I hate backgrounds too. You spend so long sorting out the character and then realise there's about a billion more things to do around them.
But kudos to you for taking the time on this, because I can imagine this took a fair old while. The colouring is very impressive and those highlighted edges are working nicely for you. Plus flat train in a paw print =

I feel the same as you about backgrounds, they're a pain to make most of the times, specially if there's a lot of elements in it, but in any case you always manage to bring up an outstanding result ^^.

Oooh yeah! I definitely like this skin-like sole you drew.. And holy cow that detail.. everywhere! LOL at the car's license plate "oh no" XD. I even noticed you drew the pink reflection in the windows for your second foot approaching it. You really took attention to detail to this one in every aspect imaginable! This totally deserves to be given tons of credit, comments, faves, and I'd say it's one of your best yet! I bet you could even sell prints of this if you wanted :3.
