I'm still around, but just not really being social on here these days. A lot of my focus as instead been on school, tumblr, and trying to fight off my clinical depression.

The latter is very much explained very well with the metaphor used in "The Bell Jar". It's an isolating glass that separates you from the rest of the world, a mental space where none can leave and no one else can easily enter. The curved glass distorts one's view of the world, and makes the happiness and attitudes of others feel viewed from afar, much like looking at a zoo animal through a window pane.

I am slowly trying to get better, but it has been a struggle for the last few years. Around this time last year, a couple events in my personal life sorta sent me on a downward spiral for quite some time, and while I know one of those was less dramatically painful because both sides seemed to want to spare the feelings of the other, it still cast a harsh shadow on my mental self-image.
