A quick pic I did of Armadillo Toughset's parents, Taylor the Armadillo, and Denise the coyote. The joke here is that everyone in armadillo Toughset's family met their wife by rescuing them from a damsel-in-distress scenario. Taylor is a firefighter, and rescued Denise from a burning office building. The same is for Toughset's grandparents and so on. So yeah, that's a thing now.

I enjoy the concept a lot. Funny thing, I immediately thought "lumberjack" when I saw Pa Toughset, but firefighter works too.

Also this makes Toughset half-coyote, eh?

Well to my understanding, anthro genetics don't work like that. Since everyone seems content on making them all compatible, I guess species would be akin to something like skin color, or eye color. Which, to that merit, both kids have their mother's eyes and hair

In my own setting of choice, species does matter. There are still cross species couples, but, it's considered kinda kinky, and these couples need substantial outside help if they're going to have kids.

Just, thought I'd mention that, since you brought up the subject.

Taylor himself looks like a good guy too.
