Finally alone, the couple sought to protect their privacy in the meadow. The autumn moon large and bright lit their path, and stars burst across the sky's inky canvas. They stopped, absorbed in the beauty and stillness of the night, finding themselves slowly sinking down to the lush grass. The air was crisp, and as they cuddled close to each other a shooting star gleamed across the stellar expanse. Awed and joyed, the fox asked his lover what she had wished for.
"Nothing silly; I already have you!" she replied, poking his chest playfully.
He couldn't have stopped the grin spreading across his face if he tried.
