by the time I wrote this I had made the decision that Jarr was not going to be able to actually do magic. he's an expert martial artist and well as a very good marksman, I figured that magic on top of that was just too much. he still has the capacity for it, which is was he can sense someone else being a magic user, but he doesn't do it himself
