Commission for great
leadhead of their gryphon in Doom universe! In this very moment they're probably preparing for some struggle. He isn't shooting now, of course, I know how these weapons work and such pose would be rather silly. He just carries it.
Technically - the most difficult commission I've ever got.
But it's nothing bad! As you know (or at least some of you are aware of it) - I love challenges. I think I've learned a lot from drawing this picture!
First - perspective. Technical, not organic forms - these are my biggest problems in drawing. I hope it went okay here, though! I did my best.
Second - techinque. I decided to use a different paper for this commission and it was a really bad decision. It was way more difficult to archieve interesting effects on it On the other hand, I've also used my new watercolors here. They're much better than my old ones, so I found them very helpful!
Well, even scanning this was problematic. It's bigger than A4 and I had to match 3 scans to make the picture above . . . It looks much better in person anyway. But that's enough of complaining. I worked hard to archieve all these effects and I really hope you like it! It was great to draw such big piece. I'm glad you decided to trust me and I'm getting more and more commissions with backgrounds. It's really fun to do and I learn much more from such works!
