This is a special GIFT ART to my friend 
tornado
Why is it so special?
1) He was the VERY FIRST character I've drawn over two years ago... and this started all the "I'm drawing another character!" games. Yes, until then I only drew REPTILE or a very few selected friends.
But with TORNADO, all the "GIFTS" and "ART TRADE" fun started for real!
2) This artwork here is a remake of my previous drawing:

As you can see, the concept and pose is VERY similar... sure, it's a remake. I'm especially happy about the shadings and the more dynamic body pose and anatomy.

** Background: this is a combination of four photograpghs in which you can see clouds, storm, a tornado and lightning. Everything has been modified and enhanced with filters.
You may think that this is kinda lazy... using photos as background. Maybe. But I think I rather succeeded in combining the photos AND my drawing!

Hm.... I don't understand your point, buddy.
Both arms are relatively dark and only being lit by the surrounding light around the edges.
There is lightning, a sun (somewhere left) and that's about it.
There is a small light source in front of him and on the left side. That's why his arm has highlights on several parts.

Oh... aaand if you're asking about the left biceps: that's simple.
The biceps is a round shape. And like all round shapes, like a pipe, there are highlights on the upper AND downside, because the light source is right behind the arm. It's supposed to be like this when you have a round shape.

Not only the biceps. Right arm also has a touch of light you mentioned. And his right arm is covered with the shadow of the body because, as you say, the light source is behind. I would not be annoying to you Buddy, but your explanation of rounded forms, for that point, does not clarify my doubts. But never mind. You are always for me an example of beautiful pieces of art.

And since I was sick for two days, I had time to draw this one.
Btw... is it okay if I follow the design of your character (which you sent me) in every detail?
He's kinda cute. And I'd like to draw a rather cartoony, cute character for a change.

You did awesome work on for your buddy there, I really do like how well you drew out his character and the background... I don't think it's so lazy now, after all you mixed up four images together for it and added your own touch to them of course. So you show besides your drawing skills, your editing skills. Nice gift made with care! ^^
