"STUNT DRIVER" actually. I earned that from using the car on a driving course and pulling as few moves that many others have wrecked in.

Actually, I used the van ahead of the car to flat-tow the Ford to Pitts. Just 30 miles from the hotel, I unhooked the car, removed the tow bar and lights, reinstalled the front bumper and driveshaft (automatic) and drove the last few miles with my mate driving my van with the GPS. The roads weren't bad, but parking lots are tight for an old car and no power steering.

Yep...this is a rough area for any vehicle. Glad you did make it though.

That shows you how much of a badass mechanic he is. Just pulled over, threw on the bumper and driveshaft, and drove it the rest of the way. Probably faster than I could change a headlight bulb.

It's a newer one. a 97 Model found on Craigslist for $500. needed a fuel pump, both power window motors, and an A/C compressor.

sweet steel i just picked up an 04 Dodge Intrepid that im gonna work on all it needs is a new oil pump i plan to trick it out with a new body kit rims stereo and head and tail lights id love to drive it to AC but my mate will insist we take his Subaru lol

Oh, no trailer. It was flat-towed. just slide off the front bumper, install a custom towbar, remove the driveshaft and cap the transmission tailshaft. Takes about 45 minutes to do that. I would have driven the car, but my Fiancee wanted to do Anthrocon and she likes air conditioning. And that is a Chevy Astro. Towed the car with no mods, even though I bought an external trans cooler kit just in case. It was a tow capacity of 5000 lbs and the car is maybe 3100 lbs.

I thought that van looked familiar. We used to have a GMC Safari, which is almost the same as the Astro. Just a little longer, and usually with a custom interior and custom paint. Astros are almost always stock.

This was the LS model. It has the lower body cladding and second row captains chairs. Rear heat and A/C.
