you see the skylanders were banished to earth and were turned into there toy like states witch they are now forever frozen in and upon someone form earth getting one they take the skylander home and place them on the portal thus sending the sprite to skylands while there frozen body remains on earth on the portal, but it douse not stop there as once there soul is back in skylands they are sill not in control it is you as the player using your joy stick and buttons to control the skylanders mind and make them do what you want and the game makes this clear with the all the refances to the skylanders been tapped on earth and portal masters are on earth and can send there sprites back to skylanders to fight kaos but you still have control over them, so it came in that all you with the toys are evil, as you have full control of these creatures in both body and mind and are manipulating them via ps3 or x-box ect into do what ever you want them to do and they obey basically meaning using slavers over both the body and minds of theses creatures for nothing more that your own entertainment.
