Well, it's like a "come on" line. The "in" is the way that a guy can get closer to a girl- but like bad come-on lines, they can be totally rejected!
"This stuff is 56$, but let me put it on you and its free" = an "in" , basically it's his way of removing boundaries to her, but it's a spectacular fail.

Haha, yeah.. It's one of those artist's lapses. Haha. Also notice how sometimes I get lazy and keep Effie's collar white, and not black like it should be. In the middle of the comic, she had a buckle that would be on the collar, but it disappears after I get too lazy to keep drawing it.
