Hello, everyone. First, I'd like to thank you all for following me. I don't really have any original work to which one may subscribe but you wanted to be connected to me anyway. I appreciate that ^_^

As a Lapist, I'm no stranger to making changes in my life for the better. It just so happens actually, that I'm making an even bigger change than to my philosophy- I'm in the process of transitioning to female! That's right, I'm seeing medical professionals on a regular basis and taking a daily regimen to start me on that path. To reflect this change, I've created a new profile on FA and even re-invented my identity as a Lapist.

My new name is Valerian Soulsearcher Rabbit. I chose this middle name after it was given to me by someone very close to me. By accepting and keeping it I have embraced it's meaning- I'm always looking inward to find them best 'me' I can find and bring it out for the betterment of myself and those around me. I also plan to begin schooling soon to become a therapist/counselor so I can help bring out the best in others as well! I'll help people search their own souls for peace & clarity. I plan to put this to good use in the Gender Identity field.

I chose Valerian because I like the sound of it, and it also closely resembles my new name: Valerie. Valerian root is also used as a calming agent to treat anxiety or insomnia as a sedative. I like to think I have a calming effect on people.
