I had plans this summer and let's look at what I did:
-I finished making and uploading the 4th chapter of Seven Pack. It'll be a while before I will do the same for the 5th chapter, but eh, it'll come.
-I did manage to do that big contest end video... and hey, I also did an "episode zero" for the reboot of my show
http://farelthegecko.wordpress.com/.....-introduction/
It's too bad a real episode 1 will have to wait until November at LEAST, but hey, still happy
-I did record more Romancing SaGa videos. As I upload this image, I do publish new videos on a weekly basis, each Saturday, for now it's just a beginner's guide, but there'll be more.
-I managed to finish up the 2 contest award pictures that I was meant to do. I still need to make one for carcasshellhound, but there's reasons for the delay (carcasshellhound, if you're reading this, I promise, I haven't read your message yet, but I will, I will!!!). But well, seems like I'll have to draw something else after that too.... wait, huh? Why was that again?
OH RIGHT! OpenGL!!! I remember now! See, during the 4th semester of college, I had to deal with OpenGL, a vicious beast 3d graphic programming language thing... remember?

Yeah, we needed to show some project at the end of the year, but apparently all the projects sucked, so we had to work during the vacation, which is what I was doing. Today I did do it, I showed my project, it got accepted and now I've received the max score. I feel so happy and accomplished... so happy in fact that I'm uploading this to show you people what my project looks like.
The image is split into 4 sections: red, yellow, green and blue. Each of them features 2 screens, the smaller ones in the upper left are versions that I had made at the end of the semester, while the bigger version underneath is my current project, so let's get through them:
RED: A view from above, as you can see I changed the roof from being just another rectangle shape, into a pyramid one, because I've learned to create xml files for this purpose.
YELLOW: This gives a better overview, I made an additional door, and they both are leaned inside. Also with the textures everywhere, I figured now the walls being of the same color caused no problems and was the better way to go.
GREEN: Earlier the scaling of objects messed up lightning, and so just a touch of the white cube, which is meant to be a light bulb, totally made everything go bright. Now this has been corrected.
BLUE: The point I brought up earlier is made more clear here, as I show how odd the chair and the table looked, while the newer version shows better results.... oh and yeah, I added a gimmicky function where pressing spacebar switches textures and turns the ceiling into "The Creation of Adam" from the Sistine Chapel....... why? ... BECAUSE!
At this point I want to thank Evildraggie for all the help he's given me with the project. SURE I did quite some stuff of my own here, but I like to think that without him I'd never get the lightning down and his tips on various things were most helpful, so he'll earn himself a free image from me!
Thanks man, thanks a lot!
