Yes with 3d pics, it's always better when you have some different layers.
The feeling of depth in a picture is achieve by the width between the two lenses. As the lenses are really close from one to another on this model the 3d effect is nicer if you stand not too far from the camera, it's why full shoots are always a bit more flat if there's nothing in the way between the model and the cameraman.
With my loreo lens, the depth is much more intensive, because the two lenses are really far from each other. I can make pics with more 3d than any brain could stand with that other lens ;p
