I had created another account here in an attempt for a fresh start. Nothing had happened but I just felt like I wasn’t really getting anywhere on this account anymore. I’m definitely more active on my new Twitter earthtomarrz
In an attempt to not have a breakdown I’m gonna keep this pretty blunt and short. My husband passed away suddenly in January. I’ve been struggling which honestly is an understatement. I moved back home with my parents. I’ve questioned everything. Why him? Why me? What is this punishment for? It’s all really really hard. Both of us are young. I shouldn’t be a widow at 27 and he shouldn’t be gone at 30. There’s so much I’ve had to navigate and things I have had to take care of myself because I was his wife so I have to get all the info etc. and it can get really heavy really quick. It’s been a slow process and on top of it all, a major identity crisis. We were together for almost 10 years married for almost 1… I have to relearn how to exist “on my own” I miss him every second of the day. He was my soulmate, my twin flame. I know he’s still with me each day, just in a different way- I know he’s around. I’d still do anything to get one more hug, one more kiss, and one more “I love you”

Losing My Current Job
General | Posted 5 years agoHey guys! This past Wednesday I found out that the store I currently work at will be closing ALL US locations (358 stores) before the end of the year.
We took an extra hard hit during covid (even though we were essential) and couldn't make a comeback big enough. It's a real bummer, I loved my job a lot.
I'm working on trying to find another HOWEVER, that can be quite a process, SO, as of now, my commissions of all kinds are open!!
I'm really working towards a goal of $500 to pay off my credit card bill so my remaining paychecks can go into my savings!!
I love designing characters, working on ref sheets, and chibis are probably my favorites! If you're interested please feel free to message me on either:

My hours at work might pick up again for a bit since the second new manager has now quit on us... but I could still use some help until I'm able to potentially pick up a second job

General | Posted 5 years agoHey guys it’s been a while! As we all know 2020 has been absolutely wild and unpredictable.
On top of everything going on in the world and working, I’ve also started school! My first semester ends tonight after I take my final and I will have a short break between now and the beginning of the fall semester! During this break I plan to wrap up owed art and POSSIBLY take a few quick turn around commissions when work isn’t too crazy so I can afford my books and materials.
I plan on uploading some more art soon as well!
I’ve also been working on the sleepyheads again!! I’m super excited to bring them back!
Life has been quite the journey lately, I hope everyone is staying safe and well! Thank y’all for sticking around even though the radio silence lately. (I am a bit more active on Twitter so you can always reach out to me there!)

General | Posted 6 years agoSorry I've been so quiet! Work just absolutely wears me out.
And I've been working... a lot. For a 'part time' job, I'm working near full time hours (close to 40hr/week)
And it takes ALL my energy. I've also been dealing with some health stuff that I'm having a hard time combating.
Nothing awful. I'm okay. I just need to make some changes.
HOWEVER. I've also been quiet because I've been traveling a lot, NOW I'm able to work on art WHILE I travel so hopefully I can start posting on a more regular basis!
My commissions are still currently closed, but I have some art in my back long to upload.
I've got a big sticker set to work on and once those are completed I hope to open up commissions again!
In the mean time I still have lots of adopts and characters that need more love than they get from me for sale!

Since moving I had to go get a new license, register my car, get new license plates yadda yadda.
THAT'S HECKIN EXPENSIVE. I don't recommend this whole adulting thing.

THE SLEEPYHEADS ARE COMING BACK!
For those of you who don't know or remember- the sleepyheads are my species that I created a while back.
Sleepyheads are plush creatures who have blankets for tails and defend us from our nightmares!
I've been working a lot on their world and traits and working on making them much more interactive community-wise and I'm excited to get them ready for a re-release!
For now they are a closed species- once I get everything tidied up I would love to potentially have them at least semi-open!

Does anyone know how to get rid of the black background on transparent images?
I hadn't had this issue when I was uploading from my old mac, so I'm assuming that it has to do with how the file is being saved and then uploaded.
I just don't like how it looks when you pull up the full size image, it's not supposed to be there and it's annoying.
Some updates!
We HAVE indeed made the big move! It's been just over two weeks, big cat started his job about a week ago and he seems to be enjoying it so far!
HUGE thanks to everyone that helped me save up money for the fees and such it was a MASSIVE help!!
I'm still in the process of looking for a daytime job- have an interview set up for tomorrow, unsure of where it will go.
We are still in the process of unpacking/organizing/setting things up but I'm set up enough to work on art! I have a couple things left on my preexisting list, but I AM open for commissions right now!
Since I haven't had a job come through yet art is currently my "full time" job between finishing unpacking and applying to what seems like a million different places. My mother in law is visiting on Friday both to see the new place but also take a few small things she loaned to us for the move so I have to work on getting the place at least presentable. (Even though we have no where to sit downstairs lol)
Anywho! I'm here! I'm getting stuff done, and I'm open for commissions!

I'm sure y'all are aware how pricey moving can be (especially a few states away!)
On top of first month's rent & fees we will have to rent a truck & trailer!
While we don't really have too much to move and are in the process of cleaning things out, the truck rental is gonna be a bit pricey!
I'd like to do what I can to help with the costs and fees.
Right now my goal is at least $500 to cover the initial pet fee. My stretch goal is $1000 to cover about half of the rent + fees!

but BOTH of my jobs have cut hours severely and that makes me really uncomfortable income wise.
HOWEVER- this gives me more time to do art and stream!

General | Posted 7 years agoOkay this past week has been a real doozie but I'm finally rested up and ready to work on art again!
I worked sunday-thursday doing a lot of box moving and stocking and lifting and I was pooped
BUT I SURVIVED THE THANKSGIVING DAY RUSH, holy cow it was wild.
This up coming week I have a couple of days off while prodistraction is still doing classes and stuff SO.
I'm hoping to use this time to crank out the last few things on my to do list.
After my to do list is complete I'll only be opening occasionally for commissions so you'll have to keep your eyes on the journals and maybe a few stream announcements if I get the chance.
December is going to be quite busy for me as my job at the studio is going to pick up after one of my coworkers quit
I'm honestly so close to quitting as well for similar reasons
And we only have 4 people working at our location, not including a new hire (who only was hired because we were desperate apparently) and is only on the schedule twice.
Honestly he should be assisting way more than he is but... our boss won't listen so...
BUT THAT'S A STORY FOR ANOTHER DAY.
tldr; I had a long as heck and tiring week but I'm back. Gonna be finishing to do list. Only occasional commission slots will be available in the near future until further notice!

We've been looking around for groups to either join or start one up!

I'm a little bit emotional today because big plans are being discussed and made for myself and Prodistraction.
Nothing bad! Actually, something very exciting!
I'm planning on making a move half way across the country to live with him THIS WINTER.
It's a huge step and a huge change for me.
I've never been out of Texas besides visiting other places.
Now I'm straight up MOVING nearly 1,000 miles away from home. It's going to be a huge adjustment.
No friends there, no relatives (besides his family of course)..
Anyway, I'm looking for advice?
I'm someone who can get homesick pretty easily which makes me nervous about this move.
Saying yes to moving in with him was easy, without a second thought. I just haven't found my ways of coping with change.
I've never left home like this before. I wish more than anything I could be in two places at one time.
I know there are people out there who have done this, what kind of advice do you have for someone who's never done this before, who is very much a homebody, gets homesick?
I feel once things are settled and I have a job and I get busy I'll be okay and the adjustment will happen a little quicker..
but the advice and any insight is still much needed and VERY appreciated.
