Yay FA is back up whoo!
Firstly, I just got noted a Let's Play of our demo by user
ZeroBeatsBlue. We both had a few laughs and figured others may enjoy the video/for those who haven't had a chance to play the demo themselves for various reasons.
Click here to check it out.
Relative to Amorous, we became very excited/motivated upon seeing the
Patreon for the game receive a substantial boost in support after the demo release. Things such as getting a Unity Pro License for better features, taking more time away from work to get the game updated faster and hiring more staff was already on the table as a result. I recently purchased a license for an animation program titled
Spine thanks to recommendations by you guys in the previous journal. While the pro license is expensive ($289 bucks) we've done some testing and it's a great improvement from our old method. This means an eventual beat 'em up after Amorous is far more likely now.
Anywho, what's unfortunate is about a week before December 1st (Patreon charges on the first of each month), our Patreon began to plummet from
$2,600 to
$1,150. This was less then we were receiving before even releasing a demo. Luckily a few new Patreons came along before the week was over and boosted it back up to $1,250 so we did end up getting a small raise in funding from previous months, but it means roughly 60% of Pledgers to the game are dodging charges. The Patreon rose back up to $2,400 by December 3rd, so in just 3 days it's basicly back to displaying the same amount of funding.
We only reward perks to those who have been added to our pledge history (A donation has been made), so doing this is doing us more harm then good. Users will assume we are funded, old Patreons who supported us during the demos development may step out assuming we are in good hands and we can't properly budget our game or it's expenses. Please do not pledge to us if this is your intention.
