I'm on the right track, Baby!
I was born this Way!
Nawww, I am really happy with the outcome on this one, as I only used gradient shading which is my favorite of all techniques. I often try to follow tutorials and "copy" the shading styles of others because they looks so awesome but turn out to looks awfully wrong with my drawings -- maybe also because I loose patience rather quick ^^;
Anyway, there was an inspiration for this piece nonetheless. Was browsing devresadoptables'@DA gallery and came across this one: http://resadoptables.deviantart.com.....OSED-353671158
I liked the idea of a bigger BG pic and the rounded border. Seen it before, forgot about it but this deviation totally inspired me to do my own one and here it is c;

Hm... i like the blending between the foreground character and the Background Image. The surrounding dots gives a hint of Popart :)
Though (well you asked for critics, here is one *wink*) i think, that the arm on the left is a bit too short, compare to the raised one on the right. Might be just subjective nevertheless.
