I used ancient Celtic costume as a jumping off point for the clothing and equipment of this race. Many of their warriors would go into battle clad in little more than a few gold torcs (bracelets-these guys tended to wear their wealth rather than putting it in the bank) , some war paint and a handful of pig fat to spike up the hair-so actually this character is totally historically accurate/ not at all rude ;)
