I am not dead, nor have I abdicated my account!

A lot has happened, I finally got aclimated to my new (tiny) tablet which have me sort of a psych attack because I wasn't sure if I could use the smaller space without making the picture quality shittier (which happened initially). My BF is in the midst of a new flurry of transition stuff which has been time consuming and costly.

In focusing on my 'rebranding' my account, I realized that I really need to stop disappearing. It's not 100% because of life and work (although I need to put something on my profile about my schedule), it's actually a guilt cycle spiraling around me getting overwhelmed by or tired of the fandom or art, being anxious, then since I feel bad about how long I take or how long I stay away, I don't come back for a loooong time. :(

These aren't excuses, I just wanted to let you know what I'm doing when I'm off being an ass.

Because my BF is dealing with what he's dealing with,I know that at some point in the spring and summer I'm going to be totally unavailable and out of town with him. Since that's technically only a few months away, I decided I needed to tie up loose ends (DUH) and hit the pavement, so to speak.

I'm habitually out of the loop, so this isn't exactly Iron Artist, but I will be both posting my commissions this week and trying to draw a picture a day.

I'm always unsure of how to feel about this whole hiatus thing. I feel bad because my turnaround time can be 2 weeks or a year. I do make effort to pop in and let commissioners know what's up, though. I also hear from other people that there are many artists that take suuuuuper long times to get around to commissions, so part of me wants not to feel as bad as I do. But I do. I feel like people must think I never really think about what I owe them or something, so I just want to let you all know that's not the case.

..this journal is a but more personal than I prefer things to be but I guess you'll understand.. or not. :/
