Hopefully my run of bad luck is now over.
Shortly after my last journal here, my hard drive spontaneously died, and I lost virtually everything. There are a handful of things backed up on an external in Nova Scotia, but that's almost entirely music files.
Anyway, new hard drive arrived yesterday, and along with a copy of Windows 7 that P had from work, I am now back up and running.
