I'm a huge Tales fan. Haven't played them all, but Phantasia, Eternia, Symphonia, Abyss, Symphonia '2', Vesperia, and Graces have been quite enjoyable to me as a whole. Was even fine with Legendia, I'd say. In particular, I really, really love Abyss' story and characters.

I'm not going to lie, though. Graces F has left me very hesistant about Xillia. It's hard saying that to someone with Asbel Lhant as their username, but I had issues with the game that I hope end up being addressed ^^; Xillia *looks* like I'll enjoy it and all, just need to find out when we get a release here, which I think is...August?

Well, you have played more tales of than me, anyways, Symphonia is my favorite, followed by Vesperia (the PS3 version) and Xillia, which is being awesome (can't imagine how Xillia 2 will be, I have that one already waiting!!)

And yes, I believe it arrives to the US/EU the 6-9 of August ^^ I do prefer the japanese voices in this cases, though I usually choose the English ones, haha!

Ah Vesperia....man, Yuri. What an -awesome- protaganist! Vesperia is #3 for me, right after Abyss and Symphonia, yeah. A laaarge part of that is simply how awesome Yuri is, along with Flynn and Raven.

If you manage to get a hand on Abyss sometime I do recommend it if you like Symphonia and Vesperia! It was their first game with Free Run and it's a lil' easy because of it, but definitely a great story there, least for me ^^;

For Xillia, do you pick which 'main character' to play as? The intro movies make me feel like you do. If so, how much does that affect things? I mean, it had an impact on Star Ocean 2 but not a huuuuge one overall. Any idea so far?

Yep, you can ^^ Jude (the guy) and Milla (the girl) In the beginning, it doeswn't really affect, just few scenes, but in the middle-ending part, the paths 'divide' more or less, and then you have pretty different scenes with each one of the characters.

Jude story is more focused on action and bosses, Milla's on history, I believe, I'm doing Jude's one right now ^^


And I have to play Abbyss, as soon as I get a better computer!
