My latest muse? A gryphonic anthro.
Originally planned as a tribute to any ordinary anthrogryph, but my imagination demanded something else, and this is how he turned out.
You might say, he demanded I draw him like this. After all, wings aren't some mere deformities sticking out the back; they're a set of arms too!
Prismacolors on 9x12", six hours plus digital background.

Nice choice of colours. Brown and gold are classic gryphon. Purple ties in nicely with the gold, appeals to my colour sense :) And I'm always a fan of feather details.
I know you were aiming to have the wings as a second set of "arms", and they're working very well as such, but I don't much like the arms. They look almost as if they were added as an afterthought: they look a bit awkward where they are, and too short proportionally. Realistically speaking in any case, those wings aren't going to lift him off the ground. They're not big enough. But, mythical creature, so I suppose realism isn't such an issue.
Liking his expression, and the way he's focused on the sky. Gives it almost a suspenseful air, like he's just about to take flight. So I like the overall atmosphere.
If you hadn't called it a gryphon, I'd have called it an eagle anthro, because I'm seeing more eagle than anything else. But then, I've seen so many types of gryphon that it doesn't really matter.
