whirlbat's character, Kit-Shades-Fo. Isn't he just the sexiest thing you've ever seen? For a bat, anyway. ;) Took several hours in openCanvas to color. Tried a few new techniques, such as the highlights in his fur and the textures of his shirt and wings. I found those on free online texture libraries, so no worries about copyright issues. This piece was commissioned by

now with the colours and shades it looks far better than the already well-done sketch. I can see a couple left-over lines from that, which is a good thing; it gives the picture some spontaneity and life.
