Additional reference, Eve's typical accessories.

What Eve lacked in physical development, she made up for mentally. She is extremely gifted as an engineer. She learned ways to develop equipment far more powerful and compact than previously could be transported by one person.

Her typical equipment consists of the shield, worn on her left arm at all times, her pistol, and a small blade. She keeps these items on herself at all times. While armed she is quite formidable. Without, she feels extremely vulnerable.

The pistol is more of a tactical weapon. It has much higher output than standard sidearms, and a variety of firing options. It serves her well in many circumstances, and has enough force to even punch through some tough armor. But for the most sturdy opponents, she will inevitably need more. The pistol has a limited overloading capability which will dramatically increase its output at the cost of burning out specific components. The weapon is designed to have these components quickly changed out, and she typically keeps some spares on her person.

The large "cannon" due to its size is a bit more cumbersome to carry around at all times. Though she is stronger than the typical human, the weapon itself is deceptively easy to wield in her hands. However, in the wrong persons hands it will actively resist their attempts to move or use it. The crude exterior is also somewhat deceptive. The main goal is for the weapon to be sturdy and last *forever*. The casing is extremely hard and durable, keeping all of the complex inner workings safe from any level of mishandling. Her emphasis in design was power and reliability. If she found it abandoned at the bottom of an ocean 2500 years after losing it, her expectations would be to immediately be able to pick it up and fire it.

The weapon doesn't need to look fancy and fragile to be advanced technology.
