What is Dion? Not sure, never given the specie a decent name yet, I just call them 'fuzzies'. The "ice" idea came in a dream, when I seen Dion appear from above traveling along on a magically appearing ice road, that immediately melts afterwards.

Dion was about four-five feet tall, jittery and spoke with a lisp. I do recall his very long tail, whacking at anything near.
