My cat Addy (Her name, actually, is Attention Defecit Disorder, because dad thinks she has it) happens to like me, a lot. and typically lays on my back when i sleep. well, when she wants to love me and Im sitting up, my shoulders become a perch, and my back aches XD;; I think Addy has a vendetta against my lower back.

I think she likes me through some sort of twist; originally she was my sister's cat. And as such, she always tried to playfight with my sister. She learned that, when my sister would shower, she shaved her legs; smoothe rlegs were funner to attack. so she'd hide under the table by th ebathroom door and attack my sister as she came out. this usually got her a light kick, and she'd take off to go hide in my sister's room for attack 2. After attack 2, she would be shut out of my sister's room, but I'd love on her all she wanted...
ROFL!!! dude my cat is exactly the same, she is at the edge of the rug constantly. Laying on her side grabbing the rug with her front claws and use her back legs to kick the crap out of it XD
Oh and btw the lower back thing is all part of your cats plot to make you bow to her will he he X3

My cat does that back leg kick to a tennis ball all the time. XD Seriously.. I keep some on hand an when she looks playful but bored, I'll roll one at her. She grabs it up with her front paws, an then bats an kicks at it with her hind paws. She loves that.. just holding the ball, rolls to her back, an then cradles it while she kicks at it. Sometimes chews it too. :} Very loving, gentle cat. her only problem is shedding like no one's business. :P If she didn't shed so much.. yeah. You'd see her at least in my lap constantly... she kinda attached to me. :P
Cats are learning the ways of the shadows... Just look at ninja cat.
