An artist I follow has a piece that they are selling at the Anthrocon art show. I am not going to AC, but still want to try to buy it.

What I need is someone who is going to AC who is willing to bid on the piece in question. It is a silent auction where bidders put their bids on the sheet next to the displayed piece. It only goes to voice auction if the sheet fills up.

All the proxy will need to do is register as a bidder, free to do from my understanding, and then bid for me on the piece of art I want. Then just check in occasionally to make sure you still have the high bid. I'll pay for all the sales taxes and shipping of course on top of the purchase price.
