MYRE at Leipziger Buchmesse

Good morning, everyone!
I hope you're doing well and enjoying the first rays of sunlight wherever you are.
I spent the last week in my hometown, Leipzig, after being invited by my publisher, SPLITTER, who released the first part of Myre Vol. 2, to attend the biggest and most visited book fair in Germany, Leipziger Buchmesse. There, I had several signings alongside amazing comic peers such as Mini Ludvin, Peter Eickmeyer & Gaby von Borstel, and the one and only Miguel Diaz Vizoso.
Live book signings sponsored by publishers usually come with quick character sketches, so I banged out tons of Myre sketches—sometimes even other characters from the story upon request. It may sound stressful, but the book fair was exactly what I needed to reconnect with myself, my art, and my readers. For the longest time, since 2019, essentially, I've missed the feeling of releasing new work and moving forward with my inspiration.
The past four years have been riddled with traumatic events that slowed down my progress on Myre Vol. 2 significantly, stretching the project to four years in the making. This is usually very risky for a publisher, so we were all surprised by how much attention Myre and Haunter of Dreams received at Leipziger Buchmesse. I really can't thank you enough.
All the sketches I did—probably more than a hundred in just four days—broke my internal art block and depression. I usually don’t talk about these things publicly, but they’ve become an important part of this project’s journey. Breaking free from that, along with finally seeing the book in your hands, is the biggest success of all.
To top it all off, my birthday fell on the second day of the convention, and my mom, who came along, organized a beautiful party for me there. The entire team at SPLITTER made it even more special and unforgettable. They gifted me a beautifully handcrafted book with a heartfelt inscription inside.
This whole community, you and the SPLITTER team, have always rooted for me, and I can't thank you enough for that. I hope you're happy with the result after all these years of waiting and that you're excited for the final book in the series, which I definitely want to create after a short hiatus. I can finally think and dream in terms of art again, and I have many ideas for fulfilling the remaining perks. There’s a lot more to come from me! Also, I've been thinking a lot about Myre and Varug. I haven’t shared much artwork of them as a duo, even though they’re at the heart of the entire series. That’s something I plan to change.
To everyone still waiting on their copy of Myre with original illustrations and character art, I’ll be in touch soon. I apologize for the long wait.
Thank you again for everything!
MYRE Vol. 2 is in stock and ready to be shipped. I ship worldwide. Leave me a note there when you order to request a signature!
