I kinda like keeping busy. Started watching the DEXTER series. Still have SH: Homecoming to beat.. mostly though, I've been trying to keep productive.

Outside of my day job, I've been studying Graphic Design more, and art more. I'm being really slow paced about it, but I guess that's a good thing. Been studying Adobe Illustrator, and also furthering myself in Photoshop. Learning in graphic programs is endless because there's almost an infinite number of ways to be creative. So I'm just taking it all slow and learning at my own pace. Once I start winning some of the design contests on Designcrowd with the correct knowledge and know how to top a majority of the designers on there, things will be beautiful, and then I will know I'm taking steps in the right direction.

A lot of the designers do one thing in majority on there that I think hinders their creative talent for using the programs. They aren't that creative. A lot of them seem to slightly copy what others have done in the past, or reference too closely, things they've found on the internet. So then when you browse through logos, you start to see generic similar splashed together logo designs that, (at least to me), are kinda boring. And then there are the designers who do fantastic work, that you can tell they didn't just throw it together in 10 minutes who are the ones making probably over $500 - $1000 a week.

The cool thing about it.. is it's fun, especialy if you love doing this kind of thing. You can spend 1-2 hours making up a good design, post it and have a 10% chance that you will win(ie the business or whomever picks your design). Or increase your odds with revisions and/or add more than just one design to the project.

There are small projects where usually 50-100 people will submit their ideas. And then you have stuff like, a new video game company is looking for someone to create their logo, and of course 500+ people submit their stuff, I'd never touch that personally JUST because of the odds. But USUALLY it's always somewhere around 100 submissions average. If 10 of those are YOURS, well.. there you go.

What's cool is that, if your design is bought.. that means your creation will live forever, especially if the business or company becomes well known. LOL! How nice it is to know that you made something for some company and you get no royalties. >P Although I wouldn't mind.. it'd be great enough just to know I created it.

So yeah.. that's what's up with me. I am a very boring person now.
