Well, in all honesty? Its art. Just like in a cartoon when someone gets a anvil dropped on their head and lives, you can do things with art that would not be possible with real world physics :3 If I you want science on it, then its just a simple matter of the elasticity of the soft tissue of the throat and stomach. If the skin and muscle has enough give to it (think of how a snake's throat stretches when it swallows food) then it can handle a solid object passing into it.
Same reason people like Anthros, roller Coasters, or even golf. It appeals to some part of them or gives them a thrill that they do not otherwise get :3 At the base level enjoying anything is the same, even if it doesn't make sense XD And it doesn't have to make sense for everyone. And then you get into the different reasons people like it, which can get more confusing as no two people like the same thing! But I am rambling here, and you only needed the base of that XD
