Personal Biography: I am an undergraduate university student in Canada, currently in my final year (of five) and am studying Wood Products Processing (aka. Wood Science) in the Faculty of Forestry. If you are wondering what Wood Science is, think of any wood product you have ever seen. At the basic level, we're the people responsible for making those. We are also responsible for designing, building and testing wood products that will replace others like concrete and steel as a building material. If you're curious as to what I look like (since you've read this far already) have a look in the scraps folder for a picture.
Artistic Background: I began drawing in March, 2007 after pouring over Wannabemustangjockey's earlier works (over on DeviantArt). I've always been a fan of good art and pencil works, but like most, never have had the will or the courage to try drawing them myself. Sometime around 7am (after avoiding doing homework for 9 hours) I decided to give it a shot. I sketched out some preliminary drawings of some friends and classrooms in school on note paper and was pleased with the results. And so, after purchasing a small sketchbook and a good quality mechanical pencil I decided to take it a little more seriously.
And try to make something of myself.
Ideally, I would like to have the skills of a good illustator or concept artist to help out with my studies in school. I'm not interested in being an artist by trade, but I am interested in pursuing it along-side my Bachelor of Science degree. A well drawn diagram of a complex idea or a special part on a machine will convey that information far better and faster than any words ever could. This is especially useful in a corporate setting, where the person you speak to may have little time to speak to you.

Hey everyone,
You've probably noticed that i've been pretty inactive for the last 6 months. I've moved, I have a fantastic new job working in one of the remaining operating sawmills in western canada, and i've met the most amazing girl in that time. I rarely have time to draw these days, what with demands with school, my work, and learning a third language now (my girlfriend speaks english, spanish and french, so i don't want to feel left behind ;) ), but unfortunately, that also means i have little time to spend here as well. So, I want to thank you all for following my work in the time i've been here, because it's been fun. I've learned alot about myself as a person here as well as improving my drawing skills a great deal. But, all good things must come to an end, and my life is moving on. I may check my account occasionally, but from here on out, it can be considered closed. I'll leave my artwork here for you to enjoy.
So, it's been a slice, but it's time for me to move on. Thank you for everything - the support, the friends, and the good times.
