 3.0 which is easy, but anything above that be difficult since I have some learning difficulties…along with professional procrastination. So there’s that.
Mostly that.
Then there is the stress that my parents are giving me to become more social. I have explained time and time again that I would be IF I HAD ANY FRIENDS WHO LIVED IN MY AREA AND NOT 45 MINUTES AWAY FROM MY HOUSE. This leads to me being in my room all the time talking to my online friends. I am actually fairly social around strangers, it’s just my family makes me feel awkward since I can’t act as myself TRULY around them (brother maybe since I swear a fuck ton). For example, college visit, meet up with a friend I met online since he goes to that college, I’m all awkward then mom leaves to go home and I stay for an overnight and then my friend and I just talk and act normally, taking goofy pictures and poking each other’s faces.
So there’s that too.
Back to the main issue of the 3.2. I got into my top college, I got a scholarship that will literally pay for AN ENTIRE YEAR of college. I am stressing out to make money in case I DON’T get this GPA. I have told Leland (bf) not to worry about it and he’s all fine and dandy I guess, but I literally have no idea what my grades are now. Dad tells me to relax “you can’t worry about something you can’t change”. The website that shows my grades is deactivated due to the last minute grades to be put in by teachers, which frankly is ironic since I took my finals a good 3 weeks ago…I think…and most of the tests were multiple choice on those scan-tron sheets, Anyway.
Final thing that’s somewhat personal is my whole anxiety fuckwad over how my parents will think of Leland. Honestly I don’t care what they think she he is MY boyfriend and they can’t judge someone literally BASED ON THE FACT THAT HE GOES TO A COMMUNITY COLLEGE. And how they judge him on how we play XBOX together a lot and according to them it’s “all he does” which is not true. At all.
Constant questions ramble throughout my mind. “What will Leland think if I don’t get a 3.2? I rpomised him it would be okay. HE promised everything would be okay. Will he be mad? Will he be disappointed? Will we break up because of it?” I also snap at my parents/family in general since I just want to get away to college. Just be on my own, be my own /PERSON/.
I also have a lot of commissions to do…which…isn’t bad, just a stress relief really kinda, unless you are not decisive AT ALL and cant figure out want you want AT ALL, then that really stresses me out since I have to do it ALL OVER AGAIN which I can’t move on with my queue. Plus, I am taking a lot due to my constant need for money since I feel as if I will run out or something idek.
So that’s kinda it…mmm

Dad tells me to relax “you can’t worry about something you can’t change”. The website that shows my grades is deactivated due to the last minute grades to be put in by teachers, which frankly is ironic since I took my finals a good 3 weeks ago…I think…and most of the tests were multiple choice on those scan-tron sheets, Anyway.
Final thing that’s somewhat personal is my whole anxiety fuckwad over how my parents will think of Leland. Honestly I don’t care what they think she he is MY boyfriend and they can’t judge someone literally BASED ON THE FACT THAT HE GOES TO A COMMUNITY COLLEGE. And how they judge him on how we play XBOX together a lot and according to them it’s “all he does” which is not true. At all.
Constant questions ramble throughout my mind. “What will Leland think if I don’t get a 3.2? I rpomised him it would be okay. HE promised everything would be okay. Will he be mad? Will he be disappointed? Will we break up because of it?” I also snap at my parents/family in general since I just want to get away to college. Just be on my own, be my own /PERSON/.
I also have a lot of commissions to do…which…isn’t bad, just a stress relief really kinda, unless you are not decisive AT ALL and cant figure out want you want AT ALL, then that really stresses me out since I have to do it ALL OVER AGAIN which I can’t move on with my queue. Plus, I am taking a lot due to my constant need for money since I feel as if I will run out or something idek.
So that’s kinda it…mmm

but it's not intentional?
Like...urg, I was on the front page and I saw this https://www.furaffinity.net/view/9422344/ and I almost had a heart attack.
I thought "holy hgng they ripped off serva wtf"
But then I went to her gallery (I don't even watch her) and see that her sona...I think it's her sona, looks like the new Serva, cept' she's had hers for a LOOOOONG TIIMMMEEE.
I feel really bad since I don't want any drama to spark because I don't even know who she is until suddenly WELL HAI THUR.
I don't want to change Serva either since right now she is perfect. I just...I feel so bad. I tried making Serva more monstery by giving her those big ol' claws and such as well as trying to make her flow better by ridding her heavy plated croc tail to a more sleek gecko pudgy one.
Similarities between the two:
-Both have "black and white" striped tail (serva used to have a poof at the end but it's gone now)
-Both have monster claws with the darker fur forearm
-Both have a wiggly jaw (I've had mine 5ever tho)
-Both have darker furred ears with a spot on the back
-Both have hawky styled hair (though...I don't think that really matters)
-Both have the same color palette of faded browns/ bright green
-BOTH OF US ARE 17 AAAAAAAAAAAAAA MY GOOOODDDDD
I'm just really sad and I don't want anything bad to happen where one of us is forced to change our identities or whatnot.
She joined FA in Feb of '12 and I joined it June 11'
The first time I introduced Serva's new greyer palette was https://www.furaffinity.net/view/7730919/, being 8 months ago. But who knows, maybe I'm wrong and she had an older FA account.
