The Writer's Block
What is this?
Did you ever look at your story, your little creation that you put hours, or possibly minutes, into creating and wish that more people would give you feedback about what you wrote? That’s where The Writer’s Block comes in. We’re looking to provide a community of writers on FurAffinity looking for feedback on their stories and are willing to read the stories of others and share their opinions. It’s a little bit of cross-promotion and a little bit weekly update. Official members of the group are watched by this account, and all our weekly digests will contain links to new stories and works in progress that have popped up. Of course, if you want to watch us without being an “official” member, you’re totally welcome!
Subbmition guidlines, how does it work?
We’re not picky about skill or number of stories that any particular author has written. All you need is one story in your gallery for others to read/critique. Just send this account requesting to join a note and either Bluedude or ArosLion will contact you back, 99% of the time with a watch to accompany it.
When you have a new story for the community to read and comment on, just send a note with a link to the story you want critiqued, the title, and a short discription if you so choose, and we’ll include it in the next update. When you send the note, you can also include a small description of the story/stories involved, as well as the tags and keywords.
And before you ask, we take general, mature, AND adult submissions!
Every other Sunday, we’ll put out a digest in both Submission and Journal form that all the stories that we’ve collected, and even make a wordle out of all the combined stories!
Though we do ask not to sumbit stories in our shout box.
What if I’m partially done with a story and want an opinion before I finish it?
That’s just as good too! A lot of us have trouble with a story when we get part of the way through. Something might feel off, or it might not feel like it’s coming together, or we just don’t know how to continue. We (
bluedude and
aroslion) suggest you sign up for GoogleDocs and put your current progress into a file there and get a sharing link. Any kind of sharing link is fine, as long as it works all the time! Then set up a journal on your userpage with that link, and send us a note, saying it’s a work in progress. We’ll include it under a different category on the weekly digests!
Are there any rules to commenting or submitting?
Yes, we have a full rule list for the confused right HERE. But it all comes down to a few simple things. Be nice, give comments when you can, and only give us short stories.
I’m afraid of getting critique on my stories! It’s scary!
We’re not going to lie. You probably shouldn’t join this group. Our entire purpose revolves around getting constructive critique and feedback. In all likelihood though, when you finish more stories and upload them, you’ll end up being less nervous about it, and you’ll want to know what people think and how you can get better. Then, we’ll welcome you with open arms.
I love you!
Thanks! ...You mean like a friend, right? Anyways you can prove you love us more by placing our avatar on your page and support our worthy cause. Thanks again!

Been a long time...
14 years agoIn the mean time, old rules will still apply, though I will not be posting any new digest, until things get more situated. I’ll add the people that asked to join, via note, and if any of you wish to join send us a note asking so. But don’t ask us to post your story in the digest, and all notes that were asking so during our ‘vacation’ will get deleted sorry to say.
On a personal note I am surprised and actually happy that we got as far as we did, and thank you all very much for your support, from watches or just showing an interest enough to view the page to even those that sent in stories they wanted critique and views from. It’s very fulfilling to see and idea you came up with come to life and do well.
So yeah, stay tuned as alwasy and I will hope to have this place back up for business soon!
Thanks again

It\'s a series I\'ve been writing and it has 8 chapters... It\'s post-apocalyptic and I thought someone here would like to read it. Well... That\'s it. Bye, guys! Thanks for reading!
