Lost in Space (Inside of my head)
Well! That most certainly was an interesting hiatus!
Sometimes break-ups occur, and those break-ups are followed by a long depression (not necessarily related to the "loss" of a loved one) which comes with a bunch of personal emotional exploration, self-discovery, and corresponding getting of one's shit (and life) together.
So I went from Colorado back to Minnesota with a new knowledge of what happens outside of the small town in which I was raised. Small town life just wasn't going to cut it for me. So I set some goals for myself in order to GTFO.
Antidepressant/Anti-anxiety meds had me back to talking to people, had me being more productive than I had been in a long time. I pushed myself to do more things, and within a year of being back in Minnesota I was moving out of the house and enrolling in college in another state.
More obstacles came up in the first nine months of living in Indiana. The home I moved into was...disgustingly infested with roaches. I had trouble finding work, and eventually was asked to move out so the homeowner could move back into the residence.
Good things! I moved into a non-roach infested home, found a job working nearly full time as a line cook at a local popular restaurant and was subsequently promoted to a training position within four months. I am slowly (but surely) turning myself into a BONAFIDE ADULT PERSON with a job, diploma, college career, and even a gym membership!
TL;DR VERSION
Living in Lafayette, Indiana and I am happier than I have been in longer than I can remember.
I'll even have a new camera soon. New camera means new photography, and there is this big, old world I have yet to explore.
