Not much to say here just kind of applying that whole TV meme thing Stheno’s reaction to flutterhulk NOW BEING FREAKIN’ CANON ZOMG!
I don’t know what else to say really, it like short circuits my brain in the same way equestrian girls did (but in a GOOD way). I mean I knew about the super hero episode and I joked about seeing an actual flutterhulk, but in the back of my mind I was like “Nah, that’d be to weird for them, I figure they’ll just give her a lame power like heart or being aquaman on land. :P” but I love it when my cynicism is proved wrong XD.
Since I had to do the animation I got to see all the fine details and I must say it’s kind of impressive all things considered

ah I see it's working that's good! I think there was some kind of error at first so I uploaded a smaller file and switched it out and that might have done the trick. Is it showing up in the submissions too?
Yeah while it was an obvious choice I didn't think they'd do it XD. While they may not play it straight with her subverting the role doing things like asking villians if it's alright to hit them with a 1-to slab of concrete, I will still find it highly entertaining!

Honestly, I think the writers are zeroing in on things and getting how the fans feel. They can recognize when to play things straight and when to subvert. With this episode being in a comic book world they could feel free to play it straight. Super-speed Pinkie (already a fanon thing), Flutterhulk (ditto), rope-using AJ, and Dash being awesome. It remains to be seen what powers Rarity and Twilight get.
yeah they played it 100% straight, good call. I've got mixed feelings as I think this might be her "crowning moment of awesome" as I cannot imagine them building up her "assertiveness" any further than it culminating in this and it makes me a little sad (well...I guess they could temporarily make her a dragon for irony's sake XD).
